The food and drink manufacturing operations Level 3 NVQ will appeal to a person with supervisory /management responsible for varied and complex work activities within the food and drink manufacturing industry and want to gain a nationally recognised qualification.

Duration: This is a flexible programme and will depend upon the individuals own achievements and the requirements of the employer. The qualification should normally be complete within 12 - 18 months.

Industrial/Work Experience Candidates must be employed at a suitable level within the industry. It requires a higher standard of technical skills and knowledge than level 2, with considerable responsibility and autonomy.

Train to Gain can help you get the right skills and is available to all providing that the learner: • Has been a lawful resident in the UK for the last 3 years, or fulfil the LSC’s residency criteria (detailed in the LSC’s Learner Eligibility Guidance 2008/09) • Has a job and contract of employment • Does not already hold or be working towards their first full Level 2 qualification (unless held in a different sector of employment) or equivalent, which equates to a qualification equivalent in standard and breadth to 5 GCSEs at Level A - C. • Must be granted paid time to train during working hours (as per contract of employment) • If aged between 16-18, employees are already legally entitled to free learning and therefore not eligible for Train to Gain funding.
