Caterspoint is a futuristic online food tech that operates on a dark as well as cloud kitchen model. The food joint is an ambition of Anshu Raj, a chef by profession, keeping in mind the health aspects for the consumers by giving them premium fusion meals for their anytime meals and all-time hunger. Initiated in 2016, the venture operates on the concept of no physical space for dine-in or takeaway. The mouth-watering food is prepared with high-quality ingredients ensuring a high level of hygiene. Anshu has improvised old cultural dishes from the times of our Moms and Grandmother with new flavors and twists.
Hygiene is one of the most important agendas at Caterspoint. The joint has regular pest control management in all seven kitchens. “I learned a lot about the hygiene process when I worked in Oberoi and ITC, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point). I learned many processes and SOPs for a hygienic environment as it is one of the most important factors for any food business.”, Anshu says.
Realizing the fact that healthy meals are now trending and very popular, the Chef planned out another cloud brand which is into greens and lowfat meals for diet freaks. “Salads are already a category in Caterspoint but there was a demand for salads as a wholesome meal. Therefore, we thought of starting Saladspoint.”, Anshu says. Saladspoint is only about fresh and healthy food and beverages. It has salads, oatmeal and yogurts, and many more to help people have a healthy lifestyle.
During the current pandemic, the chef is focusing on hygiene while assuring quality food is delivered to the clients. “We have taken effective measures and our main purpose is to assure our clients that we are serving them the best of what they order. Every process and section of various departments are trained to provide safe and healthy services.”, says Anshu.

As procurement is a very crucial part, the venture has been facing a lot of challenges in this pandemic crisis. The chef carefully and rigidly handles the entire process. He says, “we procure material only from the best of the vendors and ensure they follow every safety and hygiene measure religiously. For the last 6 years we have also taken care of hygiene but now post covid-19 we are more alert and advise everyone to follow these steps as their daily routine.” Ensuring high quality and using seasonal fresh ingredients, every order is made on-demand which is safe, and fresh when consumed. Hand gloves, clean kitchen tools are used and hygiene is maintained at every step. Proper checking is done before the food is sent for packaging. Customers can expect high-quality and premium food and beverages from ample wonderful and innovative options for all kinds of clients. By promising consistency in taste, quality, and services, Caterspoint is giving a new meaning to the food market. People can expect a whole new level of food and beverages that are coming in the near future including innovation in the Health-Food category, a wide variety in meals, and tailor-made solutions. The startup is now working on the retention rate.
“Our USP is simple. We prepare meals that attract consumers with many variants of each category with reasonable prices.”, Anshu elaborates his plan. “I agree that discounts and offers are something that can fascinate anyone but our meals and ingredients are superior and healthy. And health is something that can never be compromised.” Carerspoint fascinating menu is full of innovative healthy options and servers all kinds of foodies in the market. One can find comfort meals in continental, gourmet, infusion, Italian, American, lifestyle meals, breakfast, with health cuisines with several vegetarian and Non-vegetarian options. “We have a wide range of vegetarian Salads, Sandwiches, keto meals, Vegan meals, and other options as well.”, Anshu says. “This year after a few surveys we inferred that the vegan market is increasing drastically and we are trying to adapt the change as well with the user. Our menu has been designed according to the demand and is easily customizable and flexible. Caterspoint believes in and targets the entire health market in India. The customer base includes corporate clients, parties and events, bulk orders, health freaks, evening snack munchers, dessert lovers, and unwell users.

Post Covid-19, it aims to capture the hygiene food market as well. Innovative and Creative comfort food is the key skill of the company. Anshu has planned to expand the health market share which is 5% of the entire food market. “Caterspoint and Saladspoint aim to acquire 20 cities. We want 1000 members as a team with vibrant, unique, and radical ideas for the company and that would be a great achievement. We are also planning to launch a brand for vrat and vegetarian meals. TDP (The Dessert Point) is another of our upcoming joint.”, Anshu shares his plans for the future.

