The Y is committed to providing affordable and safe child care for families living in Will and Grundy Counties through its summer day camp and Kid Zone programs. We remain dedicated to working with our partner school districts to provide much-needed child care for families like yours.

AMAZING LEARNING EXPERIENCES Teen REACH After School Youth Enrichment Program
Teen REACH (Responsibility, Education, Achievement, Caring, and Hope) is a FREE after school program offered in partnership with Joliet Public School District 86. Hosted at the district’s four junior high schools, Teen REACH programming incorporates the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, and includes a resource-rich curriculum that provides students with academic support, life skills education, recreational opportunities, mentorship, STEM, and service learning activities.

Fall soccer is sure to be a blast for your young player. Your child will learn the fundamentals of soccer during practices and games, while having a great time. All participants will receive a soccer shirt for games.
Practices will be held once per week starting the week of August 28. The majority of games will be held on Saturday mornings beginning the weekend of September 8. This is a seven game season. Registration deadline is August 14. Shin guards are required.

Youth Basketball League
Ages 4-18
When kids play sports, they get more than just exercise. Besides being physically healthier, they have higher self-esteem and a healthier body image. Kids who play sports perform better in school, develop better interpersonal skills, and work better in groups.
The Y Youth Sports program maximizes the positive effects of playing sports by emphasizing healthy competition and promoting teamwork. The Y focuses on the life lessons that can be learned from sports, and coaches strive to instill a positive self-image in each player. Most importantly, in the YMCA league, everyone plays and everyone wins!
