Elevating New Jersey wines to an unprecedented level, Unionville Vineyards is dedicated to producing wines of world class quality through the union of art and science. Our SINGLE VINEYARD wines begin with uniquely planted estate vineyards, featuring diverse terroir. Each is matched with hand selected vine stock of the highest quality including clones from some of the finest vineyards in the world. Each vine is painstakingly planted by hand on the perfectly matched terroir. Four to six years of care and cultivation follow before the possibility of a harvest worthy of this designation. Never guaranteed, when a wine of this quality is born, our winemaker will nurture its creation and Unionville will elevate and celebrate an exclusive and highly limited release.

OUR STORY

UNIONVILLE WINERY Located on eighty-eight acres of preserved farmland in the heart of America’s Colonial Crescent, Unionville Vineyards offers breathtaking natural beauty, bountiful terroir, historic significance and award-winning artisanal wines. The land of Unionville itself is a rich patchwork of American history. George Washington led his troops over much of this area and camped nearby on the grounds that now nourish some of our finest vines. Just south of Unionville, he led the Colonial Army to cross the icy Delaware River and change the course of history. As the new nation grew, this became a mighty agricultural region, boasting vast fruit orchards followed by thousands of dairy farms. The first Unionville vines were planted in 1982 and winemaking commenced in 1987. Unionville is currently operated by a group of local landowners, deeply committed to preserving the pristine rural landscape, the tradition of sustainable land use, the local community and the craft of artisan winemaking.
