Newsletter: January 2007 i-Line Films is going strong as an SMME in its fourth year! This would not have been possible but for our relationships with the greatest clientele in South Africa. We thank you for your professional business relationships and support and especially the clients that employed us on a very regular basis such as the Royal Bafokeng Nation, seda, NPI and ABI. To start of with: Our syndicated documentary on serial killers in South Africa, “Tortured Souls” is an entrant in this year’s Hot Documentary Film festival in Canada. We secured the rights and cooperation of our county’s first profiler, Dr. Micki Pistorius and started working earnestly on the documentary, filming in Pretoria and on the Cape flats. We are anxious to place ourselves in the international documentary arena while making a difference in the communities of SA.

The Small Enterprise Development Agency (seda) engaged us in their numerous success stories as they established new branches in the Eastern Cape, the Free State and launched their HO in Pretoria. To sustain their efforts i-Line films was tasked to update their fashionable corporate video while documenting these events on video and photos. Because the National Procurement Process is a stumbling block for most of our emerging SMMEs, seda contracted i-Line films to produce a series of 11 Multi-media disks to assist in the training of SMME’s when tendering. The series was produced in our country’s 11 official languages.

seda Tri-Nations Summit The first ever Tri-Nations Summit was hosted by seda in KZN. Working together with government development agencies in India and Brazil to develop improved mechanisms for SMME growth in all three counties, laid the foundation for future expansion. i-Line films was there to document the events on both video and photos.

Omega Risk commissioned i-Line films to produce a drama video illustrating their modern-day and innovative Emergency Response Structure to protect company officials and VIPs. The system is an immediate response signal sent to their control rooms for instantaneous reaction. A lot of fun was had while i-Line films produced a high paced drama featuring kidnapping, high speed helicopter and car chase scenes and enthralling arrest scenes.

The National Productivity Institute tasked us to produce photographs on various conferences and signings of MOU’s and to video their annual conference in August 2006 for print to DVD.

NPI We were once again fortunate to travel the globe on various productions and to capture exquisite scenes of people and their interesting world in countries such as Singapore, Thailand (Bangkok) and the USA.(Atlanta)

ABI Midrand continued the success of their Annual Quarter drives since 2003. i-Line films produced 2 DVDs on the promotional initiative drives by the ABI Midrand branch. We are proud to proclaim that they were once again announced as the national winners for the Quarter drive where we were tasked to produce the DVD on ABI news. Congratulations Midrand and thank you for your trust in us!

It was again an honour to be associated with the Royal Bafokeng Nation. Under the leadership of their king, they set the trend for both African and international nations. The Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace became an enigma for South African rugby. Against all odds some Bakwena magic backed the Springboks against a formidable All Black team and the Boks beat New Zealand 21 -20. This was New Zealand’s only loss in 2006. i-Line films was accredited to record the event on both video and stunning photographs.

International Rugby: Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace But the magic of the Bakwena (people of the crocodile) proved to be more real when the soccer team contracted to the stadium, the Silver Stars became the first ever Telkom Knockout Champions after they defeated Ajax Cape Town 3-1. The team went on a ticker tape parade to various villages and communities in and around Phokeng. Fans were delighted to see the North West team and the cup up close and personal. Soccer training in the North West is supported by the SAMBA soccer academy for the youth and i-Line films was commissioned to document these soccer events for the RBN and Royal Bafokeng Holdings.

The RBN inspire the people with various opportunities and initiatives of which the Royal Bafokeng Excellence Awards and the king’s Master Plan are the most celebrated. i-Line films was charged to document the Royal Bafokeng Excellence Awards to celebrate individual achievements and to assist Kgosi with a Master Plan which will one day prove to change the face of our continent.
