MERCI
to o u r d es i g n er s
ABOUT MERCI Merci is a place created in March 2009 in the heart of the historic district of Haut-Marais. Bernard and Marie-France Cohen, founders of BONPOINT the children’s fashion label, realized that Paris lacked a place which would bring together the best of the world of fashion, of design, of household goods with welcome refreshment areas. A business established in the heart of its region and of its country, Merci has already created more than 70 permanent jobs. Merci is, moreover, very pleased to act as a developer or launch-pad to the young designers who, thanks to this sounding-board, can make themselves known to the many customers and international personalities who visit Merci. Merci is a commercial enterprise “like the others” founded by shareholders “not like the others”. The founders decided that the proceeds of this investment would serve to fund an endowment to pay for educational projects and development in south-west Madagascar. Bernard and Marie France Cohen therefore want to say MERCI to life, MERCI to the talents and to the designers who made this success possible. It is this success which makes their generosity possible. Thank you to our clients who make this project possible.
MERCI Spring 2014
The right tools for the right purpose, so beautiful you'll never want to hide them in drawers
Sort, store, organise: in the kitchen, in the bedroom, in the living room. These containers are not for hiding, they set the scene
With industrial or iconic creations today, chairs exist harmoniously around a table or stand proudly
alone.
NAVY 111 CHAIR EMECO
In pairs or mismatched, the armchairs selected by Merci harmonise and set the tone of your living room
We either love a comfy sofa with many pillows of soft linen or the sobriety of a straight and skinny one clad in white cotton
Every little part of your wall can accommodate a mini bookcase for your most treasured books as well as those modest little paperbacks.
Merci loves the naturally wrinkled linen, and plays with colour harmonies for a truly unique room.
merci pour le jeu
Cardboard suitcases to store your photos, papers, dolls or a collection of children's toy cars
TABLE LAMP From lamps designed by architects to lamps with handicraft charm, the choice of a table lamp is crucial for easy reading.
Simple electrical sockets, discreet electric cables, or pieces with greater presence, these pendants structure the geometry of a room.
FITTINGS
Whether in the bathroom, the living room, or the bedroom, the wall light is the lighting source that gives the room it's depth
Whether it's the charm of incandescent light bulbs or the sobriety of energy efficient bulbs, aesthetics are not compromised.
TO D RAW, TAKE N OT E S, OR WRI T E .
Mechanical pencils and ballpoint pens give you the pleasure of the contact between pen and paper.
Because no smartphone can replace the pleasure of writing down ones secrets, favourite spots, or ingenious ideas in a notebook.
The most humble notebook can become a unique work of art thanks to some simple masking tape make out of Japanese rice paper.
WALLPAPER Amazing illusions that will transform your walls through ultra-realism.
