It’s nice to see the events calender full every month. This month the entire Fastlane Biker family will be out at Lehighton bike night on August the 10th to support our Pennsylvania issue. The Seaboard Chapter of the antique motorcycle club had their swap meet at a new location this year holding it at Eckenhoff Motorcycles of Cherry Hill and with winter ending and spring comin ,an indoor swapmeet was just what the doctor ordered! lots of goodies to checkout from american to metric ,motors, front ends, sheet metal, all at the right price! “accesories” for that well dressed biker could be bought as well! motorcycles inside and out proudly displayed (and photograped..thank you!) if u looked hard enough you could probably find it here,but hell thats half the fun anyway!

Chef FatBoy, Melody & Family Grilled Peppers and Zucchini By: Karen Anderson Ingredients 1 medium green pepper, julienned 1 medium sweet red pepper, julienned 2 medium zucchini, julienned 1 tablespoon butter or margarine 2 teaspoons soy sauce Directions: Place the vegetables on a double layer of heavy-duty foil (about 18 in. x 15 in.). Dot with butter; drizzle with soy sauce. Fold foil around vegetables and seal tightly. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 10-15 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender.
BBQ Beer Brat Kabobs
By: Bob Key Ingredients 1 (19 ounce) package Bob Evans® Beer Bratwurst, cut into 1-inch pieces 1 green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces 1 medium zucchini, cut into 1-inch pieces 1 red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces 1 medium yellow squash, cut into 1-inch pieces 2 cups fresh button mushroom caps 1 medium red onion, cut into 1-inch pieces 2 cups Bob Evans® Wildfire BBQ Sauce 6 (10 inch) wooden skewers Directions: Soak wooden skewers in water 30 minutes. Alternately thread bratwurst and vegetables onto skewers. Grill or broil kabobs 12 to 15 minutes or until brats are

Ingredients 1 1/2 pounds ground beef 1/4 cup beer (such as Sam Adams) 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger whiskey (such as Jack Daniel’s) 2 teaspoons garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 1 teaspoon salt teaspoon ground black pepper Directions: Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat; lightly oil the grate. Combine the ground beef, beer, Worcestershire sauce, whiskey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl; mix until evenly combined. Shape the mixture into 6 patties. Cook on the preheated grill until the burgers are cooked to your desired degree of doneness, 5 to 8 minutes per side for well done. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 160 degrees F.
Citrus-Ginger Tuna Steaks By: Fran Roff Ingredients 1/2 cup olive oil 1/4 cup white wine vinegar 2 tablespoons soy sauce 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 tablespoon lime juice 2 garlic cloves, minced 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger root 2 (8 ounce) tuna steaks Directions: In a bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Pour 1/2 cup marinade into a large re-sealable plastic bag; add tuna steaks. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 2-4 hours. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade. Drain and discard marinade from tuna. Coat grill rack with nonstick cooking spray before starting grill. Grill tuna, uncovered, for 5-7 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Serve with the reserved marinade.
Melody’s Sweet Summer Berry Dessert 1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed 1 (5 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk 2 cups fresh blueberries 2 cups chopped fresh strawberries 2 cups fresh raspberries fresh mint leaves for garnish Directions: In a bowl, mix the frozen whipped toping and sweetened condensed milk. Gently fold in 1 3/4 cup blueberries, 1 3/4 cup strawberries, and 1 3/4 cup raspberries. Top with remaining blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries. Garnish with mint, and chill until ready to serve.

B
ree loves to be in front of the camera, but her favorite is shooting outdoor scenes, especially around motorcycles. Bree has also been a featured ring girl at the local MMA fights at Sands Casino in Bethlehem. She admits being around anything rough and tough is exciting for her. So we put her in her element and added some soap and water to spice it up even a little more. We are pretty sure you would let her wash your bike too.

With all the devistation that hurricane sandy left behind many organizations are out in full force to try to help those affected and Jersey bikers naturally wanted to help too. A motorcycle run was organized to do just that “roar to restore the shore” was put together to raise funds to benefit victims of hurricane sandy. starting at the american legion in keyport nj, motorcyclists gathered to attend and support this event. Well over 1000+ bikes (police escorted) road the parkway and through several of the jersey shores hardest hit towns to the end destination at the vfw in bricktown nj. At the ending stop there where many food vendors,local bussiness’s ,live music, a silent auction,all combined to help the sucess of this event. In the end I heard there was close to $35,000 raised for the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund. now thats a great feelin!

This is absolutely not the case. Not only are you not required to give a statement with regard to how the accident occurred, you are in no way bound to give a recorded statement. This also goes for any and all requests made to give a statement by the other individual’s insurance company. These recorded statements rarely do anything but help the insurance companies look for ways to deny claims. If you feel compelled to report the accident to your own insurance company you should keep the facts to a minimum and insist that it not be recorded. Any request by the other parties insurance company should be limited to the location of your motorcycle until after you have spoken to an attorney. I know I have written on this subject before however, I am continually surprised by how often client’s are giving recorded statements to the insurance companies which then come back to haunt them at a later time. Finally, be careful out there. I believe I have seen an increase in serious motorcycle accidents this season. Most of which are being caused by drivers simply pulling out from stop signs or making left turns right in front of my clients. Never assume that they see you coming. Always slow down at these intersections and keep your eyes on the car itself and be prepared to take evasive action at a moments notice. I have recently been retained to represent several clients who were operating sport bikes when their accident occurred. In each of these cases the speed of my clients has become a factor as there have either been witnesses or some physical evidence leading to the allegations of excessive speed being made against my clients. In most of these cases the accidents have taken place on smaller streets where the posted speed limit tends to be lower than on rural roads or the highways. Although many of these areas are sparsely populated, the speed limits remains low, however, the temptation to drive over the speed limit is high. In each case the other vehicle had either a stop sign or was pulling out from a driveway and clearly has the majority of fault. However, if there is evidence of speeding on the operator of the motorcycle, it gives the defendants an argument that there was some contributory negligence on the motorcyclist. This argument does not carry as much weight when my client is operating a “touring” style motorcycle however when operating sport bikes, whether the allegation of speed is true or not, it is much easier for the opposing counsel to argue that speed is a factor, given that most of these bikes look fast even when they are standing still. The point that I am trying to make is although the vehicle exiting a driveway or pulling away from a stop sign has the duty to make sure it is clear and safe to proceed, if excessive speed is evidenced by either witness testimony or unusually long skid marks it gives the other side an argument against accepting full responsibility for the claim. On a separate note, please remember that after an accident occurs, you should not give a recorded statement to any insurance company. I am still seeing client’s come to me after they have given recorded statements over the telephone. Many
