Unconditional Love Keeps Us Connected Feb / Mar 2015 A Health & Wellness Publication Magazine Vol. 60 Southwest Ohio’s Leading Health Magazine
L etter from the editor Dear Readers,
It is time to honor all living beings with unconditional Love, with no boundaries, no expectations. There is no manual for the book of Love, no instructions, no rules, only the purity of Love. In the depth of each soul there is a capacity to Love and be loved. Love changes all things, it is the foundation of precious life, it is a gift. Love can stand the test of time, it can endure unspeakable measures, leading us out of the dark into the light. The symbol of Love can be identified in many ways, it is a warm embrace, a soft kiss, a smile, a song from the heart. Love can be expressed with the written word on a page, it can be spoken and unspoken. Love can be captured in a mere glimpse by looking into the eyes of another. A form of Love is to show compassion for each other, perhaps a stranger whom you will never know. Love is generous and entirely unselfish. Jealousy does not live in the house of Love. Cherish and Love all who have entered your life for the duration or even if it is just for a short time. Open the door, let Love in. Love can create a bond that cannot be broken, it is eternal. It is a blessing everyday if you are observant of the heart and the boundless measure of the tears that go out, the empathy, the Love and direction for those you Love, this is Love in its truest form. Happy Valentines Day! Yours in health,
Jane Phillips Editor in Chief Publisher

The Power of Love by Kathy Vaske We all need it, we all want it, but it seems we continually push it away from us. When we are young we are so busy trying to gain our independence that we can’t seem to let anyone in close. Our parents try to tell us that the things they are doing for us are for our own good, but at the time it certainly doesn’t feel like it. When we are young we spend a whole lot of time just trying to find out who we are. The word love means very little to us then. We say it without even thinking about how it affects the person we say it to. As we reach adulthood we are very self absorbed in getting ahead and frequently we let nothing stand in our way of doing it, not even a relationship. It can lead to misunderstandings at best and sometimes to failed relationships at worst. In our later years we begin to realize the importance of having love in our lives. Love helps us to feel good about ourselves and allows us to feel important in this world. We learn what it is to lose someone that is dear to us and yet to know some where deep down inside, that they are never really very far away. On some level we instinctively know that life after death in some way continues on. It’s the same way we know when we have a child that is struggling with some rough issues, that even if we can’t fix things for them at the moment we can love them through it. Love will eventually overcome all barriers and make all things right if we just continue to give our love to those around us unconditionally. Love can break through even the strongest barriers, if we just don’t give up on ourselves or those that mean so much to us. The best way to create more love in our lives is to give more of it. When love is given freely with no expectations of getting anything in return, it is very hard to resist. If we want to draw a new relationship into our lives we need to try to develop the same qualities in ourselves that we find ourselves searching for in someone else. People that are ready for a real relationship in their lives have already done a lot of work on themselves, and it is the very thing that helps them attract the new special person into their lives. Let us make this a very special Valentines Day this
4
year by reminding all those near and dear to us, both here and on the other side, how much we care for them and that we continue to feel very blessed to be connected to them.

Music of the Heart by Jill Mattson
With Valentine’s Day approaching, our attention focuses on love. The feeling of love makes this holiday a special one. In an interesting sidebar, recall that music creates feelings. The question is, “Can music create love?” These two energies are more connected than we imagine. Both energies have waves, which combine in close proximity. Recall how the sound track of a movie makes you feel. Back to our opening theme, love (and all feelings) can be enhanced with music.
like a novel idea, but it was not in antiquity. Ancient man created positive feelings through sound or music, and then listened to them for an incredible number of times. With each listen they ingested a tiny amount of this desired energy via the music. For example, if they wished to make a boy ferocious, he was constantly exposed to furious music. Likewise, a gentle person was cultivated with constant gentle music. Ancient sages prescribed listening to something special thousands of times until it was a dominant energy within one’s personality.
The question that follows is…”What is the feeling of Love?” The answer is not simple. Love, a many splendored word, has many attributes. For example, love may be kind and yet courageous. Other loving attributes are forgiveness and acceptance. The word love is a cap stone for many virtues. Yet, each attribute of love is a feeling.
We gain a habit, or personality trait by repeating feelings over and over again until they surface from our subconscious mind as an automated response. This is most easily accomplished with the aid of music. We can automate repeats of desired feelings by playing a special CD over and over again.
Using music to enhance a feeling, like love, may seem

