Flood Insurance, Severe Winter Weather, Hackers …
Are You Prepared?
So much is happening in our country as well as our state, from horrific hurricanes impacting lives, businesses, families, transportation and the economy to the 2024 elections. Where to begin?
Carriers expect astronomical losses for wind damage, while much of the impacted inland areas did not have flood coverage. With property rates already at an all-time high, will we see diminished market availability? Can anyone buy flood Insurance, and not just those in Federally Designated Flood Zones? The answer is yes, absolutely, via NFIP and a few private carriers.
Volunteering is one of the biggest challenges – how to get there, what to bring along, what to do upon arrival. There are many organizations providing emergency response services as well as training for volunteers. Check out websites (there are dozens for valid organizations) and get involved. You never know when it will be you or your family needing assistance! Do unto others…
Winter is around the corner, and who knows how much ice and snow may decorate our state this year. But wait: The Farmers’ Almanac says Oklahomans
Cyber Security continues to be in the forefront of exposures, not just to our clients, but to our industry as well.
Hurricane Helene destroyed areas never flooded, or at least not to this degree. The tragedy of losing everything should not be quadrupled by lack of proper insurance. NFIP offers training seminars all year to enable you to educate your clients on the opportunity to purchase a coverage, which is rarely included in property policies and always excluded in Homeowner forms.
While we cannot control the weather, we can take steps to help control the resulting damage: improved construction methods, better emergency communication, quicker response to those in need.
may not want to put away those shorts just yet. Meteorologists predict much of the country will see a warmer than usual winter. But just in case, be sure clients are aware of property exclusions regarding ice/snow accumulation, ice dams, collapse, etc. And what about those contractors pushing snowplows? Is the General Liability carrier aware of the use of snowplows? Is there a dreaded exclusion? Now is the time to check and be sure BEFORE the phone call...

Expanding Opportunities for Young Agents
The insurance industry in Oklahoma is evolving, and young agents are leading the way. Bringing fresh perspectives, energy and innovation, they are shaping the future of the industry. With countless opportunities for career growth, networking and leadership development, young agents in Oklahoma are rising to the occasion and making a difference. Oklahoma is a vibrant place for young agents to thrive. Whether it’s construction, oil and gas, agriculture, benefits, or personal lines products, Oklahoma businesses provide endless opportunities for insurance professionals to develop innovative risk management strategies.
Young agents are well-positioned to leverage their tech-savvy skills and adaptability to meet these emerging challenges. Getting involved with the Big I Oklahoma offers critical leadership development, networking and mentorship opportunities that help young agents take their careers to the next level. Having spent time at conferences across the country, I can tell you that other states look to the Big I Oklahoma and the Young Agents for fresh ideas and membership development.
“Trailblazing Excellence”: A Milestone Event
The recent “Trailblazing Excellence” conference was a shining example of young agents coming together to share ideas, network and learn from industry
leaders. For the first time, this event was held in collaboration with the young agents of Kansas, extending the event to 2.5 days at the beautiful Shangri-La Resort in northeast Oklahoma. With dynamic speakers, fun activities and invaluable networking, this conference was a massive success.
Notably, 47 first-time attendees attended the conference, a sign of the increasing interest among young professionals in the insurance sector. The event also made a significant impact on the community, raising over $1,500 for OK-Pac and additional funds for breast cancer awareness. It underscored not just the professional growth opportunities available to young agents, but also their dedication to giving back.
The Value of Young Agents in Oklahoma
Young agents play an essential role in Oklahoma’s insurance industry. They bring fresh perspectives and bridge the gap between traditional methods and modern client expectations. Whether they’re working with large industries like oil and gas or supporting small businesses, young agents are crucial to developing creative and tailored insurance solutions. Their energy and adaptability have become a driving force behind much of the industry’s innovation, particularly as clients demand more personalized services.
Events like Trailblazing Excellence demonstrate how essential young agents
From the Young Agents Committee
are to the future of insurance, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning and growth. This momentum is sure to continue with upcoming opportunities for young agents to engage and lead within the industry.
Upcoming Opportunities for Young Agents
Looking ahead, there are plenty of ways for young agents to stay involved and continue developing their skills. This winter, a community service project will give agents the chance to make a direct impact on their local communities. In the spring, a fundraiser will highlight one of the associations that are important to our committee, further demonstrating the commitment young agents have for supporting meaningful causes. For those looking to further their professional development, applications are open for the FILO (Future Insurance
Leaders of Oklahoma) program. With registration capped at 20 participants and several already signed up, this program offers a unique opportunity to cultivate leadership skills and drive career growth. Be sure and register soon!
