EDITOR'S DESK

Hello dear reader, Hope you have been doing well!!

The best thing that a person can gift themselves is the gift of self-control. Having optimum control over your desires and emotions can take you a long way in the future. It’s basically the first step towards building yourself for a secure future.

Taming the desires and emotions doesn’t, in particular, mean stopping dreaming about a bright future. It simply means to dream big while understanding inner capabilities and setting regulated expectations to achieve the desired goal.

Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”

Never stop believing in your capabilities but never get too comfortable in your safe zone. Remember ‘God help those who help themselves.’ So keep working on yourselves. Compete with your previous self instead of competing with others.

As for entrepreneurs, it’s crucial to work on the quality of the products or services they are offering. Believing in quality, just like believing in your capability, can take the business to greater heights.

It’s also crucial for entrepreneurs to promote their businesses by choosing a good media partner. The mutual alliance between any business and its media partner is a milestone for both parties and together both takes a step forward towards building a strong future.

As we are entering the third year of Souranshi’s establishment, we feel glad to build a trustworthy relationship with our readers and the brands that we have been featuring in this magazine.

Coming together with its team to indulge the customer in a beautiful shopping experience, IkiChic caters to the finest fashion trends and some fashionable yet comfortable clothes. At Iki-Chic, customers are the foremost priority, says Aditti, the co-founder and head designer at Iki-Chic.

The Brand Story

All her life Aditti had been actively involved with arts and all kinds of creative stuff. After obtaining her fashion degree, she worked with her father as a fashion designer.

A fashion-conscious soul that she had been her entire life, Aditti was always showered with an appreciation for her commendable fashion sense. Despite a long break from her professional life, she had a rich experience of the fashion world and the required knack.

Amidst the turmoil of the Corona Virus Pandemic, Aditti again found her calling. When the Pandemic unexpectedly knocked on our door followed by a series of lockdowns, Aditti started a one-stop

online shopping destination for western wear. “The idea stuck with me while I was reading the book IKIGAI: The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life by Frances Miralles and Hector Garcia”, she says. “The title of the book means finding the purpose of your life and as miraculous as it could be, this book gave me exactly what I needed at that moment.”

Giving the much-needed direction to her creativity and finding her purpose Aditti restarted the creative journey in a new avatar. IKIGAI gave her the purpose and the push that she needed to launch her own fashion brand Iki-Chic, which is named after the book itself. The website delivers high-end comfortable fashion to everyone’s doorstep without any hassle.

The challenges were Big but Temporary Iki-Chic was launched in June 2020 when Covid was at its peak. “Though the brand was launched during covid, the Pandemic itself was the biggest challenge.”, the founder says. “Initially, every step was challenging. We didn’t have any team and we couldn’t do one-to-one interaction with the applicants. Zoom interviews were conducted to recruit the staff. Then, manufacturing clothes seemed difficult because of

the lack of sewing staff. And then it was the photoshoots of the final product because photographers and models were not available. Covid made everything almost impossible. “, Aditti elaborates. “Also, party wears not being in demand was a challenge for us which was and is a huge category on our website.”, she adds. Eventually, everything fell into its place and soon Iki-Chic became one of the most loved fashion brands. “It’s the love of the customers that helped us fight against all odds and flourish despite all the challenges.”, Aditti adds.

The Brilliant Designer and her Statement Style

The founder, Aditti Jain is the designer behind each of Iki Chic’s clothes. Her statement style is every such cloth that makes her feel

Aditti Jain is the creative head of Iki Chic. Graduating from Pearl Academy in India and FIT, New York, Aditti always had a creative mindset and that’s how everything has worked for her in her professional life. A go-getter and a perfectionist, Aditti has always achieved professionalism and perfection in her work. Aditti finds peace and happiness among her family- two beautiful kids and her husband Himanshu Jain who is her business partner as well. She is fond of painting and cooking. She is the owner of a confident personality and embraces life as it comes to her. It was an awesome experience to get to know her. In the following conversation, she talks about her experiences and how she established herself as an entrepreneur.

What does it mean to you to be a fashion designer? Do you think it’s a responsibility and why?

Aditti: Being a designer comes naturally to me. I don’t have to make any special effort for designing clothes. I knew my calling was to be part of the fashion industry since I was a young girl.

