BEAUTY "We do not dislike everything that shines, but we do prefer a pensive luster to a shallow brilliance, a murky light that, whether in a stone or an artifact, bespeaks a sheen of antiqueity“ In the praise for shadows, Junichiro Tanizaki

The line of her nose and the curves of her lip create a solid form that becomes the strating point for my investigation. I am fascinated by the shape of the human body and the iconic value attributed to them. Beauty is composed of geometrical forms that can be transformed in order to create the sensation of movement.

MOVEMENT “Think simple” meaning reduce the whole of its parts into the simplest terms, getting back to first principle” Frank Lloyd Wright

Movement is an essential aspect in the creation of a piece of Jewellery, the piece has to interact with the body and comfortably allows its dynamism. Moving objects catch my eye, make my look more attentively. This collection starts from a rotating line that generates a new solid form which bares the essence of that movement. Technological innovation enables me to study this process thoroughly and convert it into reality

INNOVATION Without tradition, art is a flock of sheep without a shepherd. Without innovation, it is a corpse. Winston Churchill

The construction of the collection was made by using the software Rhinocerous, and then 3D printed and casted in metal. The mold for porcelain was printed and used for slab shaping, then fired, polished and glazed to be assembled in the bracelet. Heritage has never been so actual

HERITAGE A concerted effort to preserve our heritage is a vital link to our cultural, educational, aesthetic, inspirational, and economic legacies all of the things that quite literally make us who we are Steve Berry

To compensate for the loss of what was certainly the most regarded statue in the Uffizi, the Venere Medicea handed to Napoleon on September 1802, the most famous of living sculptors Canova was asked to make a replacement. The sculptor has always been reluctant to copy from antique statues and decided to give a new Venere to the gallery that would embodied the spirit of the time The statue arrived on the 29th of April 1812
