CLEARANCE RATES ARE HOVERING IN THE 60-65% RANGE The Melbourne Real Estate market has performed ‘pretty well’ when compared with other major cities in Australia in 2011. Our auction clearance rates here of 60-65% are a good indication of that. Sydney’s auction clearance rate has dropped to 40% and the Gold Coast is in the 30% plus range, however with the full effect of the floods in Queensland and Victoria are yet to hit the National GDP, the Real Estate market will continue to remain static for the foreseeable future, one would think.