On Nov. 7, one of our association partners, Midcontinent Group, will host a free CE-approved Lunch and Learn at the Big I office. This is an excellent chance for young agents to network while also gaining valuable continuing education credits. To wrap up the year, we’ll host two Christmas parties – one in Oklahoma City and one in Tulsa – in early December. These events are a fun way to celebrate the holidays while fostering connections among peers.
A Call to Action
As we look back on the success of Trailblazing Excellence and anticipate the upcoming events, it’s clear that
the future of Oklahoma’s insurance industry is in good hands with its young agents. Now is the time for the broader insurance community to support these young professionals – whether through mentorship, sponsorship or simply providing platforms for leadership. Their success ensures the future success of the industry, and with the support of experienced agents, the next generation will continue to rise.

9 Trends in the Insurance Industry That You May or May Not Realize Are Impacting Your Insurance Agency
Running an insurance agency today means navigating several trends that could be affecting your operations, revenue and relationships with clients, even if you may not have fully realized their impact yet. Here are some of the top trends in the insurance industry that could be affecting your agency:
1. Digital Transformation and Insurtech Adoption
• Impact: Insurtech companies are using technology to streamline processes, automate underwriting and offer digitalfirst insurance products. Traditional agencies may face competition from these platforms, especially as customers expect seamless, digital experiences.
• How It Affects Your Agency: If you haven’t yet adopted modern digital tools like customer relationship management (CRM) systems, online quoting or policy management platforms, you could be losing business to tech-savvy competitors. Clients increasingly expect real-time access to policies and claims management through digital interfaces.
2. Rising Consumer Expectations for Customer Experience
• Impact: With the rise of digital service platforms, consumers now expect fast, frictionless interactions, including instant quotes, quick policy changes and rapid claim processing.
• How It Affects Your Agency: If your agency relies on traditional, paper-
based processes, you could be losing out to agencies that have digitized their operations. Clients want easy-to-access information and fast resolution of issues. Enhancing customer experience through better communication tools and digital self-service options could help retain clients.
3. Increased Focus on Cybersecurity and Data Privacy
• Impact: As agencies collect more data on clients, cybersecurity risks become more significant. The growing number of data breaches and cyberattacks across industries means that protecting sensitive client information is a top priority.
• How It Affects Your Agency: If you are not investing in data protection tools and training, you may risk not only losing clients but also regulatory fines or damage to your agency’s reputation. Clients increasingly want to know how their data is being protected, especially as they share more personal and financial information with you.
4. Telematics and AI in Auto Insurance
• Impact: Telematics, or the use of devices that monitor driving behavior, is being increasingly used by insurers to offer pay-as-you-drive or behavior-based discounts. Artificial intelligence (AI) is also transforming underwriting and claims processes by making them more accurate and efficient.
• How It Affects Your Agency: If you are not promoting telematics-driven policies, you may miss out on clients who are looking for cost-saving opportunities through technology. Additionally, agencies that don’t embrace AIdriven tools in customer service may find themselves less efficient than competitors.
5. Regulatory Changes and Compliance Pressures
• Impact: The insurance industry is heavily regulated, and changes in federal and state laws, such as evolving health care policies or new mandates on business insurance, can significantly impact how you operate.
• How It Affects Your Agency: Staying compliant with new regulations is critical. Failure to keep up with regulatory changes could result in fines or penalties, while clients may lose trust if they feel your agency isn’t up-to-date with the latest requirements.
floods and hurricanes are becoming more common due to climate change, increasing claims and raising premiums for property and casualty insurance.
• How It Affects Your Agency: Clients in high-risk areas are likely seeing premium hikes or losing access to certain types of insurance altogether. Your agency may need to find innovative solutions or alternative markets to help clients in these regions, as well as advise on risk mitigation strategies.
8. Workforce and Talent Challenges
• Impact: The insurance industry faces a talent shortage, particularly in specialized areas like underwriting and risk management. The retirement of experienced professionals, coupled with the need for tech-savvy employees, has created a significant gap.
• How It Affects Your Agency: If you’re struggling to attract or retain skilled employees, it may affect your
Agencies that stay ahead of these trends by adapting their business models, adopting new technologies and meeting rising client demands will be better positioned for growth.