Coming to the second part of the question, yes, it’s a responsibility. I believe any kind of work you do is

SOURANSHI MAGAZINE | DREAMS UNLIMITED | SEP-NOV 2022 12

a responsibility. As a designer, if I am creating something I am responsible for every aspect of my work.

What happens to be the most unexpected source of inspiration for you as a fashion designer?

Aditti: Every time I open my grandmother’s almirah, I always get fascinated by her printed sarees. Inspired by her evergreen printed sarees, I am motivated to bring back the heritage era in the modern world. You can even see the same in one of our latest collections which are based on evergreen print designs.

What’s the most ideal environment for you to work in to ignite your creativity?

Aditti: Most ideal environment for me would be a place where I am surrounded by positivity and happiness, a place where I have my team working with me in harmony and supporting me in everything that I do. I believe in unity at work, and all moving ahead in sync to accomplish our goals with a team spirit is what I always make sure of.

What are your strengths and weakness as a team leader?

Aditti: I am very focused and hardworking since I was a child, I think that, slowly, this has become my strength. I bring my whole team together because, I believe, teamwork is a crucial aspect of my work. Although I started working late in my life, somewhere I feel I have achieved a part of what I have always wanted. It’s still a long way to go but I am content as I am efficiently balancing my professional and personal life very well.

Talking about my weakness, I would say that I am a stickler for perfection and that becomes a bit challenging sometimes. When we are working with someone outside our team, it’s tough to find perfection and I require that zeal for my work.

Considering the responsibility in your field and the work pressure, like everyone your might also feel stressed. What do you do when you feel stressed and under pressure?

Aditti: I am very spiritual. So when I feel stressed I chant. I chant a lot to keep myself calm and composed. And I try to spend as much time as possible with my family. When I am with them I feel stronger. Just spending time with my husband and my daughters, laughing with them, and watching Netflix is a big stress buster for me.

Aditti, you have worked with several celebrities having varied tastes and styles. How has your experience been and what did you learn while working with influential personalities?

Aditti: Each influencer has a different taste and schedule. They want things to be done in a rush, so we sometimes have to cope-up with their timelines and it gets challenging for us at times. But overall, it has been a fruitful experience working with them.

How do you feel when you see celebrities on TV wearing Iki-Chic clothes?

Aditti: I feel so grateful that in such a short span of time we have achieved so many things. Its always a pleasure to watch such influential personalities wearing ‘Iki’ outfits on such big social platforms. We have been associated with top Bollywood shows like Bigg Boss on television, and I take pride in seeing these celebrities wearing our designs so well in their own way. Archana Gautam is the recent celebrity who wore our outfit in Big Boss-Season 16. I was so glad to see her enjoying the attire.

Who is your favorite fashion designer and why?

Aditti: Coco channel has to be one of my all-time favorite designers. Her elegantly casual designs inspired women of fashion to abandon complicated, uncomfortable clothes, which is, in a way, what fashion means to me as well.

If not a fashion designer, which career would have suited you best and why?

Aditti: All through my childhood, I had a vested interest in the arts and have grown up honing my creativity. Had I not been a fashion designer, I would have definitely been an artist as I am very fond of painting.

Please share the most cherished and memorable moment of your professional and personal life.

Aditti: Professionally, if I have to say, we recently participated in a fashion show for a charity called ‘The Charter Night’. It was my most memorable moment as it was our very first fashion show. And personally, if I see, I love spending time with my family, my husband Himanshu and my daughters. My entire journey with them has been memorable but holding my daughters in my arms for the first time and bringing a life into this world has to be the most cherished moment of my life.

Green Organic Eco-friendly Sustainable Is it really Fashionable?

hat do we require for a healthy planet and a healthy life? We have been coming across the words like sustainability, organic, green, and eco-friendly now and then. Are these the words that we just say we have been incorporating into our lives or do we religiously preach their exact meaning?

We are surrounded by numerous styles of clothing from famous brands who claim that they are manufacturing and introducing sustainable or organic or

eco-friendly or green fashion stuff. But what do they really mean and what should we as a consumer perceive when we look at the tags mentioning organic/sustainable etc. words?

