Reading motorcycle club 100th aniversary party july 24, 25 & 26th 2014 • oley, pennsylvaniA
story ridin’ & pics by Lutz
What can you say about a monster party like this? With the offerings of hundreds of kegs of Pennsylvania’s finest beer, the best “beauty” contest around, tons of bikes along with biker games and drag racing (and not be forgotten ..the shit-house drags!). There are tons of vendors, food and biker goodies alike. the finest assortment of bikers you ever want to camp out around, a dunk tank, helicopter rides, burnout pit, nonstop music by local and national groups (this year going all out featuring The Fabulous Thunderbirds!) That’s a tough one... but yeah, it does get better.... celebrating the 100 year anniversary of the Reading Motorcycle Club!! It’s kinda hard to get better than this...now that’s the shit!! From the rope off the weekend before to when it all ends with fireworks Sunday morning (early!) this was definitely a party to be at. Happy anniversary Reading Motorcycle Club... and long may you ride!

Landsdale bike night 2014
Landsdale pennsylvania • september 7 2014
story ridin’ and pics by Lutz
I heard quite a bit of buzz on this bike night and since my favorite bike night at Burlington was not going on anymore... well, this caught my attention. So on the bike and across the river I went. I gotta say I wasn’t disappointed, first the ride was a great one and arriving at downtown Landsdale and seeing the tons of bikes lined up, things just got better! I immediately broke out the camera and was in heaven. As with most bike nights go, the town hosting opens up its doors to the motorcycle community. Local businesses are open so those in attendance eat, drink, and shop from local merchants, its a great atmosphere for all that attend. This is Landsdales 19th year doing this and it was scheduled as a Saturday night event but with bad weather it was moved to the following day, which still didn’t seem to put a dent in the crowd. Downtown was mobbed! As you walked around the bikes lined the streets and as you got off of main street there was an area which was loaded with vendors of all kinds. There was also a bike show with lots of bikes, custom and stock alike as well as American and metric. Tough job for the judges that day, as if that wasn’t enough, a live band was making your ears happy and plenty of places to fill your belly and quench that thirst too! Already looking to go back next year.

New jersey state hog rally 2014
Seaside heights New jersey • September 18,19,20, 2014
story ridin’ and pics by Lutz
This past September rolling in and with summer coming to the end most still wanna get out on there bike and get in that last month or two of good t-shirt riding weather... and if you live in New jersey and are a shore fan that also means hitting Seaside Heights and the likes, to get that last visit to your favorite bar or restaurant before they start shutting down the boardwalk. As luck would have it a perfect combination happens in Seaside Heights, NJ right around this time of year, the state HOG rally comes to town.,some also call it seaside bike week as well. As mentioned the Harley owners group, HOG, does their annual rally where members ride in from all points to enjoy some riding and some fun in the sun! Most activities occur near the Hershey motel and Captain Hooks bar where vendors and bands are setup to entertain the many motorcyclists that crowd this shore town in late September. Many local Harley dealers have setups there to so if you wanna get that new Harley shirt from your favorite shop you can do so. With bikes rolling up and down the boulevard past all the food and drink vendors and bands playing, there’s plenty of stuff to see and do. Just because the majority of the bike events happen near this area, you are after all by the world famous Seaside Heights boardwalk with places like Spicys Cantina and JR’s are also catering to the motorcycle crowd this week with great food and drink specials as well as tons of attractions that attracted the rally here in the first place!

1st friday liberty vintage motorcycles Philadelphia, Pennsylvania • 1st friday of every month • 8pm
story ridin’ & pics by Lutz
A little more than a year ago a friend of mine suggested i check out this open house gig in Philly at a bike shop named Liberty Vintage Motorcycle in the fish-town section of Philly. As Philadelphia is a favorite destination of mine to hit some bike runs up, on the scoot and westbound i went! Adam Cramer the owner and host of this event you may remember from a cable channel show called “Philly Throttle” that featured his business finding, fixing and bringing back to life old and new motorcycles. A class act guy that he is and down to earth guy as well, shows with him and crew opening up the shop once a month to all with an open house. The shop is lined up with motorcycles of all kinds, while the outside gives you enough to keep you busy, inside there’s tons of stuff to do too. Adam usually has many local bands and other entertainment like the band Roxy Rollz and performers from the Cotton Candy Circus Arts perform there on on a regular bases. Bring a cup because there’s plenty to drink too! All of this is in the shop, just show up and have fun..how can you beat that!? And there’s not just bikes there too,you never know what your gonna’ see sticking out of the corner..or above ...until next month!