Anshu Raj is a Chef and a Food Gastronome by profession and also an entrepreneur. Caterspoint is his dream that he is living in presently. He is a Hotel Management graduate and completed master in Culinary Arts. He has 8 years of experience in the culinary industry yet he keeps on brushing up his skills to gain more knowledge about other culinary sections like bakery and confectionery. He is a very curious, a fast learner and new things, especially when it is related to food, excites him. He loves eating and food is his life and passion. Anshu, please share a bit about your professional experience before this business. How did your experience while working for other organizations help you in the establishment of Caterspoint?
Every individual has his own characteristic way of behaving, responding to emotions, perceiving things, and looking at the world but I believe that background is a must to frame one's personality. I come from a pivotal middle-class family, with a primary academic background, but like every middle-class boy, I too had big dreams. I believe that a personality should be real though being grounded to the earth. I don’t believe in copying and being paired with someone else's personality. Though having a role model and admiring someone is a different choice. I admire the American business magnate Steve Jobs.
I was part of some popular brands like ITC, The Oberoi, and Food Tech-based startup where I was the COO. I joined the company Food Tech based startup as a Product and Operational Head when the company started back in 2014. Later that year, the hard work and dedication made me the COO of the company. It was an amazing learning experience for me, not only did I expand my kitchen knowledge but also gained a lot of insight about the Market, the Products, Procurement, Share Market, Investors, and all that a Start-up venture requires.
How your journey as an entrepreneur has been so far? Initially, when I aspired to become an entrepreneur I was ready and thrilled to have all the struggle. I was aware of what I chose and also believed that the

results would be worth it. So far I am enjoying the journey and it is adventurous to see my dreams coming true.
Do you customize the menu according to the client? We do respect the consumer's preferences, palate and do follow their instructions with the order. Our menu has been designed according to the demand and is easily customizable and flexible.
We see quite an interesting menu that Caterspoint offers. How are the menu and food items different from what others provide?
Please share the entire process of any usual order?
Caterspoint approaches the comfort meals for the consumer with new ideas and experimenting with 500 ingredients. No restaurant offers poha and khichdi and if so, not with six variants of each. Breakfast meals including upma, poha, and khichdi and 450 mouth-watering new dishes.
Once the customer clicks on the “buy” button the order journey begins. The process begins with the ORT (order receiver team) that accepts the order in the system. The order is briefed and looked at if any customization is required. The next process begins with preparing the meal. We follow 9 minutes for prep time. These 9 minutes are critical for us as it involves making the meal while maintaining hygiene, quality, and packaging. We get inspiration from Dominos KPT (kitchen prep time). And in the

We do have a few vegan dishes available such as Nutty Pineapple Sabudana khichdi and Roasted Pumpkin Sabudana khichdi. Keto meals will also be introduced to the menu.
Our ingredients are of high quality and I love experimenting with them. I believe in creating unique products for my clients and I have already done it. We do have competitors in the market but Caterspoint’s recipes are very different from the monotonous food market that has been running presently. People still need to discover about us. We have very simply taken our common products and have improvised them into something unimaginable. This has made us different from others in the market offering the same spread. 11

10th minute the packaging team packed the order and shift it to the dispatch team. The dispatch team ensures that the whole order is well packed. The rider has no contact with the kitchen or the meal. The zomato and swiggy have built such a great user-friendly experience not only for the B2C but also for the B2B to deliver. After the order is delivered we go through the review which helps us to understand the customer’s perspective. Platforms like google, zomato and swiggy help us and we work after every positive & negative review. What do you do to keep your knowledge about the latest industry trends up to date? I precisely go through with lots of articles, books, magazines for industry trends. A startup ‘YOUR STORY” is a famous media-tech company for startups and I follow them for forthcoming entrepreneurs, investors, innovators, and what’s new in the market. I also precisely follow ‘VCCIRCLE’ for investments and funding. What motivates you to keep working in this field? Customers who believe in Caterspoint motivate and inspire me to keep working. I am very much inspired by my Idol Mr. Steve Jobs. His sayings inspire me

to stay motivated and confident at all times. The days I feel low and exhausted I read his quotes and this gives me the strength to work as a storm. How do you handle pressure and stress? I feel pressured and stressed when a customer gives negative and bad reviews. It also makes me feel bad. Though we rectify it and take it as a positive point as an opportunity to improve ourselves. What do you love most about your job? Being a chef by profession I would be expected to love food. But as an entrepreneur, I admire Research and development. Being from a Continental background, I as a Chef wanted to explore myself into different variations where the food was concerned. India has a mindset to adapt to traditional food easily but I was looking beyond this. I wanted to design something that could match and compete with the new generation and can be a part of our traditions as well. Healthy food, topnotch quality, and hygiene assurance are what matter these days and that has influenced me to use my innovations and strategies so that I can bring out the best in the market in the given timeline for the clients.

