M
ay is upon us and we have so much in store, from the 2nd bike night at the Tack Room Bar to the 1st bike night with Trashed M.C. at Mer’s Pub on May 12th. May also brings us Rally at the Rock 3! So book your room now as they are going quick! Come show your support for Street Smart Cycles and help bring the trophy to NY! We have Demo days at Locomotion Powersports and street fairs at New Roc Harley Davidson. Fast Lane Biker Delmarva is taking off like a rocket and we couldn’t be happier. Fast Lane Biker is now the biggest motorcycle magazine on the east coast. Remember, if you don’t see your local motorcycle dealership, builder or Harley shop’s ad in our magazine request that they support your favorite biker magazine in New York, the magazine that supports you and is the people’s choice every year. And, since it's Spring, don’t forget to check out the Bad Pig Saloon and Broadway Choppers bike nights every Friday night starting in May. This summer when you see yourself in our magazine call Lamination Preservation to have the moment framed and mounted for one heck of a deal, as they’re our exclusive framers for our magazine. Thanks so much for all of your support and help us help our advertisers by telling them that Fast Lane Biker NY sent you. We are now doing our first bike night with Lamination Preservation in Albany at Chico’s BBQ and Restaurant 2490 Western Ave, Guilderland. This will be the biggest thing to hit Albany in years. We’ll have music, food, raffles, 50/50, a featured bike builder each month, and give-a- ways. Look inside at the ad for more details. It will be the 4th Wednesday of each month, sponsored by Modern Welding School and JJ’s Cycles.
New York’s Biggest, Best, Baddest Motorcycle Magazine!! Until Next month, keep your Knees in the breeze!

His wife’s graveside service was just barely finished, when there was a massive clap of thunder, followed by a tremendous bolt of lightning, accompanied by even more thunder rumbling in the distance. The little, old man looked at the pastor and calmly said, ‘Well, she’s there. ~~~~~~~~ A nun, badly needing to use the restroom, walked into a local Hooters. The place was hopping with music and loud conversation and every once in a while ‘the lights would turn off.’ Each time the lights would go out, the place would erupt into cheers. However, when the revelers saw the nun, the room went dead silent. She walked up to the bartender, and asked, ‘May I please use the restroom? The bartender replied, ‘OK, but I should warn you that there is a statue of a naked man in there wearing only a fig leaf.’ ‘Well, in that case, I’ll just look the other way,’ said the nun. So the bartender showed the nun to the back of the restaurant. After a few minutes, she came back out, and the whole place stopped just long enough to give the nun a loud round of applause. She went to the bartender and said, ‘Sir, I don’t understand. Why did they applaud for me just because I went to the restroom?’ ‘Well, now they know you’re one of us,’ said the bartender, ‘Would you like a drink?’ ‘No thank you, but, I still don’t understand,’ said the puzzled nun. ‘You see,’ laughed the bartender, ‘every time someone lifts the fig leaf on that statue, the lights go out. Now, how about that drink?’ ~~~~~~~~ I was walking past the mental hospital the other day and all the patients were shouting, 13....13...13!!! The fence was too high to see over, but there was a little gap in the planks - so I looked through to see what was going on... Somebody poked me in the eye with a stick... and then they all started shouting 14.....14....14!!! 4

