THE ISLAND SPA
Inchydoney Island is home to Ireland’s only Seawater Spa and combines a heated Seawater Therapy Pool with Thalassotherapy (seawater) Treatments, using heated Seawater from the Atlantic Ocean. The Island Spa offers a wide range of Spa Treatments including Massage, Facials, Signature Rituals, as well as a unique range of Seawater Treatments.
The Seawater Therapy Pool is a unique feature of the Island Spa and its benefits are numerous. Seawater is pumped daily from the ocean into the Seawater Therapy Pool and heated to 31 degrees. Swimming in water at this temperature allows the pores of the skin expand and the body to absorb the nutrients and goodness from the seawater. Access to the Seawater Therapy Pool, Sauna, Steam Room, Gym and Ocean View Relaxation Areas is offered to all guests of the hotel with our compliments.
Guests can avail of complimentary Yoga classes on the headland overlooking the ocean.
From Surfing to Kayaking, Cycling, Walking and Whale Watching to Seaweed Foraging - there is something for everyone in West Cork.
THE GREAT OUTDOORS
Inchydoney Beach is a playground for the young and young at heart, enjoy windswept walks or learn to fly a kite or simply sit on the headland and watch the sun go down.
ISLAND VIEWS
Róisín Burke, Sunday Business Post
MAKE ME AN ISLAND Top-class food, opulent comfort, surfing, spa treatments, moonlight kayaking, scenery: Inchydoney in West Cork has it all. We woke up rested and revived in the morning to the dramatic music of the sea dashing against the stunning Inchydoney Island shore, and happily sipped Nespressos (nice touch having those in the rooms) on our balcony. If the weather is really dreadful, this is where it hardly matters. The resident’s lounge, a room that looks like a large but more fun gentlemen’s’ club has big soft sofas to get swallowed up in and read, or play Connect Four, or gaze out one of the huge picture windows at the raging sea while a fire blazes in the hearth.
FINDING OURSELVES AT
INCHYDONEY When you spend your time beavering away in the big smoke, surrounded by concrete and stuck in traffic, it’s easy to forget how utterly gorgeous certain parts of Ireland can be and what opportunities for total tranquility you may find should you dare to venture westward.
Nothing quite compares to those days when you can swap the sound of your alarm for the gentle swishing and swooshing of sea. And then there’s the view as you draw back your curtains to find a world of natural wonder laid out before you. That alone would knock years off you.
A weekend spent at Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa gets two enthusiastic thumbs up from us. We’d give it more, but alas, we weren’t born with three or four thumbs.

WEST CORK: TRAINS, BUSES
AND
TAXIS
TO INCHYDONEY ISLAND What I can tell you is that the fire in the resident’s lounge was very inviting indeed and the chat took over and before we knew it,it was time for a big feed of scallops, pork belly, fillet of beef and lamb in the elegant Gulfstream Restaurant. What a beautiful stretch of the Cork coast Inchydoney is, and a perfect place to get your first smell of the year of a salty sea breeze and seaweed.
Anna Coogan, Irish Independent
INCH PERFECT.... “INCHYDONEY beach feels like the edge of the Earth- it is solace for the soul and a break from the rat race. This beach is up there with the best in the world.” Inchydoney is a place everyone should see at least once.
Caoimhe Young, Sunday World Magazine
THE CALM AFTER THE STORM IN INCHYDONEY Down corridors lined with a quirky choice of art work, you get the sense you’re in someone’s home — yes, it’s a big enough hotel, but the style is so autobiographical, you feel cosy — welcomed. And there’s the west Cork accent of the staff, the friendliness that even just an hour up the road fades with time and turnover. There, the pace is slower, guests stay longer, people engage — and it shows.
