About Babylonia Babylon is an ancient city where one of the most influential civilizations arose and at many times throughout history was considered to be the main location for commerce, art and learning. Babylon is estimated to be one of the largest cities on earth, being one of the first ones to exceed 200,000. At the present moment it is an archaeological site, holding many ancient locations and clues about the civilizations that used to live there.
Babylonia Camp Babylonia Camp was an initiative named after the most iconic locations in Iraq representing the rich experience of knowledge and learning that this camp represents. Each year the camp hosts multiple workshops that span from 12 hours to 30 hours of training and education making its graduates equipped with the most impressive skills to make drastic changes in their life and their communities. This year Babylonia will be hosted physically in the city of Babylon, Iraq with two workshops that graduate international project managers certified by IFMSA worldwide and not just Iraq. The impact that these workshops can have would be an instant change in the flow of life and the way of thinking leading to noticeable improvement in the workfield, communities and professional development.
SMART Workshop (Activity management from idea to impact) SMART Workshop is a package of training sessions that aim to empower IFMSA members globally (IFMSA-Iraq members in particular) to lead activities and projects that positively impact their communities, Sarra Basim SMART Coordinator following the IFMSA vision, which is to equip medical. students with the knowledge, tools and soft skills required to effectively take on health leadership roles. To reach the great impact IFMSA is aiming for, it is essential to lead tangible actions that positively impact the community. And that could only be true by ensuring solid activity management that empowers projects on the local-to-international levels. Thus, SMART workshop is a tool of significant importance as it can not only be used to develop the knowledge and skills of our members on how to manage their projects, but can also be used on a larger scale, as to affect the whole organizational maturity, and sustainability of activities. We will be providing training sessions for 3 successive days covering most of the subjects that ensure that the participants are well equipped with the skills, knowledge, and perspective that allow them to manage successful projects, create sustainable impact and take up health leadership roles in their countries, regions and on the international level.
The workshop will also be enhancing the intercultural learning by motivating the exchange of information among medical students from different countries. Sarraa Basim - Hussam Riadh SMART Workshop Coordinators