Sustainable Fashion Sustainable Fashion

In the context of fashion, the word ‘Sustainability’ most significantly means the environmental impacts of making, using and disposing of clothes on the environment. At the producers’ end, the raw material used, the processing of those raw materials, and finally the process of manufacturing the clothes affects the sustainability of the attire. Thereafter, how long the user wears it, how they care for it and at last how it is disposed of, also impacts the clothing’s sustainability.

A garment is created after going through several stages taking natural resources like water, renewable resources like electricity, and natural and harmful chemicals along the way. What’s the usual fate of a garment that is created by investing a significant amount of natural fortune? Generally, it goes to a landfill or is incinerated. Whereas, only an insignificant share of all clothing is recycled.

Sustainable fashion usually is Ethical (Production, Working conditions, fair trade), Circular (Recycling, Upcycling, Thrifting), Slow (Sharing, Renting, Long-lasting), and conscious Ecofriendly, green fashion). It will significantly reduce the harmful impact that the fashion industry is leaving on the environment.

OrganicFashion

While sustainable fashion covers Green and Ecofriendly fashion, organic fashion is a slightly different term which covers the pre-production stage of the raw materials used in making clothes. Organic fashion involves clothes made from materials raised in or grown in compliance with organic agricultural standards.

How do the fast fashion players who claim to provide the cheapest fashionable outfits earn profits? The answer lies in the fact that they often use the cheapest possible manufacturing, resources, and designs to keep the prices low for the consumers. Do you recon how harmful these practices can be for the Blue Planet and also for our health? For example, non-organic cotton is one of the most common materials used in manufacturing t-shirts and jeans. Non- organic cotton can cause skin allergies due to the presence of harmful chemicals used while growing and harvesting the cotton and manufacturing the clothes.

How does Sustainable and Organic Fashion Help?

Adapting sustainable fashion in our lives helps us in many ways. It’s a necessary part of our lifestyle because it:

Minimizes the usage of water while manufacturing the garment Stops the unnecessary sacrifice of innocent animals

Encourages safer and fairer working conditions

Saves Natural resources

Minimizes the usage of renewable resources

Encourages the usage of natural fabrics and discourages the usage of synthetic fabric

Is eco-friendly and teaches us to respect our planet

SOURANSHI MAGAZINE | BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE | DEC-FEB 22-23 21

Healthier for the Blue planet and its inhabitants

Increases our awareness of good, conscious, ethical, and slow fashion Make us fall in love with our clothes again and again

What’sthesolution?

An increase in the production of clothes that are made out of organic and natural materials like hemp, jute, linen, organic cotton, ramie, TENCEL, and wool is the only solution. As the clothes made from these materials will be environment friendly, they will be less harmful to the planet and even a few of them are biodegradable, resulting in less soil pollution. As an example, the usage of organic cotton will reduce water consumption by 91% compared to conventional cotton. Sadly, organic cotton is expensive compared to regular cotton so, only 1% of the total cotton used in the industry is organic.

Thefashionindustryhastoworktogether-

Towards practicing circular fashion modules where garments could be fully recycled after use, reducing the need to create virgin fibers; Towards developing a conscious fashion system where consumers understand who, what and how of cloth manufacturing. Conscious fashion encourages green and eco-friendly fashion styles and we would be giving Mother Earth the respect she deserves;

To adopt an ethical approach educating the consumers and making them more aware of the harmful impact of chemicals in their clothing, of unsafe working environment, reduce child labor and unethical industrial practices.

To encourage slow fashion involving launching fewer yet long-lasting collections by brands, minimizing unnecessary waste during garment manufacturing. The consumer can contribute by sharing and reusing clothes, renting out rarely used garments, buying outfits when extremely necessary etc.

The buyers and fashion brands together make the fashion industry and for this booming field to become more sustainable, everyone has to work together. The progress will be slow, and it will take time but together it won’t be impossible. While several big industry players have stepped up, we still need more contributors it will take time.

In the meantime, checking consumers’ individual consumption rates, by limiting the volume of clothing we buy, disposal of garments, and reusing and recycling them, can work wonders.

