Colton High FCCLA team brings home top honor s, advance to nationals
C
ongratulations to Colton High School’s Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) team for earning top honors at the State Leadership Conference!
Juniors Thomas Parada and Manuel Solorzano took first place in the state for hospitality and tourism and now will compete at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference, which takes place in Atlanta June 28July 2.
They also each won $50 cash, a trophy, a $1,000 scholarship to The Art Institute of California and a $16,000 scholarship to Sullivan University in Louisville, KY (scholarships are available to these students if they choose to attend these institutions).
In addition, sophomores Emmely Alonzo and Alejandra Constantino took 3rd Place for their Food Innovation project.