6. Social Inflation and Litigation Risk
• Impact: Social inflation, driven by factors such as increasing lawsuit frequency, higher jury awards and more favorable rulings for plaintiffs, is increasing the cost of liability claims.
• How It Affects Your Agency: If your agency focuses on liability insurance, your clients may be facing higher premiums and seeking advice on how to manage rising costs. Being proactive about offering risk management solutions and working closely with underwriters to control costs could help retain clients.
7. Climate Change and Environmental Risk Insurance
• Impact: Natural disasters like wildfires,
ability to grow or maintain high service standards. Investing in employee training, technology and flexible working arrangements can help bridge this gap. Agencies that fail to adapt to new workforce expectations may find it difficult to scale or keep up with client demands.
9. Demand for ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) in Insurance
• Impact: Increasingly, consumers and businesses are looking for insurers that align with their values, including environmental sustainability, social responsibility and ethical governance.
• How It Affects Your Agency: Clients may start asking for or gravitating toward insurers who are committed to ESG
principles. If your agency isn’t prepared to discuss how the insurers you work with address these concerns, you could miss out on opportunities, especially with younger and more socially conscious clients.
These trends suggest that the insurance industry is evolving rapidly, driven by technological advances, changing consumer expectations and external factors like climate change and litigation risks. Agencies that stay ahead of these trends by adapting their business models, adopting new technologies and meeting rising client demands will be better positioned for growth.
The Big I understands these challenges and stands in the gap for you as a member by providing the resources you need to meet these challenges, provide much-needed education and advocate at the most critical times so that you and your agency can focus on providing your customers and clients exceptional service.

The Whole Person Approach: Leveraging Strengths Assessments to Unlock Potential in Your Team
“Our staff meetings absolutely drive me crazy.”
“Why can't Jane just take my directions and execute?”
“I don’t understand why client A won’t respond to my emails.”
Sound familiar? I’ve been there, and I’ve heard these frustrations countless times from agency owners. Early in my career, I shared those same thoughts. I expected everyone to operate the way I did –efficiently, with a clear action plan, ready to execute. And that client who never replied to my detailed emails? It turned out they weren’t ignoring me; they just wanted the executive summary while I was sending them the encyclopedia.
The Power of Knowing Yourself
Self-awareness is the foundation of growth and effective leadership. Over the years, I’ve come to appreciate the transformative power of strengths assessments in unlocking potential. My own journey of self-discovery began with the CliftonStrengths assessment, which revealed my top five strengths: Individualization, Achiever, Analytical, Responsibility, and Discipline.
Understanding these strengths gave me clarity about how I operate, helping me build stronger relationships and work more effectively. Individualization, for example, allows me to recognize and appreciate the unique qualities in each
Self-awareness is the foundation of growth and effective leadership.
It wasn’t until I discovered the power of strengths assessments that I realized the real issue: Not everyone thinks, feels or acts the same way I do. And that’s a good thing. Understanding this was a game-changer, both for my leadership approach and for how I helped my clients build stronger, more effective teams. This realization is where tools like the Kolbe A™ Index and CliftonStrengths come into play. They allow us to see the whole person – to understand not just their skills and personality but how they instinctively take action. Let me share how these tools have shaped my journey and how they can transform yours.
person I encounter. This strength is invaluable in my consulting work, where tailoring my approach to each client’s specific needs has been key to building deeper, more meaningful partnerships.
My Achiever strength fuels my productivity, helping me set and reach ambitious goals, while Analytical allows me to think critically and examine problems from multiple angles. Rounding out my top five, Responsibility and Discipline reflect my commitment to reliability and maintaining a structured approach to work.
But as powerful as CliftonStrengths is in understanding how we relate to the world, it only tells part of the story. That’s where the Kolbe A™ Index comes in.
Beyond CliftonStrengths: The Kolbe A™ Index
While CliftonStrengths reveals our cognitive and affective strengths – how we think and feel – the Kolbe A™ Index measures our conative strengths, or how we naturally take action. This assessment helps us understand the instinctive ways we operate when we are free to be ourselves.
For me, the Kolbe A Index reinforced much of what I learned through CliftonStrengths. My high score in Fact Finder aligns perfectly with my Analytical strength, reflecting my natural tendency to gather and evaluate information before making decisions. Kolbe also helped me recognize that while I excel in research and critical
thinking, I must be mindful of potential analysis paralysis. Knowing this allows me to balance my approach and take action when it’s needed most.
