CAN YOU HELP SWAN TRANSPORT? Swan Transport has been operating since 2001 and provides friendly provision to access services typically delivering 5,000 journeys a year to people unable to use public transport. This year Swan Transport won’t be able to provide as many journeys but will do what they can to help people get to the services they need in the community for their health and well-being and prevent further isolation. Swan Transport needs drivers to come forward
Swan Transport are raising funds to cover
to help get people out and about again. Swan’s brilliant team of volunteers are starting up after lockdown to provide essential journeys to older and disabled people in Bath & North East Somerset who are on low incomes, however for some of our drivers the risk is too high so they cannot return yet and this is why we need your help. If you have use of a car and a little or a lot of spare time, please consider becoming a volunteer driver. Whatever time you can give will be valued. They pay mileage expenses based on the Inland Revenue rates and training and support is provided and ongoing. The scheme is following the latest guidelines from the NHS, Government and the Community Transport Association to keep everyone safe.