Any business can grow if the entire team works in sync? According to you, what is the most important thing when you are working in a team and how do you ensure that your team members always work together as a team? Successful startup owners know the importance of having the right employees; an organization must be sure to have a good team in place to make it in the hospitality industry. Placing greater emphasis on hiring and training staff can help meet this requirement and will also reduce cost over time. This often starts with sourcing high-quality candidates, having not just advertising open jobs, but also detailed job descriptions that include specific responsibilities and requirements. Take advantage of the interview; ask candidates suitable questions that allow for assessment of their knowledge and skills, it can provide powerful insight into whether or not he or she will make a good addition to the team. It is important to keep in mind that once the proper employees are both hired and trained, keeping turnover to a minimum should be a top priority. I have been very rigid in building a strong team and manpower stability is indeed an important task for all of us.
I prefer to prioritize things and my utmost priority is my professional life, the dream I am living. Though my family is so supportive in my dreams, I would say that my both lives are balanced. Who has been the pillar of strength and the biggest support in your life? My mother is my biggest strength. Being a Government servant in the police dept. her honesty towards everything inspires me a lot and that’s what she taught me. When I decided to leave my well-paid job and thought of starting my own venture, obviously my family wasn’t very convinced and happy about it. All I told them was that I wanted to expand my knowledge and create products that no one has ever made. I trust my instincts that I will be able to make it big someday and my Mother had always supported me.
How much punctuality and ‘on-schedule delivery’ are important for your team? How does the team ensure to abide by the same? ’On-time delivery’ is the last stage of every order. Punctuality is a very important aspect, especially in a food business. Not only quality, quantity, or hygiene goes with meals but the timing is also an important factor. Hunger and cravings are something that can’t be avoided, so on-schedule delivery is very important. We dispatch every order on time.
Which dish is close to your heart? Why? When I was in Mumbai once there I was served sabudana khichdi by Aai. It was my first time to have such a lightning sabudana yet healthy. Being a non-vegetarian, I love this meal and later included it in Caterspoint’s menu. Now sabudana khichdi has made its space our extensive menu and not only one but it has six different variants and is loved by customers.
What, according to you, are the characteristics that are most important for being an entrepreneur?
What advice would you give to the aspirants who want to join this industry?
I think that passion is the most important characteristic. I like being practical, honest, and realistic. An entrepreneur should always be away from giving up, be it any situation, calmly handle it, and patiently wait for the growth.
The only advice I would like to give the young entrepreneurs looking at the present scenario is to survive till the end. Rather than focusing on the growth of the business one needs to focus on creating innovative ideas to be implemented. As we say ‘Survival of the fittest’ you have to be strong, determined and dedicated in whatever you do.

The company and Its Journey Based in Guwahati, Aromica Tea was established in Nov 2018. The startup, founded by Mr. Ranjit Baruah is involved in the Curation, production, and manufacture of value-added teas and was launched in Kolkata and Mumbai at The World Tea & Coffee Expo. Aromica Tea came into existence with an initial investment of around Rs. 10 lakhs and in a two-room office (10 x 16 ft) situated in the backyard of the family’s residence at Guwahati.
Aromica Fiery Tea producing excellent teas in the remote areas of Assam acted as the stepping stone carving the path for the startup to move forward. ‘We connected with more local farmers to procure varieties of tea and tried creating different blends.’, he said.
‘The concept of curating value-added teas using local herbs and spices was a unique and risk-taking decision as this market was a niche market and not well explored.’, the founding Director, Mr. Baruah narrates the startup story. ‘We were convinced that consistency in quality and a good tea would always be appreciated by the customers. We moved ahead with this belief and made 5 blends initially.’

