We got a new addition to the Oslo metal community just after the Inferno Magazine was printed – the metal pub Hellawaits, located in Thorvald Meyersgate 81 (about a 10 minute walk due east from Rockefeller) and hosted by Blood Tsunami frontman Pete Evil (last seen hosting MTV Norways Headbangers Ball..). Inferno Film As most of Infernos clientéle invades Oslo early in the week for the festival, we got in league with Cinemateket (huh-huh) to expand the cultural horizon for all those who spends their easter in the city. Of course, these screenings are open for all, but only the Inferno festival bracelet will give you a reduced price on the tickets – 45 kroner for a movie ain’t bad! In addition to expanding the programme with an additional documentary (“Murder + Art + Norway = Tourism” – the documentary formerly known as “This is Norway”) we can give you a treat you won’t soon forget if you’re a fan of Darkthrone… Wednesday we will open with a screening of the Darkthrone Live 1990 film, with a delightful twist; Metal Hammers Jonathan Selzer will perform an interview with none other than Darkthrone’s Nocturno Culto to learn more about this concert, the remastering process and screening of the material. If you want to experience this – be there EARLY! Interview will start approximately 15.30 – 30 minutes prior to the film screening, and be held in the lobby of Cinemateket.

THE MONK (1972) Rare! Film with a legendary status among cult film buffs as a beautiful, but strange taboo-breaker about a poor monk tempted by a beautiful demon. Banned in Norway upon release. MURDER + ART + NORWAY = TOURISM (2009) Documentary about black metal tourism. With former members of Mayhem, Immortal and Carpathian Forest. PARADISE LOST: THE CHILD MURDERS AT ROBIN HOOD HILLS (1996) A horrible triple murder sends the local community on a witch-hunt for the non-conformist teenagers of the neighborhood. Documentary. SEASON OF THE WITCH (1972) Not really a horror-film from George A. Romero, the maker of Night of the Living Dead, but a strange tale of a bored housewife dabbling in black magic.

ABOUT AMERICAN VENDETTA Christian Sloan Hall is a 35 year old Artist hailing from Orange county California who is now residing in Edinburgh U.K. He has worked in the field of illustration for over 15 years and has designed everything from album covers to tour posters for bands such as, Judas Priest, Danzig, Dimmu Borgir, Queens of the Stone Age and many others. His work has appeared in publications such as Metal Hammer (U.K.), Terrorizer and Zero Tolerance and his work has been exhibited through out the U.S. and Europe.
