to participate in YMCA programs, regardless of their ability to pay. Through programming at our four YMCA branches and at locations throughout our community, the Y served more than 9,100 people in 2018 who would not have otherwise had the opportunity to participate in membership and programs. As a result, children built friendships at summer camp and through our before and after school programs, seniors experienced community, teens set goals for their future while receiving college readiness and career training, and families grew stronger by spending quality time together. To make all of this possible, the YMCA proudly invested $1.5 million into our members, our community and our future, through scholarship assistance and free community programming. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Giving back and providing support to our neighbors.

IGNITE YOUR PASSION Volunteer Opportunities at the YMCA The generosity of others is at the core of the Y’s existence. It is only through the support of our hundreds of thousands of volunteers and public and private donors that we are able to give back to the communities we serve. We welcome and appreciate youth in grades 9-12 and adults 18 years or older who would like to volunteer their time and expertise. A background check must be completed before volunteers are allowed to participate in any Y program or activity. To begin volunteering at the Y, please contact: Dori Fugate, Volunteer and Development Operations Manager, at dfugate@jolietymca.org or (815) 267-8600, ext. 210.

Providing Opportunities For All We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to participate in YMCA programs, regardless of their ability to pay. Through programming at our four YMCA branches and at locations throughout our community, the Y proudly invested $1.5 million to serve more than 9,100 people in 2018 who would not have otherwise had the opportunity to participate in membership and programs. This was made possible thanks to precious funds donated to the YMCA by generous members like you.

To make a tax-deductible donation to the YMCA, please visit www.jolietymca.org or stop by the Membership Desk during your next visit.

LEARN, GROW, THRIVE EXPLORE THE Y

Through our four YMCA branches and our Central City “Y without Walls,” we are serving thousands of residents each and every day. The Y brings families closer together, encourages good health, and fosters connections through fitness, sports, fun and shared interests. But, most importantly, our doors are open to everyone, regardless of age, income or background. At the Y, no one is ever turned away due to the inability to pay.

Saturday, October 12, 2019 6 p.m. to Midnight Bolingbrook Golf Club $150 per person

To continue to uphold our mission of making the Y accessible to all, the YMCA will proudly host our signature fundraising event, the BE THE GOOD Gala. At the Gala, we will lift up extraordinary individuals and businesses making bold investments in the YMCA’s work to nurture the potential of people living in Will and Grundy Counties. Now in its 12th year, this annual event has raised nearly $900,000 for scholarships to ensure that no one is turned away from the YMCA regardless of their ability to pay. R
