How long will rates remain on hold? After the RBA recently decided to place the interest rates on hold, speculation abounds as to when, not if the next rate hike will be. With inflation continuing to creep up because of higher petrol prices and the affect of the recent floods on food prices, many economists are predicting that the RBA will lift rates by 0.5% in the next 3 to 6 months.