Cinnamon Homes- Displaying the Cinnamon Homes- Displaying the Unique Trend of an Exquisite Lifestyle Unique Trend of an Exquisite Lifestyle

With the inauguration of the first experience centre in Noida, Cinnamon homes, a subtle-premium furniture brand with a lot of focus on design was founded in mid-August this year. The brand positions itself as a go-to brand for the aspirational class of buyers who wants something new yet not very pricey.

Anand Suman, the founder of Cinnamon homes shares the interesting tale behind the start-up. “The idea of a premium consumer brand in furniture was born while I was busy strengthening Febrento which is my other start-up in home furnishings space.”, the founder says. “We wanted to create an Omni- channel based on exclusive designs for an ambitious clientele who is in search of affordable premium furniture for their dream space”.

Mr. Suman, an IIT Bombay graduate and management Post Graduate from IIM Ahmedabad wanted a name that would be something easy to remember and pleasing, common yet striking.

The word Cinnamon struck while Mr. Anand and his friends were brainstorming in a café. He saw Cinnamon being used in many of their menu items. A couple of months later the website was also launched in 1st week of Oct with the name www.cinnamonhome s.in. The website displays a unique collection of furniture with the latest notions and novel ideas.

ANAND SUMAN FOUNDER at CINNAMON HOMES

The brand keeps on working on lots of new and fresh collections that can be surfed by visiting the company website. The clients will find around eight designer collections, all with something different to offer and very likeable models. “Consumers can look at the collections on various online and offline tools. Our website and the Instagram page content are already being appreciated.”, Mr. Suman says.

The brand is very particular about the quality that they offer. Mr. Suman elaborates on the quality of furniture, “We don't compromise on the material we choose. In wood, we are experimenting a lot with creating fresh finishes. All woods are seasoned properly, and we don't use polish with lead content, unlike other brands. In our sofa, we are using the best foams in India which stays sagless for 7 years.”

In addition to these qualities, the furniture also flaunts unique resin art with wood and metal as a prominent feature in many products which is a great initiative towards promoting art by the brand in their store.

Backed by a strong team of designers from NID

and NIFT, the company is aiming to become not only a product company but a channel which can offer a helping hand to set up your entire home with their beautiful collection. “We are here to offer you selective designer furniture to enhance the warmth of your home. We select our design based on novelty, looks, comfort, and manufacturability at the right price so that we can offer it to the consumer at reasonable prices.”, Mr. Suman says. “The idea is simple- to make your home truly gorgeous which is perfectly captured in our tagline ‘Art of Gorgeous Living’.”

Having been featured in India’s leading newspapers and magazines like TOI, ET, HT brunch, Financial Express, India Today Homes, LBB, thelifestyleasia, etc., the company is already setting itself as a popular furniture brand. It is also growing at a very healthy rate because of the love they are receiving from consumers and the satisfaction that it can provide to its customers.

Mr. Suman finishes off by saying, “The most satisfying thing is that we can satisfy our consumers’ aspirations of beautiful homes with our design and price proposition. We want to be one of the leading companies in mid-premium segment and certainly one of the most loved Brands. We are aiming to be Tanishq of Furniture space.”

REDESIGNING REDESIGNING COMFORT & COMFORT & LUXURY LUXURY

“We work around the notion of luxury and comfort. The meaning of luxury and comfort varies from individual to individual. So, our prime focus rotates around our clients’ preferences and personalities to design spaces for them”, says Manish, the founder of RoiretniInteriorDesignStudio.

Roiretni Interior Design Studio, started by Manish Gorak, are a design and build company working on residential and commercial interiors and architecture. Starting in 2017 in Hyderabad, the brand has spanned its influence to the cities of Mumbai, Delhi, and Vijayawada.

The brand, Roiretni is known as a service-based company rather than a product-based company. Roiretni’s team learns through the design and execution processes and applies the takeaways to the next project.

SOURANSHI MAGAZINE | DREAMS UNLIMITED | SEP-NOV 2022 28

Having worked on about 50 projects so far, creating a respectable brand name has been the main priority for Roiretni. “We try to maintain a certain quality irrespective of the given budget that helps us build a brand.”, Manish explains.

As an entrepreneur, Manish enjoys competition and takes necessary inspiration from competitors. “Every designer has something unique to offer and we’d be looking forward to collaborating with them rather than competing with them.”, he asserts.

