First Impressions Last Many vendors ask me for tips on presenting their property at Open for Inspections. The smell of brewing coffee, candles, baked cookies, flowers and music work at open for inspections. My opinion is the more you can do to enhance your property’s potential sale price, the better. Your house is looking good, maybe better than it’s ever looked. But there are other senses to appeal to on inspection day. Your home should smell pleasing, sound tranquil and feel relaxing too. If you give purchasers a sense of feeling at home when they walk through your home, they will become more emotionally attached, therefore, may be more likely to pay more come auction day. We’ve found in the past that those Vendors who put in a little more effort with presentation tend to reap the benefits with their sale price. It doesn’t take much effort or money to give yourself a better chance of securing thousands more than you first anticipated.
