Melbourne Summer Cycle Riding To Raise Funds For MS

A leisurely Sunday cycle through the city with friends and family or a team of workmates, enjoying wonderful views and a rare opportunity to pedal over the West Gate Bridge certainly makes for an enjoyable and rewarding way to raise funds for people living with Multiple Sclerosis. This Sunday thousands of cyclists will set off between 7 and 8.15 am on a 40 kilometre trip through Melbourne, taking in scenic seaside stretches in Port Melbourne and Williamstown, before finishing where the ride began, at Princes Park in Carlton North. Aiming to raise $750,000 for those with MS, the event engenders community spirit, healthy activity and camaraderie, and caters to riders of varying levels of ability. The cycle itself is a non-competitive event, expected to take anywhere from an hour to around four hours to complete, and top fundraisers can earn awards and prizes. At the end of the ride participants can enjoy a well deserved break and savour the rest of their Sunday by kicking back and enjoying the live entertainment, food stalls and osteopathy service on hand at the finish point.