Jam on productions motorcycle swap meet Pennsylvania farm show complex • Harrisburg Pennsylvania • November, 16th 2014
story ridin’ & pics by Lutz
Definitely one of the best swap meets in the northeast is this event! This swap meet will cure the blues and help you find what you’ve been looking for to spruce up your bike. Jam on productions is run by a well seasoned crew that know what to do when it comes to a motorcycle swap meet. They have been around motorcycles and riding for years. This swap meet is held several times a year and always has endless parts available... ya just gotta dig sometimes through the bins to find what you need, but hell that’s half the fun! Tires, tanks, engines, transmissions and far way too much to mention... new and used parts all at great prices too. I’m not sure where you wanna start? Many a classic motorcycle are on display which can get your mind going... knucklehead, panhead, shovelhead, blockhead. Maybe it’s time to start building (or finishing) that classic you always wanted to construct... but no doubt you can find the parts here! Another cool thing that this swap meet has is that towards the end of the show they do a motorcycle parts auction. Parts goin’ to the highest bidder... you just may find that part really cheap, I guess the only way to find out is come and check it out!

Harley rendevous swap meet 2015 garden state exhibition center • somerset nj • january 10 & 11, 2015
story ridin’ & pics by Lutz
Nothing like a early winter swap meet to get the mood for better riding coming soon. And one of the few that has been one to look for in early year is the Harley rendezvous swap meet, held at the Garden State Exhibition Center in Somerset, NJ for many years. Many come out to break the winter blues and check out what is at the swap meet, and as soon as you walk in and see, there are lots of goodies there for sure! Motorcycle parts, memorabilia, a cool bike show, live music too. If you where looking to get some ink you could have got that this year too. Plenty of stuff to do, no doubt! So next winter sometime around January, if you get cabin fever come on out and check out a New Jersey favorite.

ROAR TO THE SHORE - WILDWOOD 2015 -
WILD WOOD, nj • SEPTEMBER 10TH-13TH, 2015
story ridin’ & pics by Lutz
This is a one of a kind motorcycle rally, held in Wildwood, NJ, that took place this past September and covered every square inch of town. What makes Roar to the Shore a crowd favorite, besides the fact that it’s free? It’s centralized location. Wildwood, New Jersey is located 150 miles or less from most major east coast cities; including, Philadelphia, New York, Baltimore and Washington D.C. - there’s no need to trailer your bikes to this rally. Once you’re here, just sit back, relax and enjoy the festivities. Take advantage of the scenic back road rides Cape May County has to offer. High quality vendors were located throughout the five separate lots, with stunt shows, custom bike shows, live music and other numerous special events. JANUARY, 2016

Hellraisers m/c spring party 2015
Philadelphia, PA • april 24, 2015
story ridin’ & pics by Lutz
I always love riding to Philadelphia, lots of stuff to do... cheesesteaks, concerts, sports events, riding down narrow streets setting off car alarms! But one of the best things I like to do in the city of brotherly love is check out the motorcycle scene, obviously! And one party that is held in Philly is put on by Hellraisers m/c. Two times a year, Hellraisers m/c puts on a party and like there saying “Ain’t no party like a Hellraisers party”... thats the truth! The party is held at their clubhouse, the outside the street motorcycles where lined up from one end of the block to the other. Once inside its all you can eat and drink… now that’s a party! And that’s not all, a DJ or sometimes a band, gets the party started with some cool tunes. Laid out are trays off food, Tony Luke’s pork, meatballs, roast beef, etc to fill your belly. Meanwhile back at the bar, did i mention all u can eat AND drink?! Many clubs and friends come out to make this party making it a “to do” on the check list. As the night went on a few door prizes where drawn to a few happy winners. Looking around the room you can catch a good vibe as everyone is definitely enjoying this one you almost don’t wanna leave.......

