rea districts and schools were contacted by the Idaho Press-Tribune and asked to provide information regarding major changes and highlights entering the 2013-14 school year.

CALDWELL SCHOOL DISTRICT The Caldwell School District will see few changes at the principal and administration levels this school year. Former Assistant Superintendent Monica White sought out, and was selected for, the Monica White principal position for Can- Canyon Springs High yon Springs High School and School principal the Freshman Academy. Luci Asumendi replaces White at the district level as the new assistant superintendent. Asumendi most recently served as a principal in the Homedale School District for five years. In addition, a new liberal arts academy will begin at Caldwell High School. “The LAA is one facet of this school district’s effort at enhancing the level of rigor at the secondary level,” Rosandick said. EMMETT SCHOOL DISTRICT The Emmett School District will ask voters Aug. 27 to approve a two-year, $2.8 million supplemental levy. The levy would be $1.4 million each year. The same levy failed May 21 by 39 votes. If approved, it will restore 15 positions, $436,000 in operating budgets and a new roof on the domes at Emmett High School. School starts Aug. 22
