Rialto School District loses beloved educator, alumnus to COVID-19 By Maryjoy Duncan
D
aniel Macias will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, and at the Rialto Unified School District (RUSD), a beloved teacher, colleague and friend.

Daniel lost his battle with COVID-19 on Thursday, Sept. 9. He was 38 years old. A 15-year veteran teacher at Jehue Middle School in the RUSD, Daniel served as an Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) teacher, and Chair of the Math Department.

n September 14, Rialto City Council provided direction to staff on the use and allocation of its $29,373,105 Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery (SLFR) funds.
