As she walked on stage at the majestic Toyota Arena in the City of Ontario, Carter High School graduate earned the recognition of Valedictorian for the Class of 2022, and also set an academic record at her Alma Mater. Her 4.93 GPA is the highest in school history and tops among the 1,766 high school graduates in the Rialto Unified School District’s Class of 2022.

Flores set the record for the highest grade point average in school history with a 4.93 GPA.

Flores earned a full-ride scholarship to attend California State University, San Bernardino in the Academic Excellence Program, an exclusive program that accepts just 20 students each year. Yet, when asked about one of her proudest accomplishments in high school, Flores is quick to go outside of the realm of academics. She considers her volunteer RUSD, cont. on next pg.

he Rialto Unified School District proudly kicks off its Summer Food Service Program this week, offering healthy meals on weekdays at no cost to all children ages 1 to 18 years old. Meals will be offered from RUSD’s Nutrition Services on Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at four locations in Rialto: the San Bernardino County Library Rialto Branch (251 W. First St., Rialto, CA 92376), Frisbie Park (1901 N. Acacia Ave., Rialto, CA 92376), Joe Sampson Park (650 W. Randall Ave., Rialto, CA 92376), and Rialto City Park (130 E.
