ello everyone, October is here again and we hope a lot of you are gearing up for the Daytona Biketoberfest . The Month of September has a lot of big events, Delmarva Bike Week and the Hog Rally at Seaside which we heard was a huge success after speaking to Lutz. The event this issue is dedicated to is by far the biggest, most successful event in the state, the Cape Classics Roar to the Shore. This event draws well over a hundred thousand bikes from all over the country over a period of four to five days. That’s why we have dedicated the pics from this entire issue to this great event. We allowed Lutz, our photographer to roam the streets of Wildwood, snapping picture after picture of people, vendors and bikes. Although, we could have used about ninety-nine percent of the nine hundred photos he submitted, we only had room for so many...

ASK THE ATTORNEY BY: LEE D. GABER, ESQUIRE 1-888-CYCLE-LAW • LeeGaber@cycleattorney.com • www.cycleattorney.com For those of you who have met me at both Pennsylvania and New Jersey motorcycle events, you know that I am always trying to come up with unique ways to advertise the fact that my firm focuses its practice on handling PA and NJ motorcycle accidents. As I think back over the years and to the items we have handed out advertising our specialty as one of Pennsylvania’s only law firms that focuses its practice on motorcycle accidents, I am reminded as to how long we have been advertising this way as I remember the key-chain pocket knives we used to hand out prior to September 11, 2001. More recently we started giving away “chip-clips” in black and orange with our name, e-mail and phone number on them to remind everybody that if you, or someone you know, are involved in a motorcycle accident in either PA or NJ all you have to do is open up your snack drawer or pantry and look for our contact information. As most of you are aware, we do not charge anything for a motorcycle accident consultation unless we are successful in obtaining a recovery for pain and suffering caused by a motorcycle accident. Just to be clear, we do not charge for mail, making or taking telephone calls, photocopies, faxing, storage fees or many of the other “junk” fees that most other attorneys charge when they distribute your settlement. By the way,

FA S T L A N E B I K E R

most of these charges are taken out of your share of the settlement quite often leaving the client with less money than the attorney, and you are the one who hired the motorcycle accident attorney in the first place! An additional item we added this year were customized nail files, which are imprinted on both sides with our phone number, website and e-mail, to again make it as easy as possible for any of you to contact us should you be involved in a motorcycle accident. As we begin to think about what we should order for next years events, I am writing this article to ask those of you who read my article on a regular basis, to contact us via our FaceBook page, Lee D. Gaber - The Cycle Attorney, and give us your suggestions as to the types of items you would like as a give-a-away during next years shows. In addition to the advertising materials, if you have any suggestions for topics you would like me address, please feel free to comment on that as well. As always, if upon reading this material you have any questions regarding this topic or any others, please feel free to contact me at LeeGaber@cycleattorney.com or 1-888-CYCLE-LAW (1-888-292-5352).

FA S T L A N E B I K E R

Directions: Combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, and pepper in a large bowl; mix well. Form 8, thin patties from the beef. Each patty should be slightly larger than a slice of cheese. Cut each slice of American cheese into 4 equal pieces; stack the pieces. Sandwich one stack of cheese between 2 ground beef patties. Tightly pinch edges together tightly seal the cheese within the meat. Repeat with the remaining cheese and patties. Preheat a cast-iron or other heavy bottomed skillet over medium heat. Cook burgers until well browned, about 4 minutes. It is common for burgers to puff up due to steam from the melting cheese. Turn burgers and prick the top of each to allow steam to escape; cook until browned on the outside and no longer pink on the inside; about 4 minutes. Serve on hamburger buns. RHUBARB SOUR CREAM PIE By: S. HODGE, NJ. Ingredients 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust 4 cups chopped fresh rhubarb 1 egg 1 1/2 cups white sugar 1 cup sour cream 1/3 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup butter, melted cheese Directions: Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Press the pie crust into a 9 inch pie pan. Spread rhubarb in an even layer in the bottom of the crust. In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg, white sugar, sour cream and 1/3 cup of flour until smooth. Pour over the rhubarb. In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of flour and brown sugar. Stir in melted butter until the mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over the top of the pie. Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven, then reduce the heat to 350 degrees F. Continue to bake for 40 minutes, or until the edges have puffed, and the topping is golden. The center may still be slightly jiggly. Cool completely before slicing and serving.

BEER BRATS By: Zachsevo, NJ. Ingredients 4 (12 ounce) cans beer 1 large onion, diced 10 bratwurst 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper Directions: Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat. When hot, lightly oil grate. Combine the beer and onions in a large pot; bring to a boil. Submerge the bratwurst in the beer; add the red pepper flakes, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat to medium and cook another 10 to 12 minutes. Remove the bratwurst from the beer mixture; reduce heat to low, and continue cooking the onions. Cook the bratwurst on the preheated grill, turning once, 5 to 10 minutes. Serve with the beer mixture as a topping or side. CARROT SPICE AND WALNUT PIE By: DJKD, NJ. Blend until smooth. Pour mixture into a large bowl. In a separate bowl combine brown sugar and white sugar, mixing well to get all lumps out. Fold sugar mixture gradually

NEWS RELEASE

ROCK STARS, FASHIONISTAS AND JUST PLAIN FOLKS LOVE KING BABY JEWELRY. EXCLUSIVELY AT AIRES JEWELERS!

FA S T L A N E B I K E R

The hottest look, sizzling hot is King Baby Jewelry. Mitchell Binder, designer and owner of King Baby Studio was a mere teenager when he and his mother moved to Los Angeles. At 15, Binder was a jeweler’s apprentice and shortly after designing his own look he became jewelry designer to the Hollywood elite and the rock stars, including rock and rollers too extensive to mention. Then the “biker crowd” took a huge interest in fellow biker, Binder, and wanted personalized jewelry and buckles that reflected their edginess and ‘outsider’ perspective. Santa Monica is home base to King Baby Studio, but Morris Plains is like a second home for this “jewelry with attitude”. Aires Jewelers in Morris Plains, NJ, renowned for its custom manufacturing and powerful brand collections is one of the few locations on the east coast where you can find it. Chris Arends of Aires Jewelers admits that King Baby isn’t for everyone, but there isn’t anyone who isn’t moved by the radical, beautiful style of this unordinary jewelry.
