Sundown City As the day neared its end, I was enjoying my warm trip home on the Wolfe Islander ferry. The sunset was shadowing pefectly on city hall as purple clouds rolled by. I couldn’t resist getting this photo, it almost seemed too perfect! Symmetry was a goal of mine in terms of photography over the course of this summer. My mind tends to gear towards having my target centered, though I generally follow the grid of thirds.
Dead End Early in my summer break, I made my way over to Wolfe Island to revisit some great locations and eat at the island pub. I always try driving down a different side road just to see what’s at the end of them; it’s always a great feeling to find a road with a spectacular view. I took this photo at the easternmost point of the island on a very clear day. Minimalism was another summer goal of mine, and I think this one was my favorite of the whole break.
Wired On a caffeine filled morning in Picton, a cool breeze drifted by I was on the search for another minimal photo to add to my collection. There, before me was a flawless shot. I really enjoy looking at this calm photo and seeing the lone bird waiting to take flight. Traveling early in the morning is an enriching experience, everything feels more exciting and alive! I’m happy to say that I can’t wait to have more of these mornings again next summer.
About Me I’m an Advertising student attending St. Lawrence College with a passion for photography and all things media. In my spare time I like to travel with friends to see new places and experience different cultures. During my summer I trekked to a few neighboring cities and villages in attempt to capture their beauty with my camera. Here are a few of the many events that I documented over the course of my break.