From Strategic Initiatives
Why This Matters for Your Team
These tools are not just about personal growth – they’re about building stronger, more effective teams. Whether you’re hiring a new team member or developing the talent you already have, understanding the whole person can dramatically improve how your agency operates.
Hiring with Confidence: When you’re hiring, traditional methods often fall short. You can find candidates with the right skills (cognitive strengths) and cultural fit (affective strengths), but that doesn’t guarantee success. The missing piece is understanding how someone will naturally take action – and that’s where Kolbe provides critical insight.
For example, if you’re hiring for a role that requires consistent systems management, you need someone with strong Follow Thru capabilities. Hiring someone who thrives in chaos and improvisation (a Quick Start strength) could set them up for failure, even if they have the right skills and personality. Using assessments like Kolbe during the hiring process allows you to find people whose natural strengths align with the job’s requirements, reducing turnover and ensuring long-term success.
Developing Your Existing Team: The benefits don’t stop with hiring. Once you have a team in place, understanding each person’s strengths helps you develop them in ways that increase engagement and productivity. Take a producer who excels in Quick Start but has been tasked with repetitive administrative work – over time, they’ll burn out. Realigning their role to focus on high-risk, fast-paced activities can reignite their engagement and boost performance.
In my own consulting practice, I’ve seen how aligning employees’ roles with their strengths not only increases satisfaction but also drives business results. Whether it’s tailoring communication styles or shifting responsibilities to better match natural strengths, these small adjustments can lead to significant improvements.
The Importance of StrengthsBased Leadership
Running a strengths-based business isn’t about fixing people’s weaknesses – it’s about playing to their natural abilities. When you understand the whole person, you can put people in roles where they will not only succeed but thrive.
Using both CliftonStrengths and Kolbe A Index together provides a complete picture:
CliftonStrengths helps you understand what motivates your employees, what energizes them and how they build relationships.
Kolbe A Index tells you how they instinctively take action, whether they’re
From Strategic Initiatives
natural problem-solvers, system-builders or hands-on implementors.
Together, these tools allow you to build a team that is not only capable but perfectly aligned with your agency’s goals.
In fact, research shows that businesses that focus on strengths experience higher engagement, better performance and lower turnover. When your employees are doing work that aligns with their strengths, they’re more productive and engaged, and your business benefits from their higher energy and focus.
My Personal Experience: Applying Strengths in Practice
The power of strengths-based leadership has transformed how I approach my own work. For example, my Achiever strength keeps me focused on setting and reaching goals, while my Analytical and Fact Finder strengths ensure that I approach problems systematically and consider all angles. My Individualization allows me to tailor my communication to each person, and Responsibility and Discipline ensure I meet deadlines and maintain high standards. This approach has not only helped me grow as a consultant but also made a tangible impact on the clients I work with. When agency leaders understand their own strengths and those of their teams, they can delegate more effectively, improve collaboration and ultimately drive better results.
Conclusion: The Whole Person, The Whole Business
In today’s fast-paced, competitive environment, understanding the whole person is essential to building a successful, strengths-based business. By leveraging the CliftonStrengths and Kolbe A Index, you can gain a deeper understanding of your team, align them with the right roles and create an environment where everyone thrives. As I’ve seen firsthand in my work with insurance agencies, investing in
strengths assessments isn’t just about hiring the right people – it’s about developing a team that is fully engaged, highly productive and capable of driving your business forward.
If you’re ready to harness the power of Kolbe and CliftonStrengths to build a strengths-based business, I’m here to guide you. Reach out to me at BIGiOK Consulting to discover how we can work together to unlock the full potential of your team. Let’s start your journey toward greater engagement, productivity and success.

Strengthen Oklahoma Homes Program: What You Need to Know
In June, Gov. Kevin Stitt signed into law House Bill 3089, the Strengthen Oklahoma Homes Act, and kicked off the Oklahoma Insurance Department in organizing the program that will help Oklahomans fortify their homes and reduce homeowners’ insurance rates.
The Strengthen Oklahoma Homes Program is set to begin early next year, so I want to discuss some key points about the program’s timeline and criteria. The law will go into effect on Nov. 1, 2024, and the application will open in early 2025. OID has already begun our implementation process,
an in-force flood insurance policy if the home is in a special flood hazard area.
After completing the application, the next step is to secure a home evaluator from OID’s list of approved evaluators. Once the project is approved and work is completed, OID will make payment to the roofing contractor directly.