attributes of love. This is done today as well. It is even packaged with cathartic release of negative emotions and the building of positive emotions, in music such as The Healing Flower Symphonies. Music builds attributes that compose love, we just have to listen to “loving” music. If you wish to acknowledge your loved one’s beauty – be it their personality or appearance, then play beautiful music to enhance your message. The author created the Deep Wave Beauty CD, designed with beautiful music to make someone feel beautiful. It also contains frequencies associated with vitamins, collagen and muscle in the face and neck. Think of this music as aural makeup or a spa experience, delivering the feeling of beauty on many levels. In yet another way to use music to enhance your message of love, recall that your intentions carry on sound waves. You can say “hello,” communicating to someone that you love him or are angry at him. Your feelings carry on your words. Your intentions also are feelings and they mesh with music. This idea has practical applications. Identify a piece of music for your loved one and make it “your song.” When this song is played, it links you. Your intent becomes entwined with the feelings in the music, as both the sounds and emotions combine into one energy.
Author’s Spotlight Recommended Reads The Story of Edgar Cayce “There is a River...” by Thomas Sugrue Quote from the book- As a young boy, an angel appeared to Edgar Cayce, and he had one request. “Your prayers have been heard,” she said.” “Tell me what you would like most of all, so that I may give it to you.” “Most of all I would like to be helpful to others, and especially to children when they are sick.”
Music is a source of energy that we can use to enhance our body, mind soul and, yes, to intensify our sharing of love on Valentine’s Days and always.
This book reflects the true story of Edgar Cayce, an amazing man that spent his entire life in service to help others. Gifted with incredible healing powers, Edgar Cayce helped thousands of people return to optimal health who were stricken with disease.

Menopause and Hormones:
How to Find Your Natural Balance by Tina Weisenberger, RPh
Women should take advantage of the “power surges” that come with menopause and be their own power and learn about their bodies. Gone are the days when women are content with just taking a pill, especially since the Women’s Health Initiative studies a few years ago showed that these “pills” can carry a significant risk for cancer and heart disease. First, let’s define menopause. Menopause officially comes when a woman’s ovaries are no longer producing eggs, and 1 year has passed since the last menstruation. However, the process truly begins years before in a stage referred to as peri-menopause when hormone levels begin to decline and menstruation becomes erratic. This is when the road starts to get a little bumpy for many women, but it doesn’t have to turn your life upside down. Hormone production in the female body is like a symphony, when in balance, life can be like beautiful music. When hormones are out of balance it can be like fingernails on the blackboard, with everything getting on your nerves. When given the proper tools, women’s bodies are designed for the adrenal glands to take over production of sex hormones as the ovaries decrease production. However, the typical American diet high in meats and fats (the wrong fats), and chronic stress severely impairs the adrenal’s ability to make this transition. There are many options women can use to support a smooth transition into menopause. Diet, exercise, herbs, and or medications assist in this process. Educate yourself about the options. We all know that diet and exercise are good for health in general, and this is especially true for a smooth “Change of Life”. The typical American diet is high in omega-6 fatty acids with a diet rich in meat and dairy. The typical American diet high in omega-6 fatty acids has been shown to promote inflammation and hormone imbalance. Increasing omega-3 fatty acids in the diet helps support healthy hormone levels. Chronic stress causes the adrenal glands to produce more cortisol and less estrogens. This can lead to increase in blood pressure, weight gain, anxiety, sleep disturbances, and general fatigue and the hot flashes
8
of menopause. Nutritional support of the adrenals include vitamin C and B Complex containing Pantothenic Acid (B5). Exercise is a wonderful way to manage stress and decrease cortisol levels. Low impact exercises such as walking, QiGong, yoga and even meditation can help manage stress and support a healthy hormone balance. If lifestyle change, herbal and vitamin supplementation is not enough, hormone supplementation may be required. It is best to find out what your hormone levels are before taking prescription hormones, because too much estrogen can increase the risk of certain cancers. Saliva testing is an easy tool that can be used in determining hormone levels. Once you know what your hormone levels are then a compounding pharmacist can work with your physician to tailor a custom hormone regimen to meet your body’s needs. Knowledge is power. Learn about and listen to your body and find your own natural balance. About the Author: Tina Weisenberger is a holistic and compounding pharmacist. She is the owner of Mills Pharmacy Holistic Health Center in Fairfield Ohio. Tina can be reached at 513-868-6397.

