Saying good bye to mother... When we were dressed and ready to go out for the New Years Eve Party, we turned on a night light, turned the answering machine on, covered our pet parakeet and put the cat in the backyard. We phoned the local cab company and requested a taxi. The taxi arrived and we opened the front door to leave the house. The cat that we had put out in the back yard, then suddenly scooted in through the front door. We didn’t want the cat shut in the house because she always tries to eat the bird. My wife went out to the taxi, while I went inside to get the cat. The cat ran upstairs, with me in hot pursuit! Waiting in the cab, my wife did not want the cabdriver to know that the house will be empty for the night. So, she explained to the cab driver that I would be out soon, ‘He’s just going upstairs to say goodbye to my mother.’ A few minutes later, I got into the cab. ‘Sorry I took so long,’ I said, as we drove away. ‘That stupid bitch was hiding under the bed. I had to poke her with a coat hanger to get her to come out! She tried to take off, so I grabbed her by the neck... Then, I had to wrap her in a blanket to keep her from scratching me. But it worked! I hauled her fat ass downstairs and threw her out into the back yard!” The cab driver hit a parked car. ~~~~~~~~ A Virginia State trooper pulled a car over on I-64 about 2 miles south of the Virginia / West Virginia State line. When the trooper asked the driver why he was speeding, the driver said he was a Magician and Juggler and was on his way to Beckley, WV to do a show at the Shrine Circus. He didn’t want to be late. The trooper told the driver he was fascinated by juggling and said if the driver would do a little juggling for him then he wouldn’t give him a ticket. He told the trooper he had sent his equipment ahead and didn’t have anything to juggle. The trooper said he had some flares in the trunk and asked if he could juggle them. The juggler said he could, so the trooper got 5 flares, lit them and handed them to him. While the man was juggling, a car pulled in behind the patrol car. A drunken good old boy from West Virginia got out, watched the performance briefly, then went over to the patrol car, opened the rear door and got in. The trooper observed him and went over to the patrol car and opened the door asking the drunk what he thought he was doing. The drunk replied, ‘You might as well take my ass to jail, ‘cause there ain’t no way I can pass that test! 4

MARCH OF DIMES STATEN ISLAND 2ND ANNUAL BIKERS FOR BABIES & CLASSIC CAR SHOW

August 29th, 2010 . With Al Pero, Dee Snider & Friends It turned out to be a perfect day for this event. The day was warm, the Staten Island Mall was packed with over 3,000 people and over 1,040 bikers and my family and I had a great time watching them all start up and leave. We met up with Lisa from the March of Dimes, thanked her for having us to this event. We went inside to see all the great vendors, classic cars and motorcycles. My son even used my camera to get some of his own shots for this issue. The bands played all day, more then 22 in all, the people were even treated to a special reunion of Twisted Sister by Mark Mendoza and national Biker for Babies spokesman Dee Snider. The event in its second year shattered its budget with a $70,000 year-over –year increase. The event was great from start to finish, with great food and vendors. I have to give credit to Lisa Tufano from the March of Dimes, Biker for babies, she did one heck of a great job and it was a great run and event. This event is one not to miss and I would mark it off on your calendar for next year. For more information go to www.marchofdimes. com/newyork or for more info Lisa Tufano (718) 981-3000 or ltufano@marchofdimes.com, March of Dimes Office, 110 McClean Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305.

MR. B’s HORSESHOE CONTEST By Debbie Landers

What a gorgeous, sunny day and a great fall ride to Mr. B’s for the Annual Horseshoe Contest. It drew a big crowd and they were all practicing for the showdown in the sand pits!! Yes, it was a date to remember, for more than just throwing shoes and we all bowed our heads and heard a few words from the local chapter presidents as they spoke to all of us before starting the day. Sonny Schiebler, from Onondaga Chapter, Jim Waterman from Oswego Chapter, and Carl (forgive me for no last name) who is called ‘Wrench’ from Cayuga Chapter were the ones reminding us of who we are and what we stand for, and how our freedoms and our voices can count in many ways.

