Reflections How ironic that the man went away sorrowful because of his great wealth. The earthly possessions that had been the cause of his great joy were now the source of his sorrow. Why? Because they were keeping him from the adventure of a lifetime--to follow Jesus. Jesus clearly identified the knot that was tied around that man’s heart. In the same way Jesus wants us to be aware of anything that would keep us bound from living the good life.

Money and material possessions are important to us to be sure. Yet sometimes they become too important. Sometimes it is a matter not of what I own but what owns me. The remedy for this inordinate attachment to money and material possessions is a life of faithful stewardship. A good steward is grateful to the Lord for all of the blessings He has bestowed. A good steward is responsible in taking care of those blessings and using them prudently. A good steward is generous in sharing God’s gifts in justice and in love. Because of this, the petitioner was deeply hurt, outraged and slighted; He confronted the respondent about this illicit affair and she admitted that she still love her ex-boyfriend; 13.3. That she was only forced to marry him because her relatives threatened her; 14. Shocked by the revelation of the respondent, petitioner became so angry with the respondent, he became verbally assaultive to the respondent;

ORDER Filed before this court is a motion for leave of Court to serve summons by publication filed by the petitioner through counsel, alleging that respondent Marijel Carpio Soriano cannot be served with summons by personal service or by mail, on the ground that as per return of summons, the respondent already left for Lebanon.

Considering the motion to be meritorious and to enable the Court to acquire jurisdiction over the person of the respondent, the same is hereby GRANTED. The petitioner is hereby allowed to cause the summons for publication in a newspaper of general circulation.
