COVID-RELATED INFORMATION For many, this event will be the first time in over 18 months that they’ve gathered in such a large group. The IIA of IL takes the COVID pandemic seriously and is implementing many safety precautions.

Mask Guidelines

Everyone at this event will be asked to follow local requirements regarding mask policies. As of press time, masks will be required in all public spaces inside the Crowne Plaza, except when eating or drinking. Masks will not be required outdoors. Discrimination or shaming based on masks or recommended safety guidelines will not be tolerated. CONVO should be a safe space for all attendees, regardless of pandemic views.

Cleaning Policies

The Crowne Plaza is following IHG standards on room refreshes. This includes, but is not limited to, deep and more frequent cleaning of meeting and event spaces and access to ample hand sanitizer stations.

Event Space

The IIA of IL has moved our most popular sessions into larger spaces where possible. Sanitizing wipes have been provided in your welcome bag for your convenience. We have also moved some of our networking events outdoors to provide for social distancing and fresh air.

If you are not feeling well, do not attend any events. Doing a quick Google search will provide you with a list of the closest available COVID testing sites.

ATTENDEE INFORMATION Name Badges Admission to all meetings and entertainment events will be by name badge only. Please wear your name badge at all times. It is your ticket to education and social events. Comfort Dots for Badges The IIA of IL is taking attendee comfort into consideration. Please be aware of dot colors placed on badges when networking with other attendees, and do not shame those with a different dot color than you. Red Dot - I prefer to keep my distance. Yellow Dot - I’m okay with talking but not touching. Green Dot - I’m okay with talking, handshakes, and high-fives. Continuing Education Credit Please wear your badge to all classes. A barcode will be printed on your badge. To receive CE credits, this barcode must be scanned during each class you attend. Listen during the class for specific scanning instructions. Each class, based on its length, might have different requirements for scanning. See classroom volunteer with questions. Wednesday afternoon concurrent education sessions may have varying start and end times for each session. CE is awarded in one-hour segments allowing you to fully customize your schedule. Anyone that is late to class, or leaves early, will NOT receive CE credit. The maximum number of Illinois CE hours a licensed individual may earn is 13 for the entire event. The General Session on Wednesday may go less than four hours, which would result in a maximum of 12 hours for the entire event. IIAPAC SILENT AUCTION

IIAPAC

Independent Insurance Agents Political Action Committee

The first silent auction back in 2019 was a tremendous success. We raised over $6,000 for IIAPAC and were able to donate $2,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In keeping with that same tradition, we look to grow on our efforts on both fronts. The Government Relations Committee is adamant in growing our IIAPAC as well as continuing our philanthropic duties as an association. A portion of the proceeds will again benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Below is a list of items we currently have for the auction. Auction sheets will be displayed throughout the CONVO event at various times and locations. Bidding closes during the Party in the Parking Lot on Wednesday, October 6. Items will close incrementally starting at 9:30 pm. See Evan Manning, IIA of IL Government Relations Director, with questions.

DAY T 3:00 - 4:00 pm

Silent Cyber and the Impact on Equipment Breakdown - 3rd Floor

The complexity of today’s computer systems and networks makes it difficult for organizations to protect themselves from a hacker’s attack. New threats are constantly being developed that could have so-called “silent cyber” implications because of potential cyber-related losses stemming from traditional property and liability policies that were not specifically designed to cover cyber risk. This presentation will help attendees determine if their organization is at risk of an attack with silent cyber implications, and how to mitigate that risk. Sponsored by:

Paul Morris

2:00 - 3:00 pm

1752 Club Meeting (Company Representatives Only) - 3rd Floor

Open to company representatives only, this meeting will discuss trends and issues facing the industry. If you are not familiar with 1752 Club, or have never been to a meeting make time to stop in and learn more about this organization. 3:30 - 6:30 pm

Tradeshow - 1st Floor

Meet with over 100 vendors and learn about the valuable industry products and services which will make your agency stand out. 6:30 - 11:00 pm

Party in the Parking Lot - Tent in Parking Lot

After a day of learning inside, venture outside to relax and have fun. All attendees, exhibitors and company reps are encouraged to continue networking in a more relaxed, comfortable setting. Dinner will include food stations - you won’t walk away hungry! Drinks, live music, dancing and fun... all included! Dress code is casual.