His personal experience of tea-tasting, the various processes of tea production, Ranjit’s Hotel Management degree, and his experience of 20 years of working in the hotel industry became the perfect blend while establishing Aromica Tea which came in handy during the process and hence the company was founded and has been steadily serving it’s customers ever since.
The conviction of the founders and the excellence of the tea was captivating for the customers. The initial positive response from the customers encouraged the venture to come up with more exclusive blends.

Who doesn’t love ladoos? From kids to adults to senior citizens, everyone loves ladoos and wants to eat them to their heart's content. A higher percentage of carbs and fat from Sugar and ghee in the ladoos makes them really unhealthy. Eating ghee, in moderate quantity though, is often recommended by health specialists and considered good for joints. Here are some ladoo recipes with moderate ghee content and replacing sugar jaggery making them super healthy yet tasty.
Dry Fruit Ladoo INGREDIENTS Cashews - 50 Grams Almonds - 50 Grams Pistachios - 50 Grams Walnuts - 50 Grams Raisins - 70 Grams Dates - 70 Grams Cardamom powder - 1 Tsp PROCESS Dry roast the cashews, almonds, pistachios, and walnuts until they turn aromatic and pinkish brown. Keep stirring to avoid burning them. Coarsely grind them in a blender. Next, dry roast raisins and dates and grind them into a coarse powder.
Mix the prepared dry-fruits mixture and add cardamom powder. The oil from the dry fruits is just enough to bind them together. If it feels dry, add 1-2 tbsp ghee Scoop out a small amount of mixture and roll them in round balls. Store the ladoos in an airtight container and enjoy healthy ladoos.
Coconut Mawa Ladoo INGREDIENTS
Desiccated coconut – 1 cup Ghee - 1 tbsp Almonds - 1 tbsp Pistachios - 1 tbsp 20

PROCESS Dry roast the desiccated coconut for 5 - 7 minutes. Next, dry roast the dry fruits and grind them into a coarse powder. Take out 1tbsp and set aside for garnishing the ladoos. Roast the mawa until it is slightly pink. Cooldown everything until they are a little warm to touch. Mix toasted coconut, dry fruits mixture, roasted mawa, and powdered jaggery, cardamom powder together. Scoop out a little mixture at a time and bind them in round balls. Coat the ladoos in desiccated coconut and sprinkle the dry-fruit mixture on top. Refrigerate them and enjoy.
Oats, Sesame, and Besan Ladoo INGREDIENTS INGREDIENTS Ghee – 4 tsp Oats- ½ cup White Sesame- 2Tbsp Gram flour – 1cup Jaggery powder- 1 and ½ cup Cardamom powder - 1 tsp Raisin – 1tsp, chopped Almonds- 1tsp Cashew- 1 tsp Milk- 1/4th cup
PROCESS Dry roast oats in a pan for 5-7 minutes on medium flame. Grind them into fine powder after cooling down and set aside. Roast sesame seeds until aromatic and churn them in a grinder for 1-2 pulses. Add ghee in a pan and roast gram flour on lowmedium flame until aromatic. Add the oats powder and sesame and roast for another 4-5 minutes. Cool down the mixture until it is slightly warm to the touch. Add powdered jaggery, cardamom powder, roasted and powdered dry fruits. Mix everything. Next, add warm milk and combine well. Scoop out little mixture and bind them in the shape of ladoos. Refrigerate them and enjoy
Mawa Sesame Ladoos INGREDIENTS White Sesame – ½ cup Ghee - 1 tbsp Almonds - 1 tbsp Pistachios - 1 tbsp Cashews - 1 tbsp Pistachios-1 tbsp Mawa- 1 cup Powdered Jaggery- ½ cup Cardamom powder - 1/8 teaspoon

