GCSE PE Exam Component 2 (Health & Performance)

Practice Moderation In preparation for official moderation day, we will be undertaking 7 practical sessions in place of your theory lessons so that all students feel confident, prepared and capable of demonstrating the required skills and techniques on moderation day itself. Each of these sessions will focus on a particular sport and will be ran using the same drills and activities that are planned to be used for moderation day; 

Monday 11th March: Football & Netball

Wednesday 13th March : Climbing – Students not climbing will use this as a theory lesson

Friday 15th March: Handball & Netball

Monday 18th March:

Wednesday 20th March:

Friday 22nd March:

Monday 25th March: This will be used as a final rehearsal for moderation day so that all final instructions, details and timings are fully understood.

The content of these practical sessions will be dependent on which sports/students have been selected for the official moderation.

It is essential that students attend these sessions and come fully prepared to participate in isolated drills and competitive game situations. Although certain students may not be using a particular sport during one of these sessions, it is expected that you still contribute to the best of your ability so that you assist your fellow peers in performing to their best. Please ensure; 

You arrive to these lessons promptly and change immediately.

You come equipped with the correct PE kit and footwear.

Any specialist equipment (Shin pads, Rackets etc.) are brought along with you.

You approach these sessions seriously and with the intent to do your very best.

Fully understand what is expected of you and ask questions if you are uncertain.
