The ongoing barrage of media commentary about market performance has kept many potential sellers waiting in the wings until they see an improvement in market conditions. As a result, stock levels are well down when compared to previous years and this is restricting buyer options. What we’re seeing first-hand in our offices are buyers becoming frustrated because they can’t find the property they’re searching for. This buyer willingness, coupled with the drop in interest rates we predict will take place in the first week of November, is good news for sellers. Buyers craving greater choice will be spurred by lower interest rates and the prospects for anyone looking to sell before the end of the year are certainly brighter.
