FASTL ANE

BIKER New Jersey

M

ay is here and it’s time for Rally at the Rock on May 21st through the 23rd at Split Rock Resort in the Pocono Mountains! This year promises to be even better than last year and this year Split Rock is giving us a room rate of $114 for anyone who wants to come and spend the weekend! At this Resort? That’s an awesome deal! Of course, rooms are almost sold out so, if you want to get a room in the resort during the Rally, you’d better move fast. Last month we welcomed another member to the FASTLANEBIKER family... FASTLANEBIKER Delmarva. Also, we added something else new last month... All FASTLANEBIKER magazines are now full color gloss! We’re making lots of changes as we expand into other states and are able to print in volume. What this means to you, our reader, is that we can give you a higher quality magazine while at the same time for our advertisers, keeping it just as affordable to advertise with FASTLANEBIKER. By adding more advertisers with our competitive pricing and unmatched quality and service, we can once again add more pages of content and bring you the best magazine possible. Surviving as well as growing in a lack luster economy was our goal and we made it happen where others only can answer with... Print is dead, buy ads on my web site... We won’t do that and we’re going to post our magazine online without a clubhouse or any porn links like others do. These people would love you to think that’s the answer but only because it solves a lot of their problems. It doesn’t do anything for you the reader or the advertiser.

I’m from a time when MTV was King and I remember the first video ever played. For a while everyone who made a song had to have a video on MTV which had made it’s debute and changed a lot of things for a while. If you don’t remember this, ask your parents or your children whatever your age. I’ve heard it said lately... We got so many hits we got shut down! Yes, ok... It’s called bandwidth, obviously in this department, size does matter Is or should I say, lack thereof. our goal now an unfair advantage you ask? My answer is no, it’s called doing business. We’re also not going to force is you to believe that print dead just because our competitor, for lack of a better reason, can no longer afford to print a magazine.

BIKE WEEK IN MAZATLAN MEXICAN When it became clear that we really would be attending and filming Semana Internacional De La Moto event I must admit we were excited, intrigued and a little apprehensive. Most of you have probably heard about the drug related violence that dominates the headlines south of the border so there were some concerns. When we arrived at the Mazatlan airport, with our crew and Michele Smith, we were met by an armed contingency with automatic weapons. However from that point forward we moved freely throughout the city without security and encountered no problems whatsoever. The event was obviously fully supported by both the citizens and the government. We went on a beautiful ride along the Pacific Ocean where we got a real flavor for the history of the city while we stopped and visited seaside vendors, cliff divers and saw statues of prominent Mazatlan icons. We ate and ate at the ‘The Shrimp Factory’ a local restaurant that catches the food in the morning and serves it that day, how do I know, simple they have no food refrigerators! The governor was kind enough to let us use his helicopter to film the city as well as the Mardi Gras type bike parade which featured everything on wheels, including dirt bike quads and sport bikes as well as a ton of Harleys. The bike show winner featured a chopper with Strip Club Choppers Wheels what are the odds REALLY, this was a great experience and we were treated like kings. If you ever get the chance check out Semana Internacional De La Moto , here is the web site. http://www.semanainternacionaldelamoto.com/english/index.html. Visit us this month in Panama City, Myrtle Beach and Rally at the Rock 3 in the Pocono’s.

This indoor and outdoor event is being held at Split Rock Resort in Lake Harmony in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. After a record turnout last year, we felt it was time to take this show to the next level and added another state to the Build-Off. The state of Maryland, on behalf of the newest member of our FASTLANEBIKER family - Fast Lane Biker Delmarva, has chosen Savage Cycles out of Frostburg to represent them in this years’ Showdown at the Rock 4 State Biker Build-Off. Each of our four magazines have selected one builder from their own state to represent them in the build-off. Representing New Jersey is Black Label Choppers, from Pennsylvania is Penn Jersey Custom Cycle, in New York is Street Smart Cycles, and representing Delamarva is Savage Cycles.

We are also planning a few other day and night rides just to keep it interesting! One night ride will be a group ride to a local casino. The other night group ride called ‘The Thrill Ride’ will be to a VIP party at the Poconos’ newest gentlemen’s club. Split Rock Resort has a special discount room rate package set up and if you’re looking to come to Rally at the Rock 3 but would prefer to stay off-site but not too far away, we are also working with The Mountain Laurel Resort just outside Split Rock for those who want an atmosphere that’s a little more upscale and private, there are codes that can be found on our website (www.fastlanebikershows.com) and we will also be adding links for house and condo rentals that are located right inside the resort itself as well as campgrounds, too. We will also put up some other lodging links once Split Rock sells out. So, get your rooms now for Rally at the Rock 3! For more info and updates visit our website located at www.fastlanebikershows.com and for vendor or show information you can also contact Mark at 973-6636377.

The judging consists of three categories with each accounting for thirty three percent (33%) of the total score. The first catagory will be ‘peoples choice’ with everyone who comes through the door receiving a ticket to put in the voting box in front of their favorite bike. The second will be a three man pro-builder panel consisting of judges Doug Keim of Creative Cycles, Vince Doll of Redneck Engineering, and Matt Elzey of CTM Customs which will also be thirty three percent of the total score. The next three man panel will be made up of last year’s build-off contestants Jerry Tully, Pat Briggs and Scott Avery this will account for the final thirty three percent of the judging. We have also added to the already long list of feature bike builders attending this year... Doug Keim of Creative Cycles from Wall Township in New Jersey and returning from last year to FASTLANEBIKER Rally at the Rock 2, Vince (Nobody) Doll of Redneck Engineering from Liberty, South Carlolina along with Matt Elzey of CTM Customs from Easton, Maryland. These guys are just couple of the builders who are returning and even more are adding their names to an already growing list of local and national builders. Also returning from the last Rally at The Rock are the Krazy White Boys Motorcycle Stunt Riders who will be with us all weekend long keeping everybody entertained. New for this year is the HCMX High Flying Hardcore Motorcross Jump Team who will alternate show times with the Krazy White Boys. We’re making sure we keep the crowd entertained at all times. So, if your out to shop the already long and growing list of vendors, coming to see the build-off bikes, coming to meet some of our pro-builders or coming out to watch the Krazy Whit Boys and Motorcross Jump Team... Tthere is definately something here for everyone.

