ow! September is finally over and what a month it has been. Labor Day, Wildwood, Ocean City, then Seaside. We have been home about six days in total this month and are just sitting down now to get the magazine to deadline by midnight. But this is the way with October’s issue, this isn’t any different than any other October issue. Just one more event and a million brain cells later...

PUBLISHER Mark Ruzicka
We don’t really remember what went down except that we had a great time in Wildwood. Returning this year to Wildwood (Thank God) is Lutz, our photographer since day one! Lutz has been a staple in what makes this magazine work since day one. He had work and family issues last year and could not make it down and it really showed in the last October’s issue. Not to take anything away from anyone but you can take Michell Lichter, Tom Zimeroff, Rouge and a hundred of the top names that have all done work for us over the past ten years. We feel pretty good when we get a thousand pictures and we can use every one of them. So, with that being said, everyone just looks at the pictures and doesn’t read anything... I say this issue is for you.

THE STRIP CLUB CHOPPERS ROADHOUSE... ... has been on the road and attending rallies every weekend since Sturgis. All of them have been uniquely different yet all share a common bond. The events include the Porcupine Bash in upper Michigan, the Summertime Bikes and Blues Festival in Freeport Texas, The Texas rally in Somerville Texas and the Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest in Missouri. The Porcupine Bash started as a party to celebrate an anniversary for the Porcupine Press, a monthly magazine, but morphed into a three-day event with proceeds benefiting the local veterans home. The amount of work the captain and his staff put in to this rally was only exceeded by the pleasure the veterans expressed while attending the event. They even were treated everyone to a concert by my friend blues guitarist Dan Lawson. The Freeport event included a bike raffle featuring an Amen motorcycle by bike building legend Mike Brown. I was fortunate to meet Mike, a man whose creations I have admired for years, I hope to see him at future events. This rally also featured great blues music and BBQ and was extremely well organized. The Texas rally was an adult rally on beautiful lake Somerville put on by Damon Dave with topnotch entertainment. The event featured girls from the Penthouse Club in Houston who danced on our Strip poles and were very friendly to all. Last but certainly not least was the Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest put on by Steve Kleinhaus and his full throttle army. This is a beautiful part of the country and a first for the Roadhouse. During this event Dave holds a passport run ensuring attendees can visit numerous local establishments that really creates community involvement. All these events were well organized and it was obvious they are labors of love . It is important that when there is an event in your area that you support it by whatever means available. Please come visit us this month at Thunder Beach in Panama City Fl. Oct. 1-3 , Cotee River Bikefest in New Port Richey Fl. Oct. 8-10 and of course Biktoberfest in Daytona Fl. Oct. 14-17 . Remember to check out all of these cool event pics. WWW.STRIPCLUBCHOPPERS.COM

HARLEY’S HEROS® TOUR ARRIVES AT KOSCO HARLEY-DAVIDSON®
Miitary Veterans can receive counseling and assistance with their government benefits when the 2011 Harley’s Heroes comes to Kosco Harley-Davidson®
The 2010 Harley’s Heroes® tour will include stops throughout the United States INCLUDING OVER 175 Harley-Davdison® dealerships where benefits assistance will be offered to veterans of all ages in the communities where they live. The mission of Harley Heros® made possible with the help of a 1 million dollar grant from the Harley-Davidson Foundation to Disabled American Veterens (DAV) is to provide assistance in obtaining benefits from the department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for all veterans and to show their appreciation for their service and sacrifice to our country. While on the 2010 tour, DAV National Service Officers will provide benefits counseling to those veterans who suffer from service-connected injuries but may have never filed a claim for benefits or have found it difficult to work with the VA.
The Harleys Heros® Tour will be at Kosco HarleyDavidson on Friday, October 29th from 10 AM to 7 PM and on Saturday, October 30th from 10 AM to 4 PM. Injuries suffered during military service sometimes take years to manifest or go year before being diagnosed. Many veterens have their injuries go untreated or uncompensated because they do not understand how to work with Department of Veterans Affairs. Thanks to the DAV’s services, veterans can get the help they need. Kosco Harley will also be accepting checks to help the DAV Foundation, so if you’d like to make a donation, contact Cheri 973-838-8800 EXT 31.

NORTH JERSEY CUSTOMS The owner of this bike came to North Jersey Customs with an almost completely stock 2006 Harley Softail Springer and a vision of what he wanted. We started by getting rid of the front fender and replaced the rear fender with an integrated strut type. Then we swaped out the bars for some 16” apes, replaced all of the cables and hoses and changed the mirrors. Matt decided that it just wasn’t quite what he was after yet, so we mounted up some new Metzler tires on some brand new Radially laced “Fat Daddy” spoke rims. Now all it needed was a kick ass paint job, off to Toontown Paint it went. Bob and Jonathan went to work on the black with Heavy Metal Flake and Kandy flames paint scheme, soon it all came together. When everything was reassembled, we knew this was a home run, this bike turned out just right! To see more of this bike and NJC’s other creations, please visit them online at www.northjerseycustoms.com.