TRASHED MC’s 5th ANNIVERSARY PARTY Photography By: Joe Parisi from “KEEP GOD FIRST M.C.”
Hundreds of motorcycles descended on Coney Island, NY to mark this great occasion, the Trashed M.C. 5th Anniversary Party. Just about all of NY came out to celebrate with them. They had metal bands, endless miles of great food, vendors and much more. Once again we are shown that nobody throws a party like Trashed M.C. It was good to see so many friends catching up, riding there scoots on such a great night and enjoying them selves. The guys from the Trashed M.C are some of the nicest guys you’re ever going to meet. They are true stand-up people, always willing to lend a hand or help a fellow biker, and always involved with charity work. They talk the talk and walk the walk. Anywhere I go, no matter Lake George, Buffalo, or Maryland, I all ways bump into a Trashed M.C member. Sometimes it seems impossible that they can be in so many places at once. That goes to show you they live life and don’t watch it go by from the couch. I’m going to give you the website after this article, and between Fast Lane Biker which lists their event and their website, you have no excuse to miss an event they’re involved with or throw, unless you hate to have a great time. www.trashedmc.com **On a side note, Fast Lane Biker NY and Trashed MC will have their first bike night May 12th at Mer’s Pub in Farmingdale, NY on Rt.109. It will be the 2nd Wednesday of the month each month till October - November.

BOWLING THUNDER IN OLD FORGE 2010 by: Debbie Landers
The whole Landers family met up with our friends of ABATE for what ended up to be one of the most fun events that we have had!!! We showed up at Strike and Spare Bowling Lanes in Mattydale. We all signed in and got 4 members to a team and for a whole 10 dollars the fun began. I don’t think I have ever laughed so much and felt so at ease. There were some seasoned bowlers (we had one on our team named Max) and those of us who do this kind of thing once a year. We were thinking that this was a great way to beat the winter blues, get moving, and laugh with each other. Bikers bowling with their balls in a bag, yep we had fun!!(JT I win)

MONDO’S BENEFIT THE LOCKER ROOM
March 21st, 2010 . By: Debbie Landers A benefit was held on March 21st for Charlie Shatraw (Mondo) at The Locker Room. It was a brisk, sunny day with a hint of sadness in the crowd. The turnout and donations were many and Kathy deserves a shout out for really knowing how to get people to participate. Food was in abundance and we’d like to give a big thanks to Joe for his pies which were all home made by Joe himself! We saw many friends, one of who walked away with a new leather jacket. It made Kathy’s day to win it. Cousin Jake never disappoints the crowd doing what they do best.

FAST LANE BIKER ‘BIKE NIGHT’ at the TACK ROOM BAR . Bethpage, NY Sponsored by Big Boar Cycles (516) 433-9004 and ReNU Powder Coating (631) 249-7368 April 1st, 2010 . Pictures by G.W.S. WHAT IS THE CURE FOR CABIN FEVER? Fast Lane Biker Bike Night at the Tack Room! Now that’s the way to kick off the 2010 riding season. It seemed like everyone that rides a motorcycle came out to shake off them winter blues. There were some new faces, some familiar faces, and even some faces that have not been around for awhile. My old friend and fellow writer, redneck, even made an appearance. John C. from Special Events Cigars was set up, hand rolling some nice cigars, and Rich Feldman from Ignition Nation.com handed out some cool posters. Kim and Marie hustled all night behind the bar keeping everyone’s cups full. Awsome job ladies! (As always). And once again, Kim’s homemade food was a winner. The music? Sea Monster of course and well, what can I say that I haven’t already said a thousand times? Wow! Andy from Sovereign Brotherhood M.C. got ‘Best Paint’ for his snaked out softail. ‘Best Chrome’ went to Murph from Trashed M.C., on his sweet ‘84 wideglide. Kevin, hands down, won ‘Best Custom’ with his slammed and raked street glide. And ‘Best Overall’ was awarded to Mike and his beautiful ‘71 fl shovel. Remember, the beginning of the riding season is the time to service and tune up your ride. Big Boar Cycles is now running some great spring specials. So come on in, say hello to the boys, and get your ride in shape. Thank you to the whole riding community for making the Tack Room Bike Night the best on Long Island. Ride safe. FTW . Big Boar Cycles

STREET SMART CYCLES Wildcat PJ & Charlie, of Street Smart Cycles, have been building wild bikes together for about 18 years. This one was PJ’s dream bike and together they made it happen. It took about a year between working on other customers’ rides but the result is what you see. Check out the Wildcat car emblem from his grandfather’s car and the solid brass dice from his grandmother’s Atlantic City trips, since they have both passed on PJ wanted to incorporate these mementos on the bike in there memory. This bike includes all of the typical Street Smart Goodies such as: The side mounted battery box, chain fork stops, cut down early sporty front end (made to fit big twin neck), and custom ‘long’ fish tail exhaust. The result is a show winning 93ci tire fryer that is an everyday rider and handles like a sporty. Look for it on the streets of Long Island and catch it if you can!

