MARKET REPORT
We predict the property market will remain stable as we approach Winter and is a climate buyers will certainly warm to. To date we have experienced an increase in buyer enquiry across all of our trade areas and the positive news of the RBA interest rate cuts signals some favourable outcomes for the Melbourne property market.
In the first half of 2012 we witnessed a consistent volume of sales and our auction clearance rate was on the increase compared to the previous quarter. The interest rate cuts in May impacted consumer confidence significantly and the pulse of the property market is beating faster. Location really is the key and the western suburbs continue to thrive as we have highly treasured and sought-after areas. CEO of The Real Estate Institute Of Victoria, Enzo Raimondo recently revealed positive news for people considering purchasing in the inner west, “The western suburbs is the pick of all places to buy. I personally believe the western suburbs as an established area will show continued growth even in difficult times. Now is the right time to buy.”
Our vibrant Compton Green team is devoted to facilitating change whether it is residential sales or property management, we are all busy working hard and have an exciting few months ahead. Compton Green’s Williamstown office will be demolished in the second half of 2012. It’s been our home since the 60’s and whilst it’s with some sadness we see it flattened out, we are very excited with what we have planned to replace it! We have secured a small shop at Ferguson Street, Williamstown which will be our home until the new building is complete. It’s business as usual from this address. It’s my great pleasure to inform you that Adrian Butera has registered to compete in the REIV Senior Auctioneers
competition which will be held in June. Adrian continues to push himself to perform at his absolute best. In July we have our Compton Green Project Day for our staff and looking further down the track, our State Of The Market Information Forum in September will provide local residents with an in-depth understanding of the current property market trends.
