•The Grangeville Senior Citizens Center will be the venue for a holiday luncheon for all adults, with support from Syringa Hospital and Clinics. This is set for Friday, Dec. 2, noon, the regular lunch time. A special meal will be served tableside and there will be door prizes. There is no charge for the meal but donations are appreciated and will benefit the senior nutrition program. •Grangeville’s 31st Annual Holiday Gift and Food Fair is set for Saturday, Dec. 3, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Grangeville Elementary Middle School with more than 70 tables of unique and handmade gift items. In addition, homemade lunch will be served all day. This year will also include the Camas Prairie Children’s Business Fair of handcrafted items made by local kids. •Sts. Peter and Paul Parish women will host a food and gift bazaar at the church parish hall Saturday, Dec. 3, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Soup and salad lunch will be available 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
•The Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive is being sponsored again this year by the Grangeville Kiwanis. Did you know that 95 percent of the monies collected are returned to our area through Community Action Agency? That's an amazing return to help our local people in need. Children read the verses while families place the ornaments on the tree. This is followed by a finger-food potluck at 6 p.m. All are invited to attend. On Saturday, Dec. 24, 5 p.m., a Christmas Eve service of candlelight and roses, features a story of Christmas, special music and traditional carols. Just under one hour in length to accommodate family Christmas Eve festivities. Everyone is welcome. On Saturday, Dec. 31, 5 p.m., a New Year's Eve potluck followed by the popular E-Free Talent show at about 6 p.m. will take place. An evening of food, fun and fellowship, all are welcome. •Cornerstone Theater will present performances of “A Christmas Carol” on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 9-11, at the United Methodist Church in Grangeville.