NEW PRODUCTS FROM HARLEY-DAVIDSON®

NEW WIND SPLITTER WINDSHIELD The Perfect Combination of Effective Air Flow Management and Distinctive Styling

The new Wind Splitter Windshield (P/N 57164-10, $159.95) from Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories is shaped for the perfect combination of effective air flow management and distinctive styling. This seven-inch-tall windshield is higher in the center than traditional low-profile wind deflectors, and is shaped to move more air over and around the rider. Its sweeping design complements the fairing and the inner dash panel, while the smoked finish looks great against any paint color. A center-mounted Bar & Shield medallion adds a distinctive finishing touch. The Wind Splitter fits 1996-later Electra Glide®, Street Glide® and Trike models. It does not fit with zumo 550 GPS Navigator, or with windshield bags or pouches. A similar Wind Splitter Windshield (P/N 57116-10, $159.95) is also available for 1998-later Road Glide models. COLOR-MATCHED STRETCHED SADDLEBAG BOTTOMS Give Your Touring Model a ‘Slammed’ Look... The new Color-Matched Stretched Saddlebag Bottoms (P/N 92003-10, $1,299.95 color-matched, $1,099.95 primed) from Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories give Harley-Davidson Touring models with hard bags a ‘slammed’ look without compromising the suspension travel and ride height. These Stretched Saddlebag Bottoms wrap around the exhaust to add visual length and storage capacity, and conceal the muffler bracket and hanger. They are manufactured of the same materials as the latest original-equipment saddlebags for a glass-smooth painted surface, and are available primed or factory-finished to match an original-equipment, single-color painted finish. Simply attach the pre-drilled Stretched Saddlebag Bottoms to the original saddlebag lids with the included hardware, and install on the bike like the original bags. Color-Matched Stretched Saddlebag Bottoms fit 1993-later Touring models equipped with color-matched hard saddlebags. BA R B’S CAMDEN C O U N T Y HARLEY-DAVIDSON 926 Black Horse Pike W. HARLEY-DAVIDSON REPORTS FIRST QUARTER 2010 RESULTS Company Generates Earnings Per Share of $0.29 from Continuing Operations

Retail Harley-Davidson® Motorcycle Sales Decline Moderates

During the first quarter of 2010, worldwide dealer retail sales of new HarleyDavidson motorcycles decreased 18.2 percent compared to the prior-year quarter. In the U.S., retail sales of new Harley-Davidson motorcycles declined 24.3 percent for the quarter and industry-wide heavyweight motorcycle (651cc-plus) retail unit sales declined 21.4 percent.

MILWAUKEE, April 20, 2010 -- Harley-Davidson, Inc. (NYSE: HOG) reported first-quarter 2010 income from continuing operations of $68.7 million, or $0.29 per share. First quarter earnings included operating income from Financial Services of $26.7 million, marking a return to profitability for the Company’s Harley-Davidson Financial Services (HDFS) subsidiary. Revenue from Motorcycles and Related Products was $1.04 billion in the first quarter.

International retail sales of new Harley-Davidson motorcycles decreased 2.8 percent during the quarter, compared to the year-ago period, after double-digit declines in each of the prior four quarters. In the first quarter of 2010, the Europe region was up 1.2 percent, Canada was up 1.5 percent, the Asia Pacific region was down 9.8 percent and the Latin America region was down 7.8 percent, compared to the year-ago period.

Worldwide retail sales of new Harley-Davidson® motorcycles declined 18.2 percent in the quarter compared to the first quarter of 2009, an improvement in the rate of decline from the prior three quarters. In the U.S., retail Harley-Davidson motorcycle sales were down 24.3 percent and in international markets, retail sales declined 2.8 percent, compared to last year’s first quarter.

Guidance

Harley-Davidson Financial Services Returns to Profitability

The Company reiterated its expectation to ship 201,000 to 212,000 Harley-Davidson motorcycles to dealers and distributors worldwide in 2010, a reduction of five to ten percent from 2009. In the second quarter of 2010, the Company expects to ship 55,000 to 60,000 Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The Company continues to expect gross margin to be between 32.0 percent and 33.5 percent for the full year. The Company also continues to expect full-year capital expenditures of between $235 million and $255 million, including $95 million to $110 million to support restructuring activities.

“We are encouraged by our progress in the first quarter,” said Keith Wandell, President and Chief Executive Officer of Harley-Davidson, Inc. “We are seeing directional improvement in our dealers’ retail motorcycle sales as we enter the key selling season. At the same time, given the global economic uncertainty that still exists, we believe conditions will remain challenging throughout this year, and we will continue to factor that into how we manage the business.

Financial Services Segment First-quarter operating income from Financial Services was $26.7 million, an increase of $15.5 million compared to the year-ago quarter. The return to profitability for HDFS after three consecutive quarters of operating losses was primarily driven by improved credit performance in the retail motorcycle loan portfolio and by a lower cost of funds.

“Our entire team is moving with great purpose and speed as we implement our go-forward business strategy, with its focus on global growth through market and demographic outreach, commitment to core customers, and developing motorcycles that inspire and fulfill dreams.
