HIKING

Whether a cosy themed walk or a challenging mountain tour. The Idalp at 2,320 m is the ideal starting point for walks of all kinds. Modern lift facilities transport visitors up the Idalp, high above Ischgl, where visitors can make their choice. An excursion to Samnaun in Switzerland is also possible or how about exploring a high ropes course?! Plus much more! A free walking guide featuring 80 tours across Paznaun and a compass map can be obtained free-of-charge from the tourist office! ISCHGL – IDALP ADVENTURE TRAIL This new and spectacular adventure trail leads from Ischgl to the Idalp (2,320 m). The three-hour walk leads along a 7.5 km long and newly laid footpath via three Alpine vegetation zones and across two impressive suspension bridges which extend across the Kitzloch gorge. For a faster journey to the Idalp, take the Silvrettabahn or Fimbabahn cable car (ascent free with the all-inclusive Silvretta Card). From here, the delightful ‘Vider Truja adventure park’ is just a 5 minute walk away.

Hiking, Idalp Adventure Trail, Suspension Bridges

Thanks to its location at the heart of Paznaun, the former mountain farming village of Ischgl is the ideal place for hikers and sports enthusiasts. Adventurers, pleasure-seekers, families and mountain lodge fans will all find plenty of walking-based highlights to enjoy here!

SUSPENSION BRIDGES Kitzloch and Bärenfalle are over 100 m long and tower an unbelievable 70 m above the Fimbabach. These two suspension bridges have been built exclusively for pedestrians and cross over the impressive Kitzloch gorge. Definitely not for the faint-hearted!

Walk of Lyrics

NEW HIGHLIGHT 2013 WALK OF LYRICS A new attraction has been added to the adventure trail and now includes some world stars of the music industry along with a fascinating landscape. The legendary concerts which take place on the Idalp stage emphasise Ischgl’s entertainment concept. International music stars can now be seen here in summer too as songs by Rihanna, Udo Jßrgens and Sting are played in a range of different settings. Away from the stage, in a forest by a wild brook, the songs by the stars are presented in a new and unique way. The focus is on the poetry of the songs which, at times, are presented gently in text format to highlight the lyricism of the words. A pictorial interpretation of the song text then follows as an acoustic sound experience.