KNOW THE LAW BY ATTORNEY STEVE STAMBAUGH
H
For third (3rd) time offenders, the following penalties apply: Tier 1 BACs have a minimum sentence of 10 days imprisonment which the Court can extend for up to 2 years plus a one year license suspension followed by a full year of an ignition interlock after your license is restored; Tier 2 BACs have a minimum sentence of 90 days imprisonment which the Court can extend for up to 5 years plus 18 months license suspension followed by a full year of an ignition interlock after your license is restored; Tier 3 BACs have a minimum sentence of 1 year imprisonment which the Court can extend for up to 5 years plus 18 months license suspension followed by a full year of an ignition interlock after your license is restored. As you can see from the foregoing, the penalties escalate quickly as your BAC increases. I have not touched upon the fines but let me assure you that they are substantial in addition to which, when you do get your license back, your insurance rates will have gone through the roof. Also, the maximum period of incarceration is also the period of time that you will be on probation, which means that if you violate the law while on probation, you will have the new offense to deal with as well as the probation violation. Remember that the Winter months are good months to work on your bike - help keep your local wrench-turners and dealers busy plus you don’t lose saddle time. See you on the road,
opefully you all had a Merry Christmas, have recovered from your New Year’s Eve festivities, and did not have any encounters with Johnny Law. As promised, this month’s article will address Pennsylvania’s DUI law as it applies to second and third time offenders. Pennsylvania law “rates” offenders by the level of their BAC (blood alcohol content), which is separated into 3 tiers: Tier 1 is the “lowest” rate and covers BAC’s of .08% to .099%; Tier 2 is called a “high”“ rate and covers BACs of .10% to .159%; and Tier 3 is the “highest” rate and covers BACs of .16% and above. I will limit my discussion to mandatory minimum license suspensions and mandatory minimum periods of imprisonment (and thus will not address any of the many variables that go in to sentencing including but not limited to intermediate punishment sentences, etc.). For second (2nd) time offenders, the following penalties apply: Tier 1 BACs have a minimum sentence of 5 days imprisonment which the Court can extend for up to 6 months plus a one year license suspension followed by a full year of an ignition interlock after your license is restored; Tier 2 BACs have a minimum sentence of 30 days imprisonment which the Court can extend for up to 6 months plus a one year license suspension followed by a full year of an ignition interlock after your license is restored; Tier 3 BACs have a minimum sentence of 90 days imprisonment which the Court can extend for up to 5 years plus 18 months license suspension followed by a full year of an ignition interlock after your license is restored. Northeast riders m/c 2014 toy run december, 7 2014 • philadelphia, Pennsylvania
story ridin’ & pics by Lutz
Those who ride a motorcycle around x-mas time recognize the generosity of motorcyclists and motorcycle organizations and clubs. Without a doubt these riders rise to the occasion to make those less fortunate have at least a bit more cheer this time of year. The members of Northeast riders m/c are just that kind of club! They’ve organized the first toy run in 1985. That’s along time for this event (you do the math!). Also, keeping it at the first place as the original start point at Brian’s Harley Davidson, there’s no doubt and its easy to understand these guys have a lot of heart and are very passionate about this event. Many riders bundled up and came out to support this event as well. There is no cost on this run, additionally donuts are served before the ride, and hot coffee indeed is in order cause this time of year it can be cold and it was! They also ask that you bring a new toy which will be donated to Woods services (that serve people with special needs). Many a bike leave Brian’s Harley-Davidson and do a nice brisk ride through the woods complex to the much enjoyment of those living there. Once the ride is finished there’s an open invite to a free after party at the Tacony Club where the x-mas spirit continues. There was a good vibe at the end party with music, food with a true festive feel, knowing you made the holidays a little nicer making it a great ending to the day.

