Ilghar Dadgostari

I am a Berlin-based queer-feminist festival curator, sculptor, and designer born as the first snow fell and melted by the heat of a bullet that left the gun barrel long before I opened my eyes. Materials of personal significance manifest a poetical notion within the healing potentials of art, seeking self-revitalization and a revived sense of hope for the future. To come to terms with hope, I use my artistic expression & curatorial practices as a way of thinking things out and work primarily with archives, by reclaiming memories as elements of heritage and knowledge.
