Linnea Heflin Froppy

8

I redrew Tsuyu Asui (hero name being Froppy) in her hero outfit. Froppy’s character and design is from the anime “My Hero Academia” I drew this as a gift for a family member due to Froppy being their favorite character. I also decided to do this because I liked the anime and wanted to draw at least one of the characters.

Parrot This is part of a series of colored pencil drawings of things that aren’t man made. I’m using brown paper to really make the highlights and shadows pop. To explore lights and darks and to draw more things that aren’t as perfected.

I painted an observational piece of caramel popcorn. I chose this as my subject because I’ve a really good memory of eating caramel popcorn with friends.19

I created a series of illustrative drawings inspired by nature. I used Colorona and huhu artist markers as well as ballpoint pen and Faber-Castell pens.

Dream State 32

34

It is said that in dreams we can only see the faces of those we’ve seen before, even if in the briefest of passings. Our dreams are influenced by our experiences. The places we’ve visited, the people we’ve seen, the things we’re scared of, the things we could only dream of doing. In my series for my second AP portfolio I have chosen to explore the influences of my dreams, encompassing these ideas of person, places, and things. Employing the dream scape idea through color and pattern, and repetition of these things mimicking the nonsensical form our dreams tend to take.
