preparation”. Which he later commented on in an article in the New Yorker: “The closer psychologists look at the careers of the gifted, the smaller the role innate talent seems to play and the bigger the role preparation seem to play.”
So essentially it’s less about natural ability, and more about proper
preparation. This is really good news, especially if you have written off certain desires because they didn’t come naturally to you.