NEW PRODUCTS FROM HARLEY-DAVIDSON®
NEW WIND SPLITTER WINDSHIELD The Perfect Combination of Effective Air Flow Management and Distinctive Styling
The new Wind Splitter Windshield (P/N 57164-10, $159.95) from Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories is shaped for the perfect combination of effective air flow management and distinctive styling. This seven-inch-tall windshield is higher in the center than traditional low-profile wind deflectors, and is shaped to move more air over and around the rider. Its sweeping design complements the fairing and the inner dash panel, while the smoked finish looks great against any paint color. A center-mounted Bar & Shield medallion adds a distinctive finishing touch. The Wind Splitter fits 1996-later Electra Glide®, Street Glide® and Trike models. It does not fit with zumo 550 GPS Navigator, or with windshield bags or pouches. A similar Wind Splitter Windshield (P/N 57116-10, $159.95) is also available for 1998-later Road Glide models. COLOR-MATCHED STRETCHED SADDLEBAG BOTTOMS Give Your Touring Model a ‘Slammed’ Look... The new Color-Matched Stretched Saddlebag Bottoms (P/N 92003-10, $1,299.95 color-matched, $1,099.95 primed) from Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories give Harley-Davidson Touring models with hard bags a ‘slammed’ look without compromising the suspension travel and ride height. These Stretched Saddlebag Bottoms wrap around the exhaust to add visual length and storage capacity, and conceal the muffler bracket and hanger. They are manufactured of the same materials as the latest originalequipment saddlebags for a glass-smooth painted surface, and are available primed or factory-finished to match an original-equipment, single-color painted finish. Simply attach the pre-drilled Stretched Saddlebag Bottoms to the original saddlebag lids with the included hardware, and install on the bike like the original bags. Color-Matched Stretched Saddlebag Bottoms fit 1993-later Touring models equipped with color-matched hard saddlebags.

CHOPPED REAR FENDER KIT - DYNA MODELS Complete ‘Bolt-On’ Chopped Fender Kit
Owners of most 2006-later Harley-Davidson Dyna® models can achieve the hot bobber look with the installation of three new items from Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories that are easy to install with no cutting, welding, or fabrication necessary. The new Chopped Rear Fender Kit - Dyna® Models (P/N 59860-10BEO Primed, $349.95; P/N 59860-10DH Vivid Black, $449.95) is a complete ‘bolt-on’ chopped fender kit. The chopped fender eliminates the traditional tail lamp and center-mount license plate, replaces the original equipment rear turn signals with the included stop-turn-tail lights for a clean, stripped-down appearance. Installation requires the separate purchase of the new Side Mount License Plate Kit (P/N 60938-10, $194.95), finished in brilliant chrome, with a durable steel mounting bracket that incorporates license plate illumination. Complete the bobber transformation with the new Solo Spring Saddle Black Leather (P/N 54373-10, $269.95), a 10.5-inch-wide solo seat with the minimalistic ‘just enough to ride’ look. The torsion-style springs are designed for the optimal balance between spring suspension and support. The smooth metal seat pan and the simple frame cover leave a clean, finished appearance. The seat can be removed and replaced with a touring seat for a two-up riding. Installation requires separate purchase of Spring Seat Mounting Hardware Kit (P/N 54075-10, $229.95), sold separately.

