Botanical Gardens South Yarra Moonlight Cinema A Slice Of Heaven
For something a little different, grab your picnic rug, food basket and bottle of vino, and head out into a balmy summer evening to the Royal Botanic Gardens, for an amazing Moonlight Cinema experience. Situated on Birdwood Avenue in South Yarra, the movie starts at sundown which is around 8.35 in February. Nestled amidst the superb flora of the gardens the magic starts, and you can relax back with friends and family to enjoy a classic, cult or latest release movie. Easily found you enter through gate D and traverse the path to the central lawn, just follow the people with the picnic baskets. While the young ones won’t mind sitting on the lawn, those of us that are a bit older can take advantage of Moonlight beanbags, that can be hired for the small price of $7 per bag and blankets can be purchased for $15. If you are after something a little more up market, you can purchase a Gold Grass ticket for $33, which includes entry, a glass of wine and a reserved bean bed in a premier viewing location.