According to the entrepreneur, designs have the ability to speak to the surroundings, if placed correctly. Through his work, Manish tries to reflect the design voice with a touch of modernity conveying local and international patterns relevant to current times. He understands the importance of an individual’s dreams and puts his best efforts to convert them into a reality.

“Your home is your biggest and greatest investment, so make it last with the proper and correct design. We are careful about choosing the right design for your home because it’s the place you return to at the end of the day.”, he assures his clients.

The only design style followed was the client’s style. For the finishes, special care was taken for the bathrooms. Keeping in mind the aesthetics and the anti-skid character, the vitrified tiles installed by the builder were replaced with leather-finish marble for the dry area’s floor and deep leather-finish marble for the shower area’s floor.

The designer did face a major blockage during the design phase which they resolved through healthy discussion. The client wished for wooden flooring in the master bedroom as he thought the same was trendy. After long tiring discussions, the designer succeeded in convincing the client to go with a marble floor because of easy maintenance which was the client’s requirement in the first place.

Considering the safety of the residents that includes old as well as kids, no corner or edge was kept sharp.

All beds were placed such that the inhabitants could comfortably enjoy the view from the window from the side of the bed, thus avoiding light falling directly on the face. The provision of relaxed seating was given in the master bedroom. The designer had to do a lot of brainstorming to design the kid’s bedroom to keep it subtle for 2 kids aged 4 and 16.

A neutral colour palette with some bright colours in upholstery and accessories completes the look of the house.

Since the client insisted on “low maintenance”, the materials were restricted to acrylic in the kitchen and veneer, marble, PU, and metal in the rest of the rooms, also keeping in mind premium finishes that the skilled labour force meticulously took care of.

Every room was given an appropriate yet minimalistic design highlight.

The Circular onyx stone in Pooja Room symbolizes the sun. Living room with a sliding partition acting as a barrier for 2 spaces simultaneously. A 10’ wide veneer architrave and bed back with lit arches in the kids’ bedroom.

People prefer buying from established brands and don’t want to experiment with new brands.

On stability as a brand

“So far we have succeeded in providing best possible satisfaction to our clients. We are extremely easy with returns and exchanges. Our policy is- ‘more for less’ and we strive to adhere to the same.”

“The store that we have recently inaugurated is a big milestone in Shubhkari’s journey as a brand. Now we are aiming to make our presence known through most of the reputed e-commerce platforms.”

Moreover, brands also prefer digital marketing but the existence of fake accounts negatively affects the growth rate and endanger the stability of budding brands.

Manufacturer Direct SALE to Consumer…!!!

It takes a lot of courage and determination to start a business from the ground level. With a little experience and Rs. 50,000/- which he profited from a random order of manufacturing gonis, Mr. Parashar G Trivedi, the man behind NiceG, started an import business in the early ’90s. The company was doing fine until it saw a downfall in the company that forced Mr. Trivedi to shut down the business.

“The time was difficult. There was no waywecouldkeeprunningthefirmso, we had to shut down the import business.”, says Divya, Mr. Trivedi’s daughter who happened to have joined NiceG as the third Director in 2017. “Papa borrowed some money from people and bought a manufacturing factory in Ahmedabad in the year 2000.”,Divyaunfolds.

Fast forward 22 years, NiceG stands as a pioneer manufacturer and exporter under the competent directorship of Mr. Trivedi, his wife Mrs. Rekha Trivedi, and his daughter Ms. Divya Trivedi.

“We take great pleasure in introducing ourselves as one of the pioneer manufacturers and exporters of comfort wear i.e., workwear, coverall, boiler suits, uniform & complete climate controlweari.e.,rainwear,winter wear, protective garments, reflective & high visible outerwear, snowfall jackets, garments based at Ahmedabad, India.”

SOURANSHI MAGAZINE | DREAMS UNLIMITED | SEP-NOV 2022 36

The company, which was essentially started as a manufacturing company for rainwear and winter wear has now grown to have three fully functional factories in 2 states. “The factories operate in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and Sagwara, Rajasthan. Moreover, at the beginning of this year, we have also branched out in branded bags and apparel industry.”, Divya continues.

