Featuring the works of 89 artists across 9 states, the Indianapolis Art Center is excited to open the Art From the Heartland exhibition on June 26. As a means to highlight the new and exciting creations from Indiana and surrounding states, this biennial exhibition looks to survey Middle America and celebrate the voices of contemporary art that lie therein. Like all of the Art Center’s exhibitions, the Art From the Heartland exhibit is free and open to the public. The works will continue to be on display until August 3, 2020, concluding with prizes including cash awards totaling $4k and two artists being chosen to host their own solo show. For those not able to see the exhibit in person, we will have an online gallery showcasing all of the work featured in the show. This exhibition alongside the two previous exhibitions Body Building: The Art of the Human Figure and the 2020 College Invitational Exhibition will be hosted at: IndplsArtCenter.org/online_exhibition_galleries.
