At A Glance Presidential Welcome Dear Friends and Colleagues, Welcome to Atlanta and to IFAMA’s first conference devoted to talent. This marks an important and exciting transformation for this unique global organization. Today’s food and agribusiness supply chain is increasingly complex, increasingly connected, and increasingly global. Changes in technology, demographics, economics and climate can lead to abrupt and dramatic changes in supply and demand. Consumers around the world are more informed and more demanding. At the same time, our industry faces the extreme challenge of feeding a growing population while respecting the environment and keeping food prices low. At IFAMA, it has become clear that the “glue” that will define the success of agribusiness organizations in this new environment is not physical resources or financial clout–it is human capital. IFAMA’s objective is to support the international food and agribusiness complex as it navigates the human capital journey.
The IFAMA Annual Conference brings together key stakeholders across the value chain of food production and consumption, from farmer to consumer. This is a truly global event, with speakers and participants representing more than 30 countries.