The factories also house automatic machines made in Japan to manufacture high-quality finished goods for domestic as well as the export market at an extremely competitive rate. Professional employees specifically trained to manufacture more than 2000 sets per day using high-quality raw materials add to the strength of the company.

Like any other aspiring business, NiceG also comes across hurdles and challenges. Divya talks about a few that surface frequently. “We usually have to deal with the shortage in supply of raw materials, increase in the cost of raw materials, pressure to meet environmental norms, infrastructure bottlenecks etc.”, she admits, “We try to overcome these challenges by exploring untapped markets of the global textile and apparel industry. We’ve also started to diversify our product portfolio to capitalize on the potential market opportunities.”

NiceG caters to any younger consumer who is driven towards high quality and style and is willing to accept the brand positively. Keeping them satisfied is another challenge for the brand but a necessary one.

For the very first time Manufacturer Direct SALE to Consumer. As being Manufacturer we directly sale to customers, on our website as well as via 3 different stores in Ahmedabad and Rajasthan.

The brand is empathetic in its approach and apologies to the customers yet thrive on customer reception and positive feedback. Divya shares her unique perspective towards customer satisfaction and her take to nurture valued relationship with unsatisfied ones.

“Once you're aware that your client is unhappy, your priority should be putting yourself into a customer service mindset. Thoughts like ‘it isn’t our fault, or ‘the client has made a mistake’, or ‘they are giving you unfair criticism’ must be discarded. Understand that your customer or client is upset, as the service provider it’s up to us to solve the problem. Adjust your mindset so that you're giving 100 per cent of your focus to your client, and the current situation.”

“At NiceG we believe in turning every challenge into an opportunity.”
SOURANSHI MAGAZINE | BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE | DEC-FEB 22-23 37

She also asserts to actively listen to what the client or customer is saying. “All they want is to be heard, and to air their grievances. So, when the issues do arise from our customer’s side, we believe in active listening and finding a solution to the problem.”

NiceG’s products are well accepted in the national & international markets, and they have been in business for more than 15 years now because of the quality of their products and efficient customer support.

The brand believes in innovation, enhanced leadership, and aims at providing best-value products and services to global customers. Desirous to make a difference through its branding, the company also aspires to stay ahead of fashion trends, market changes, and the latest technology.

Striving to be a global leader in Rainwear and Fashion by empowering innovation and design, NiceG envisages providing total customer satisfaction in the coming years. a

children, are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow. Nurturing them, loving them, and making them responsible human beings is the most important job of a parent.

It’s an irony that parenting is the most taken-for-granted and the most rewarded

job at the same time. Parents go through a hell lot of struggles for several years just to see their children shine brightly once they stand on their feet. The reward is incomparable!! Said that building a child for their future is such a challenging aspect of the job description that describes the role of a parent. So, what is the most important and the very first step towards building children for their future so that they can emerge as a person of their own and shine brightly in their eyes?

Work on Yourself

Preparing children for the unforeseen future starts from a very early age that involves parents working on themselves. “The best thing that a parent can do for a child is to keep working on themselves by learning, observing the surroundings and their children.”, says Riddhi Deorah.

“The more you work on yourself the less you have to work on your child. As a parent, you have to keep yourself updated with the changing time and practice the teachings that you want to inculcate in your children.”
SOURANSHI MAGAZINE | DREAMS UNLIMITED | SEP-NOV 2022 40

Accept Your Child and Support Their Interest

The word parenting is derived from the Latin word Pareto which means to draw out or bring forth. As each child is an individual with a unique identity and skills, parents must accept the child as the best child for them. “Work on understanding and drawing out the best ability and qualities that your child has and help them polish their skills. Do not try to jam in more information because it will confuse them.”, Riddhi explained. Identifying what a child is naturally into and supporting them in what they truly enjoy will improve the parentchild relationship and it will automatically improve their self-esteem and self-confidence.

Model the Right Behavior

Children learn more by observing than by listening and for little children the role model is their parent. “Project yourself as a real parent, not as a perfect parent. Children adopt most of the habits from their parents. If a parent tends to express anger more, children will learn to express anger.”, Riddhi said. “Try to incorporate good behavior in your child by modeling it yourself.”