Nitin's first big project was to design and build a gaming truck for Mountain View. "It was one of a kind build. We had to install 13 gaming rigs on a TATA XENON which was a tough challenge.", he explains. "Our design team came up with many renditions and the client selected one of the ideas. We tried several ways to achieve just the right result. We started with a single project and ended up

building five. The project was a huge success." Speaking about the initial challenges that he faced while establishing the firm, Nitin said that the journey was full of many expected and a few unexpected challenges. "It is not easy to set up a new venture. There were some known challenges, and to my surprise, there were also many hidden challenges.", he says. He further added that when one starts a new enterprise, mainly financial, infrastructure, staffing, resourcing, etc., are a few ones to name. The main challenges started after the completion of the first outlet. "We had no idea how to attract customers to avail our services." The market was competitive, but team AutoNation's consistency and zeal to excel resulted in several 'beyond expectations' achievements. Despite several challenges, AutoNation has attracted many faithful customers who would love to get their cars customized again and get expert services. Every challenge had been an experience for Nitin. "It has been one hell of a rollercoaster ride but I enjoyed every bit of it. Every day I get to learn something new. This journey has taught me patience and no matter how big or small one should love what they do.", he says and advises the same to others. "Just love your work, focus, and do your best, rest all will fall in line sooner or later.", he concludes.

Considering their expertise in the industry, the 3 partners chose the shoe manufacturing business. Alakh and Abhishek are looking after the production and sample development while Kuldeep takes care of the finances, marketing, production planning and procurement of raw materials. Just after 8 months into the business, the company had to go through the toughest phase as the world was affected by Covid-19. “It was really difficult for us to establish in the market because we were just starting when pandemic knocked on the door. We had zero orders in hand when we came back to the office after the first lockdown was lifted. All the clients either canceled the orders they gave before the lockdown or put them on hold. Everyone was struggling as the market saw the worst time.”, says Kuldeep. “We didn’t give up. We had to keep running our factory for the survival of the workers. We connected to the bigger brands in Agra and started producing shoes for them.” The period during the lockdowns gave the partners some time to come up with

different strategies to continue the business and grab hold of the market again.“We concentrated on the quality of the products which impressed the buyers and we started getting more orders.The business took off and we experienced remarkable growth in the second year.” Aragorn footwear now manufactures shoes for other companies and the shoes are sold in collaborations with the brands such as INC.5, REGAL, DELCO, WINGS, VANSON, AJIO, etc. Comfort and quality are the two main traits that give Aragorn’s shoe a distinct edge and make the footwear appropriate for youth as well as older generations. The footwear is made of fine quality leather which is generally procured from Chennai and nearby places in Chennai. Some of the raw materials like soles, grinderies, and chemicals are procured locally from Agra. “The main material is usually leather which we buy from good leather producers. During the entire process, we get the opportunity to support small-scale units in terms of arranging some raw materials as well as giving them the job work for their upliftment.”, says Kuldeep. The selective range of products includes casual shoes, formal shoes, and sneakers for the domestic and international market. The company also manufactures women's footwear for export. “Our major production is Men’s high fashions shoes. However, we are also making casual sneakers for Men as well as shoes and boots for ladies for the International market.”, says Kuldeep. Currently, the company is supplying shoes in 8 states in India and exporting to some companies in Australia, South Africa, and Dubai. Kuldeep and his partners are planning to expand Aragorn’s roots in the coming future.‘Our first target is to enhance our business in overseas market. A piece of fabric, textile, or a garment has no gender; then why fashion should be gender-biased? In the 17th century, King Louis XIV of France wore a beautiful pair of heels. In ancient times, males wore ornaments, headgears, and many things. The first systematic segregation of clothes happened during the industrial revolution of Europe. The men’s clothing became more comfortable and women’s clothing became more decorative and suffocating than ever before. In India’s long history, we have seen Kurta’s and Angarakha as the main elements of gender fluidity. For many decades, girls have been dressing like boys, and it was a recurring fashion trend. Dhotis, salwar, accessories, odhnis, juttis, florals, and light colours have been trendy features for men’s wedding fashion. “The demand for comfortable clothes is very high in men’s and gender-neutral fashion offers that,” says the director of Kalki Fashions. To adopt gendered dressing, the easiest way is to adopt anti-fits. Genderless fashion is all about setting the imagination free while choosing clothes. Genderless fashion is not only for the LGBTQIA+ community but all those who want to embrace it.