After OID evaluates applications and determines whether homes can be mitigated, homeowners can use the grant funds to outfit homes to the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) standards, specifically IBHS FORTIFIED Home – Roof™ – High Wind
Policyholders could qualify for discounts of up to 42% in making these enhancements to homes.
which includes creating consumer information materials, building the grant application, and providing resources for evaluators and contractors. We will announce when the applications are open and continue to provide updates. The grants are open to homeowners who have their primary residence in any of Oklahoma’s 77 counties. Homes must be in good repair unless they have sustained damage from a tornado, windstorm, hail or other catastrophic event. In addition, homeowners must provide proof that they have an active homeowners’ insurance policy with wind coverage and
designation with the Hail Supplement. Mitigation under this standard includes enhanced roof deck attachment, sealed roof deck, locked-down roof edges, impact-resistant shingles by IBHS, and wind and rain-resistant attic vents.
Insurance companies offer discounts for Homes with a FORTIFIED Home™ Designation on the wind portion of their insurance premium. Policyholders could qualify for discounts of up to 42% in making these enhancements to homes. A list of some of the discounts is available on OID’s website. Each company is different, and discounts vary. Insureds
should check with their carriers to see which specific discounts would be available.
Contractors must become Certified FORTIFIED service providers to be chosen for the Strengthen Oklahoma Homes Program. This certification requires specific training and an examination. Once contractors are certified, they will submit their information to OID for final review and approval to be added to the list of approved contractors. The FORTIFIED Home website details the service provider certification process and is an excellent source of information.
I’m looking forward to helping Oklahomans make their homes more resilient to disasters and bringing some relief amid rising prices through this pivotal new program launching next year. To get more information about the Strengthen Oklahoma Homes program and the latest updates, visit oid.ok.gov/ okready and follow OID on social media.

The Trusted Choice Disaster Relief Fund aims to provide crucial nancial assistance to insurance industry personnel a ected by catastrophic events that aren’t covered by their own insurance or other sources.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and Milton, many states including Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee still face months of recovery. The need for support continues to grow.

BIGiOK: The Heart and Soul Behind the Mission

The staff at BIGiOK is as dynamic and inspiring as the industry they serve, each individual bringing unique talents, passions and experiences that contribute to the success. Their collective story is one of growth, dedication and teamwork— a narrative that reflects the heart of the Association's mission and the camaraderie that makes it feel like home.
Kim Watkins, education coordinator, recalls a defining moment that set her on her path.
"I went back to university after having my first daughter and was pregnant with my second. For me, finishing my degree symbolized independence — a certificate I knew I would need later."
Kim’s determination embodies the spirit of resilience and personal achievement that resonates throughout the organization.
Beyond the office, Kim’s love for nature fuels her. “I’m an avid outdoorswoman, a runner, and love backpacking off-grid.”
For Kim, the culture at BIGiOK can be summed up in one word: “Peaceful. Everyone works like a well-oiled machine, helping one another beyond their defined roles. It allows me to feel safe—peace in the workplace breeds confidence.”
Shania Slavick, director of member services, echoes the importance of relationships and teamwork to the Association.
“It's the people — our members, partners and the Young Agent’s Committee — that make this work truly meaningful. I started here as a 20-yearold intern, and seven years later, I’ve grown alongside incredible mentors and peers who’ve made this industry feel like home."
Shania finds fulfillment in the variety her role offers, whether scouting venues or fostering partnerships. One of her proudest accomplishments was winning the 2022 Liaison of the Year Award and later speaking at the IIABA National Conference.
“Being able to share insights from our successful programs with associations across the country was an incredible honor,” she reflects.
The Heart and Soul Behind the Mission
Jeanette Madrid, Worker's Compensation account manager, shares a similar passion for personal growth.
“I’ve worked hard to maintain and grow my book of business, which has strengthened the team by providing more resources and encouraging collaboration. When one of us succeeds, we all succeed,” she said.
Jeanette is also embracing new adventures outside the office, having recently received a Honda Rebel motorcycle from her husband.
“I’m excited to learn how to ride — it’s going to be an adventure!”
For her, the office culture is “collaborative,” reflecting the way the team supports one another to achieve shared goals.
For Cindy Munden, Specialty Lines Service account manager, the BIGiOK team is like a family.
“I’ve been with the Association for 26 years, and I love the sense of teamwork.