Make Them Understand that the Struggles are Real

Life is the longest and the sweetest journey yet it’s not all creamy. The bitter truth is that life is as bitter as bitter gourd, as sour as lemons, and as peppery as chilies. Children must be steadily exposed to this dark and difficult side of life and parents must teach the kids how to make lemonade out of lemons and how pepper adds flavor to the food. Riddhi suggested that parents must let the kids face minor issues from an early age. “Parents tend to rescue children from a difficult situation. I think it’s ok for a child to understand that struggles are real and an inseparable part of our lives including the children themselves and their parents as well.”, Riddhi emphasized. “Letting the kids handle small issues and the problems will give them an inkling of real-life challenges and struggles.”

Teach them to Communicate Effectively

Effective communication is the key to addressing the real issue and understanding it in a better way. Addressing the emotions in the right way and then working on kids’ behavior can only be done if parents can develop proper communication with their kids. “It’s very important for the parents to acknowledge their kid’s emotions, complains, and achievements in the right way when the kid is trying to communicate with parents.”, Riddhi advised. “Don’t judge the child for their behavior without understanding the real cause because children’s

behavior depends on emotions and their behavior is a way to communicate and express themselves.” Riddhi also suggested that working on a kid’s EQ through proper communication will allow them to express themselves effectively which in turn will lead them to have a strong IQ. “It’s behavior over brilliance. If your child’s way of communicating or behaving is not right, nobody would want to listen to them no matter how brilliant and qualified they are.”

Let them Make Decisions and Own Them

Give the kids the freedom to make the decisions for themselves and also educate them to own their decisions. “Deciding for themselves will help the kids to think analytically, weigh the pros and cons and understand what is right for them.”, Riddhi said. She also advised that the parents must provide adequate advice and support whenever needed and also teach the kids to own to their decisions. “Taking ownership of their decisions will give the kids a sense of responsibility and also help them understand how, when, and what to decide.”

Make Them Aware of the Action and Consequences

Every action has consequences. Kids often act in a way that might be wrong and have severe consequences. As the obvious human nature, kids tend to make mistakes. It’s up to the parent to make the kids aware of the action-consequence equation and teach them to learn from their mistakes. “Everyone makes mistakes, let the kids make their share of mistakes. Teach them to accept their mistakes and learn from them. Let them understand the consequence of their actions in a positive way. Don’t scare them by scolding or enforcing punishments. This will damage the parent-child relationship and the kid might start hiding their mistakes in future.”, Riddhi suggested. Don’t forget mistakes are our friends and the best teachers. Learning from their mistakes is the best way to discipline kids and teach them the consequences of their actions

Life is a very long journey having several milestones and every milestone is an achievement. Seeing their kids happy and succeed is what every parent strives for which is also the biggest achievement for them. The parent-child relationship is based on mutual trust and it’s the most important part of building kids for future success. Nurture the kids in a way that works best according to their personality. It will take time and constant effort but the fruit that you as a parent will reap will be the sweetest!!

Happy parenting!!

Govind Milk was started by Sanjivraje N in 1996 to benefit milk farmers. Over the years, Govind Milk has earned a reputation in the market for producing clean and highly nutritious milk. This reputation has helped the brand in bagging the contract from companies having very stringent quality requirements. “We have been in the market for a long time so we understand the urgency of quality products. Our products are 100 % safe. The companies who make highly sensitive products like baby food trust us because of the quality of our milk and our reputation in the market.”, says Mr. Sanjivaraje.

The Journey

As a solution to improve the livelihood of the rural population in Phaltan, a small town in the state of Maharashtra, he started collecting milk at fair prices from dairy farmers and supplying them to urban markets like Pune and Mumbai. The company also tied up with companies like Cadbury who needed good-quality milk at the time. Gradually, through Govind milk, dairy farming was promoted in Phaltan Taluka on a large scale. Over the years, dairy farming as an occupation has grown multifold and is the biggest industry in terms of revenue for farmers in Phaltan taluka. Govind milk is also one the biggest employers in the region and the product quality is appreciated not only in India but even in countries like UAE, Singapore, Mauritius, Saudi Arabia, Qatar etc.