Rolling Thunder New Jersey Chapter 2
POW MIA Awareness Poker Run
June 21, 2014 • forked river nj
story ridin’ and pics by Lutz
What better weather to take a ride and give some support to a hard working organization like Rolling Thunder Chapter 2 of New Jersey. Their annual poker run is usually a pretty good event and ride to boot. Sign up was at the Knights or Columbus in Lacey, NJ and the route took you through some nice back roads of south Jersey and ended up on the property of the Applebee’s in Forked River, NJ. At the end of the run, there was a BBQ cookout and refreshments to fill your belly and cool your thirst. A live band called “Powder Keg” took care of handling the entertainment end of the event and several vendors were on hand to satisfy that shopping urge. The parking lot was packed with motorcycles, so it looked like I wasn’t the only one with the same idea.

PONDERING?
His thoughts as heavy as the humid night air Searching for an answer to sooth his soul The question that had him pondering life Was how could a man his age feel so old He wondered: Could it have been all the partying? Could hard work have diminished his years? Could it be the fights that put aches in his bones? Could it have been living free of fear? Could it be the nights of sleeping on the ground? Could it be the downtime that he served? Could it have come from trying to please everyone? This included the family he loved Could it be the nights the wind chilled to his bones? Could it be the limp from a road rash scar? Could it just be the gray starting to change his long hair? Could it simply be life’s hassles from destiny’s star? A cool breeze hit him as he rode through the bottom He smiled at the relief from the dense heat The answer was as clear as the moon above No matter the age, being a BIKER is hard to beat © Bob “Bikerwolf” Bryant RSOA ™
She looked me up an down, then with a frown She sniffed haughtily the air. I heard her say, “It would be a nice day, If that scruffy biker were not there!” I sat astride, my shiny Harley ride, and hid the anger behind my smile. As I looked her over, leering like a gypsy rover But with all the flair of biker style. I saw her blink, when I gave her a wink. “The audacity!” she stuttered “You biker dudes, are OH! so rude” “And you are a prude.” under my breath I muttered. Upon her face a stare, as if I should care. “So would you like a ride?” said I. She turned ashen white, really quite a sight. and she stammered, “Why?” The reasons I give, are the way I live. and these are but two that I share. On the road without a care, the wind in my hair. And the thrill could be yours, if only you dare. She smiled just like a child, but I knew she was riled. for she still looked the same she sighed” you rejoiced, when we were divorced.” “what the hell” she whispered “it’s part of the game.”

New jersey elks 12th annual
bikers rally across america for brain injured children
old bridge elks lodge, old bridge nj • saturday april 11th 2015
story ridin’ & pics by Lutz
Once again anyone that doubts the generosity and heart of bikers when it comes to helping out, surely cant be questioned, especially when it comes to a benefit like this. Organizer Ray Cola Fornicola pours his heart and soul into this event, it’s 12th year. Every year it gets bigger and badder! Ray along with many supporters and Elks MC members put on a class A benefit. The event raised $50,000.00 and went to the kids at the Brian Injured Children’s Camp in Sayreville NJ and Camp ROBIN in Old Bridge NJ. That wasn’t out of the question raising that kind of money as the ride prior to the event picked up bikers from several Elks Lodges throughout NJ and at the end there was a reported near 2000 bikes during the day... that’s a lot of chrome!! With that much support for this benefit once inside it wasn’t hard to understand. Many vendors, great food and liquid refreshment on hand it was easy to see why this is a crowd favorite. Live bands kicked out smoking tunes through out the day ,with names like “Death Metalli” and “Rock Haus” you know your ears where gonna’ be happy! Walking around and eyeballing the bikes is one of my favs and I definitely was not disappointed. The field was packed with bikers and when I walked the crowd and constantly running into old friends and making new friends, no one had attitudes and everyone there was to support... good stuff! Next year around April, keep an eye out for this one and hop on that bike and help out a great cause while having fun doing it. Fast Lane Biker