There were plenty of smiling faces as friends came together to be thankful! Thanks to all of you who attended! I have to let you know that the trophy came home to the Onondaga Chapter. It was close but they won it and did a bit of celebrating afterwards. Congrats! I cannot wait for next year!

FAST LANE BIKER NY & TRASHED MC “BIKE NIGHT” September, 2010 . Pictures by G.W.S. . Sponsored by: ReNU Powder Coating 631-249-7368 Street Smart Cycles 631-261-2440 . Kick Start Towing 516-835-0762

We want to thank everyone who came out to support the Bike Nights at Mer’s Pub, put on by Fast Lane Biker NY and Trashed M.C. Also a big thank you to Joe Cotton from Street Smart Cycles, Gerry Smith from ReNu Powder Coating and Archie from Kick Start Towing. These guys were not only the sponsors but have been friends now for a few years and I can’t say enough about them. I urge everyone to support their businesses 100% and look for more stuff from Fast Lane and them in the future. A big thank you to Red and the rest of the Trashed M.C. for doing the Bike Night with Fast Lane Biker NY. This club and this bunch of guys are about as stand up and great people that I have ever encountered. They are one of the clubs that stand apart and have those old school values, and you can take what they say to the bank and cash it. I have seen them time and time again help those around them, support there friends and do what is right, not follow the herd. Always an example of class and respect, I would recommend any new guys thinking about starting a club or to see what clubs are about if deciding they might want to join one, ask them to go to a few of there parties or open houses, you will see what being a great brother, biker and person is all about. FAST L ANE BIKER NY & OC’s FAT BOY BBQ ‘BIKE NIGHT’ August 24th, 2010

We planned on having a Fast Lane Biker Night with Pat at his place, and things were going alright until our family ran into a few health issues. Needless to say I was not as into it as I should have been and I am very sorry but I had to take care of family first. With that said Johnnie covered it for me and took a few pictures and hung around to meet with my sister who had just flown in from Arizona to grab some of the best ribs going. They brought me home a doggie bag and WOW! Great job Pat! It is a winner!!!The crowd was fun, so they told me, and it was a bit chilly but those tough bikers know where to go and how to have some fun. The Jack girls were there giving things out as well as Pat and FLB handing out a few goodies. We are hoping to make this bigger and better next year perhaps on a monthly basis if Pat will have us, we can sit down and put our heads together and see what happens. Thanks to all who showed up! A special thanks to Christinea Rathbun for all her help. By Debbie Landers

FAST LANE BIKER ‘BIKE NIGHT’ at the TACK ROOM BAR . Bethpage, NY Sponsored by Big Boar Cycles (516) 433-9004 and ReNU Powder Coating (631) 249-7368 September 2nd, 2010 . Pictures by G.W.S.

The Tack Room Bike Night is still the place to be! The first Thursday of the month seems to be the night everyone gets out and cuts loose. The party is neverending with the outrageous sounds of Sea Monster, the awsome hot food and the gorgeous ladies. This month’s trophy winners seemed to be all one sided. Best Custom went to Nick, Iron Head’s MC; Best Paint was won by Joe, Iron Head’s MC; and the strangest trophy to date... The man with the least amount of hair went to Ernie, President of Iron Head’s MC. Finally the Best Represented Club plaque was taken away from the three-time reigning winners, Sovereign Brotherhood MC, and given to... Guess who? That’s right, Iron Head’s MC! Way to go guys!! Let’s see if you can do it again next month. It’s time to start thinking of that winter project, so come on in to Big Boar Cycles and get started. Everything from complete builds, engine performance packages, new custom paint jobs, pinstripping, storage and whatever your mind could conjure up. Big Boar Cycles, your one stop bike shop.

The greatest new place that has everyone talking and showing up had another great turn out for the second poker run. I was in Albany with family but my two boys covered it for me going from start to finish along in the car. There was another great turn out and wait til next year! This will be the spot to be at for fun, games, and rides. They are in a great location and Jean and John are two of the nicest people you will meet. Oh yeah, the shop has a lot of great stuff too! Thanks to Johnnie and JT for covering for me. This summer was rough around the edges for us. By Debbie Landers