Value to the farmer and quality to the consumer

At Govind, the company motto, ‘Value to the farmer and quality to the consumer’ is followed very religiously. “While we provide a fair price to the farmer for their milk, we also work with farmers to increase their earning potential by encouraging them to use dairy by-products to make fertilizers, biogas etc. We also promote the low-cost farm model so farmers can earn higher profit.”, Mr. Sanjivraje explains the company motto.

Popular Products

Govind is very popular in the market for traditional dairy products like Ghee, shrikhand, flavoured milk, butter, lassi, buttermilk, and many others products. However, the company also has several unique product offerings. Different types of milk powders, ready-to-cook powders like Basundi mix, Gulab jamun mix, and kheer mixes, etc are also manufactured at the company. These products allow consumers to make these recipes conveniently at home following a few simple steps. The brand is one of very few certified organic milk in India and sells a range of organic milk products under a sub-brand ‘Hills and Valleys’.

Well-Nourished Cows and Pure Milk

There is a saying ‘We are what we eat’. This stands true, especially for cows. The farmers are encouraged to use the best quality cattle feed combined with fresh fodder made at the same farm. Well-nourished cows provided with good food, exercise, and a comfortable environment give the best quality milk.

To ensure the purity of milk and other dairy products, a grass-to-glass model is followed at the company. “We try to monitor everything from the breed of the animal to food, water and general wellbeing of our animals and our farmers.”, Mr. Sanjivraje says.

The tagline- ‘The Happy Makers’ The belief that healthy and happy cows give good quality milk allows the brand to supply high-quality milk and milk products, which leads to a happy clientele. The free house farming practice along with the quality nutrition to the cows gives high-quality milk.

“At Govind right from the cows, farmers, BMC owners, distributors, Employees retailers and last but not the least the consumers are happy and that is the reason the brand call itself ‘The Happy makers’.”

Christmas, the festival of cakes, treats, and Santa’s presents is just around the corner. The festival is indeed incomplete without cakes and treats. Here we have a perfect treat that will be loved by kids and adults alike. Yummy, creamy, crunchy, and adorned with Oreos, the Oreo Chocolate cake. Oreos are just as good a treat as the cake itself. Kids love Oreos for the chocolaty and creamy richness it treasures. A cake or pie prepared using Oreo as the the main ingredient adds to its glory making it the most desirable dessert for any festival. The added advantage of this delicious delicacy is that it requires no baking and is ready in a few simple steps. Let’s dive into the divineness of The Oreo Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

Oreo: 2 packets

Fresh whipping cream: 1 cup Dairy milk chocolates with or without nuts: ¼ cup

Unsalted butter: 2 tbsp Powdered sugar: 2-3 tbsp

Process:

Start by melting the chocolate in a water boiler. Add the whipping cream to the melted chocolate while making sure that the chocolate is at normal temperature. Refrigerate the mixture for about 2 hours or until the mixture is cold enough. Whisk this cooled mixture until soft peaks are formed. Add powdered sugar and whisk again until hard peak consistency is achieved. Refrigerate. Alternatively, you can also use the store-bought flavoured whipped cream of your choice to save time.

Crush the Oreos in the food processor to make a coarse powder. Save some to be added to the whipped cream prepared earlier. Add melted butter to the crushed Oreo powder and give it a nice mix. Spread the mixture on a cake mould/tin. Press it evenly across the mould’s base. Top up with the chocolate whipped cream. Garnish with crushed Oreo powder and chopped or full Oreo cookies.

Refrigerate the cake for about 2-3 hours before relishing it. The super yummy no-bake cake is ready to be served. Additional tips: Prepare cupcakes in transparent glasses for kids or in champagne glasses to enjoy on a date night!!

MINIMALLY FLORAL

Regardless of the size of the nails, floral patterns are always a safe bet. This short nail art idea combines simplicity with contemporary design elements. All you need to do is to coat your nails with transparent lacquer (this will add a layer of gloss), then paint little flowers on some of the nails. You can add minimal lines or French tips to the other nails. This nail art design is minimal and quirky at the same time.

MONOCHROME PALETTE

It’s a truth as old as time that you can never go wrong with a monochrome palette, especially if you have unusually short nails and can’t try any experimental designs. Simply paint your nails with soft pink or nude, and add some swirly or geometrical black elements. This nail art idea is especially suitable for small nails that have less surface area and cannot accommodate complicated designs.