We May Agree To Disagree Here My Favorite all Time Biker Band Is AC DC
AC/DC is an Australian rock band. Formed in 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. You may know them as hard rockers, or the pioneers of heavy metal. They themselves have labeled their music as good old rock n’ roll. High Voltage, in 1975 was released after undergoing several lineup changes. Membership was good and a perfect match was made until their change in 1977. Their bassist was changed from Mark Evans to Cliff Williams. In 1979, the band recorded my all-time favorite Highway To Hell. Hell was the number one biker theme song for years to come. With the death of lead singer and co-writer Bon Scott in 1980. AC/DC was going to hang it up. Along came Brian Johnson. DANG! I’m so glad he did! Back In Black and all that we know today. A true biker’s band for sure! What is that you say? Steppenwolf! Steppenwolf. A Canadian rock Band of Heavy Metal Sounds and Grooves. In the late 1960’s the band Steppenwolf was formed in 1967 in Los Angeles by vocalist John Kay, and guitarist Michael Monarch. Bassist is Rushton Moreve, keyboardist Goldy McJohn, and drummer Jerry Edmonton. “Born to Be Wild” was the first ‘heavy metal’ song heard in rock music. ‘”Magic Carpet Ride” and “Rock Me” allowed Steppenwolf to enjoy worldwide success from 1968 to 1974, but clashing personalities led to the end of the core lineup. Today, front man John Kay is the only original member left, having served as lead singer for almost all of the 40 years since 1967. Is that the end of Steppenwolf? If so we all lose. How many of you after a long hard ride laid back and sucked it all in?
day.
Today I Bring You Distorted Voices, a heavy metal band with a twist all their own making, born out of the master mind of Tom Martini. This band is heavy metal with a shear twist, a raspier voice with a sexual overtone. Distorted Voices Are In Your Head. Darin Boby on vocals. Drew Mollica Bassist. Nick Bacino is the Newest Addition and Master Drummer. Scream has an extreme powerful touch to what we want to do every

SPOT LIGHT ON OUR READER... ‘JONI ZIMMER’ By: Debbie Landers
Zimmer started bartending at The Wolf Inn in 1987 and has been serving the local biker community ever since. In 2000 she started at The Loop Grill. Much to everyone’s surprise she mentioned last summer she had never been on a bike!!! Well Smiley had the cure for that and out they went. Joni, a lively 69 year old sat on Smiley’s bike with him. The next day she not only sat on the bike, she rode on the bike. Trucker to the rescue! They put their helmets on and off they went!! The moral of the story is at 69 Joni finally became a real rider. It’s never too late to put on a helmet and enjoy the wind in your face and the freedom of the road.

MIRACLE MILE HARLEY-DAVIDSON PIG ROAST 210 Northern Blvd, Great Neck, NY By: Dennis Lalena
On April 3, 2010 Chapter 1998 which has been in existence since 2006, had its first Pig Roast to mark the opening of the riding season. The gathering began with 16 chapter members meeting and riding into Queens County for a bike blessing. While this was enduring, a 40 pound pig from a local poultry, pork facility, had been slowly cooking for approximately12 hours. The pig was delivered shortly before the chapter returned to the dealership, only to be quickly carved by our own skilled craftsman and feed approximately 60 people. During the morning and afternoon hours, chapters from other boroughs came by only to shop in the store and to their astonishment were surprised to see the new array of clothing styles which stocked the shelves in the store. The employees of Miracle Mile Harley-Davidson are courteous and treat all patrons with respect “only to go the extra mile “to help the customer should they have any questions. This is another reason why Miracle Mile Harley Davidson treats its customers with respect and dignity Throughout the afternoon, music was supplied by a fellow chapter member, DJ Andrea, with enjoyable music while people enjoyed the cooked pig and other garnishing. Trophies were given out by the Chapter’s Director and Assistant Director to the owners of bikes for best paint, best show and best custom. Individual photographs were taken, printed and framed on site, by the chapter’s photographer, with donations going to the chapter. Miracle Mile Harley-Davidson and its Chapter is truly the destination dealer where everyone can feel right at home.
