The YMCA’s Kid Zone program is designed to meet the needs of local families. When enrolling in the Y’s before and after school program, families can choose from the following enrollment plans.

The Galowich Family YMCA’s Before and After School Program serves children from Troy CCSD 30C at Messiah Lutheran Church located at 40 Houbolt Rd. in Joliet. Transportation to and from school is provided by a joint partnership between Troy 30-C and Galowich Family YMCA.
PLEASE NOTE: In order for the Kid Zone program at Messiah Lutheran Church to run during the upcoming school year, a minimum number of students must be enrolled. The Y will determine if the program will be able to run by August 6, 2024, and families will be notified.

After School Youth Enrichment Program
Teen REACH (Responsibility, Education, Achievement, Caring, and Hope) is a FREE after school program offered in partnership with Joliet Public School District 86. Hosted at the district’s four junior high schools, Teen REACH programming incorporates the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, and includes a resource-rich curriculum that provides students with academic support, life skills education, recreational opportunities, mentorship, STEM, and service learning activities.

When kids play sports, they get more than just exercise. The Y Youth Sports program maximizes the positive effects of playing sports by emphasizing healthy competition and promoting teamwork. The Y focuses on the life lessons that can be learned from sports, and coaches strive to instill a positive self-image in each player.