Everyone brings their own ‘superpower,’ and together we tackle challenges and celebrate successes.”
Cindy’s long tenure provides stability and reliability to the team, fostering an environment where creative solutions thrive.
“It’s like being part of a superhero team — we each have unique strengths, and together we’re on a mission to make a difference.”
Rabia Anjum, Eagle customer satisfaction specialist, values the personal connections she’s built within the Association.
“Everyone genuinely cares about one another, and it makes work so much more enjoyable,” she declared.
Despite working remotely from across the globe, Rabia feels fully connected. “The team’s inclusiveness amazes me — they even sent me a thoughtful gift, making me feel valued, despite the distance."
Rabia credits her first manager for shaping her career by encouraging her to step out of her comfort zone, observing: “His mentorship boosted my confidence and laid a strong foundation for my growth.”
For Jerry Rappé, marketing and communications director, a pivotal moment in his life redirected his career path toward creative media.
“When a close family member passed, it was a reminder that life is short. I decided to pursue what I love — creative media — and I’ve never regretted it.”
Jerry appreciates the freedom to think outside the box and the support he receives in executing his ideas. A lover of live orchestral music, he finds joy in listening to big band performances, a hobby that reflects his appreciation for both creativity and collaboration.
Chief of Staff & Operations Josh Reasnor brings a wealth of leadership experience from his time in the U.S. Air Force.
“A TSgt on my first deployment after 9/11 taught me the value of servant leadership — taking care of the team first,” he said.
“Inspired by this example, Josh earned a master’s degree in strategic leadership, an education that proved invaluable in his work at BIGiOK.
“I prop up rock stars,” he said. “My role is to empower the team and remove obstacles so they can succeed.”
The Heart and Soul Behind the Mission
One of Josh’s proudest achievements is building the right team over the past five years.
“We guard our culture fiercely, and as a result, we’ve built a team that cares deeply about each other and makes a meaningful impact every day,” he explained.
Sara Bradshaw Ray, senior vice president of strategic initiatives, reflects on a conversation with Denise Johnson that sparked a transformative initiative.
"Denise and I discussed her becoming the first female CEO of our state association. From that conversation, we realized the need for a community and professional development opportunities tailored to women in our industry. That was the beginning of MyNetwork, a mastermind group that has now
empowered women leaders nationwide for 10 seasons.”
Sara’s approach to her role goes beyond consulting; she sees herself as a coach, guiding members to turn challenges into opportunities.
“There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone gain the confidence to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals,” she stated.
Denise Johnson, BIGiOK president and CEO, has a deep-rooted passion for the industry.
“My dad has been a member of the Big I since 1964, and I grew up understanding the importance of the Association,” she reflected. “It’s always been about making agencies better, and that’s still our mission today.”
Denise, who is currently pursuing her yoga certification, enjoys the challenge of learning something new.
“It’s been physically and mentally demanding, but it’s also been a rewarding journey.”
Reflecting on the people (other than her dad) who have influenced her, Denise credits the many inspiring women she’s learned about through history.
“Listening to 'The History Chicks' podcast has deepened my admiration for the women who’ve paved the way for me,” she explained. “My dad, however, gets full credit for introducing me to this industry and teaching me the value it brings.”
As Denise puts it in her closing reflection: “I hope you all are just a little ‘jealous’ of our amazing team. This incredible group of professionals is here to make your agency better while elevating everything we do in this office. Thank you, team, for helping make BIGiOK what it is.”
The staff of BIGiOK is truly a remarkable ensemble — each person bringing unique skills, experiences and perspectives that, like snowflakes, come together to create something unique and extraordinary.
This winter, we celebrate the people behind the scenes who make BIGiOK thrive and wish all of you a season filled with warmth, joy and shared success.
Here’s to the staff of BIGiOK — and happy winter from all of us!

Shelby Stewart from Brown & Brown Insurance said:
“I have nothing but good things to say regarding my first experience at
the Big I’s Young Agent Conference. I have been able to incorporate a lot of the content learned from each of the classes I attended. The environment was incredibly hospitable, and I got to meet lots of agents in a similar place in their career in a fun environment, which was exactly what I was hoping for when I signed up. The venue was spectacular, and Shania even made sure to accommodate my food allergies. I plan to attend next year and every year following for more connections and tools to help me develop my book of business. I’m incredibly grateful to the Big I and Shania for hosting such a wonderful event.”
Ricci Fish of Omega Insurance Agency Inc. said:
