INFERNO METAL FESTIVAL 2017 t is with great pleasure we welcome you to the 17th Inferno Metal Festival which make us the longest running metal festival in Norway! This year we have 44 artists playing – and 16 of those bands are from Norway. That means that 36.36 % of the line-up is Norwegian, while the rest are from Iceland, Israel, Ireland, Poland, Greece, England, Germany, Sweden, Canada, USA and Switzerland. That also means that we have a lot of bands that have never played at Inferno Metal Festival or in Norway at all. Tangorodrim, Hail Spirit Noir, Slidhr, Darvaza, Deus Mortem, Panzerfaust, Pillorian, Diabolus Incarnate, Auðn, Zhrine, Kontinuum, Netherbird and Heavydeath are among the bands that are visiting Norway for the very first time (at least according to my memory).

he club night will make you run a bit to get to see as most as possible. We have tried to set the times as best as possible so you will be able to see your favourites of the 18 bands that are playing this night. The rest of the festival should also get you busy with legendary bands like Carcass, Venom Inc., Crowbar, Samael, Gorgoroth, Primordial, Destruction and Belphegor. And we will end the festival with a great bang on Saturday when Abbath hits the stage bringing both own material and classic Immortal songs.

s usual there will be a lot of other stuff to experience during the festival. We have a new hotel that are reserved just for Inferno Metal Festival this Easter. We have a lot of great art exhibits from some of the most famous cover artists in the world. We have some great movies at our own cinema at the hotel. And I think there will also be a party or two going on. Enjoy the metal days at Inferno Metal Festival 2017!

DAN SEAGRAVE
Necrolord is among the best in the hole of northern Europe with his pencil, painting metalcovers. Period. At the Gates, Bathory, Dissection, Emperor, Dark Funeral, Dark Tranquillity, Dismember, Edge of Sanity, Ensiferum, Necrophobic and Tiamat are among the bands he have done universally loved covers for. This is his first exhibit in Norway.
If you could pick among the album covers who defined the start of US Death Metal, as well as the Swedish movement in the same genre. One name comes to mind! We are very proud to present Dan Seagrave’s first exhibition in Norway. He will join us to enrich the festival with his artistic expression. Seagrave has painted timeless covers for

Morbid Angel, Suffocation, Gorguts, Entombed, Dismember, Edge of Sanity, Malevolent Creation, Dismember and Nocturnus. He still paints and are as vital as ever. We are more than exited to see what he will bring to Inferno. So should you.
TRINE + KIM Here we have Inferno's card in the art department for contemporary covers. No one in Norway have made such an impact within visually works in the Norwegian scene the last decade. Statement? Nope, it’s a fact. Darkthrone, Dødeheimsgaard, Solefald, Enslaved, Arcturus, Den Saakaldte, Ihsahn, Koldbrann, Mayhem, Shining, Ulver and Virus counts among their customers. That they’re invited to heighten the art bit speaks for it self. We’re looking forward to see what they will bring us for a visual experience.
ANDERS RØKKUM This guy lives as an illustrator and artist with a residence in Bergen. Dødsengel and The Sickening are amongst the band he have worked with. He might be some kind of an underdog in the company with the most famous artists this year. Don't bear that in mind, his art will go all the way with the music accompanied at Inferno.
TOTO LARA Toto Lara was born in Chile and is his second time to show his works at the Inferno Festival. While studying architecture at University, he started with his first series of paintings. He was working and looking for perfection and gradually he found his own way of expression called Surreal and Dark Art. This type of art is quite different from other conventional mediums. The artist conveys his thought and imagination in a very mysterious and bizarre style that captivates the audience.