I partake of spiritual wisdom and knowledge from a variety of sources and open myself to different insights. -Stone Two of the Religious Recovery program Imagine a spiritual path that has no religious buildings, no doctrines, and no “holy” books. Imagine a spiritual path that doesn’t set aside one day a week to worship their Higher Power because they believe every day is holy and that the spiritual and the physical work together. Now imagine a spiritual path that also has no banks, no prisons, no slavery or racism, and no social organizations to care for the less fortunate because they understand that all are equal and those

with more material possessions are responsible to share with those who have less. If someone had described such a spiritual path to me, I would have said it doesn’t exist, but this has been the path of the Native American Indians. Stone Two encourages us to partake of spiritual wisdom from a variety of sources, and recently I’ve been reading about the life of these humble individuals who seem to have found peace with themselves and their purpose in the universe. Looking back at the history of America I found it sad that missionaries tried to convert these people from their spiritual “Red Road” without taking seriously the spirituality that was already theirs. I have learned much from reading about their journey, and I find that much of what they believed concerning their connection to the earth and to the environment has proven to be expedient to our present concerns over the healing of the planet. Religious Recovery does not suggest that we abandon our religious beliefs and become Native Americans. What Religious Recovery does suggest is that we can open our hearts and minds to other paths in an effort to learn from them. How do we know that our way is the right way, the only way, or even a better way? And if we cling to one religious belief system to the exclusion of all others when they are readily available to us, aren’t we possibly ignoring Light that could help us on our quest to make it Home? To be sure, I do believe it is possible to have a wonderful religious experience without giving much thought to any other belief system because in most major religious paths there is often enough Light to guide our path. But when our lives don’t live up to the ideals of that particular religious path, what would be the harm in seeking help from people of a different persuasion? By remaining open-minded we can be instruments of peace and not weapons of religious abuse. Patricia Stirnkorb and Dr. Patrick Baker “There are a couple of things you should know about me before I give you my testimony about my experiences with Dr. Patrick Baker. 1. My grandmother nicknamed me “Bea” because I started walking at 8 months. I have never stopped…. 2. I am a firm believer in the fact that if possible, our bodies will heal themselves without medicine to mask the pain or surgery to “fix” it, IF given the proper nutrition, exercise and rest. Now to my story… After a long and fun three-day weekend with my girlfriends, where I drove 11 hours in three days, wore a new pair of tennis shoes while walking endless hours to shop, and slept in a bed I was not used to, I woke up two days later with severe pain down my left leg and across my back. Now, I am not talking “take a Tylenol and go to bed” kind of pain. I could not stand up straight, could not lay down in any comfortable position, could not walk more than 10 feet and when I moved, I literally cried out in agony. I had double knee replacements (both at the same time) six years ago and the pain from that did not match what I was experiencing. After reading some on-line exercises and treatments and trying to “doctor” myself for a week, I called Dr. Baker, whom I had seen several years ago after an auto accident. I went in for a consultation and X-ray to see
10
Dr. Baker looked at the results and did some muscle stimulation therapy and ultrasound and then adjusted my back. I felt great! But it only lasted for about 15 minutes. By the time I walked to my car and pulled myself in the seat (my husband was driving me), the severe pain was back. I had made appointments to come back daily to see Dr. Baker. The pain was horrible and I couldn’t sleep, stand, sit, lay or anything without discomfort—no, that is too mild—without excruciating pain! I cancelled Thanksgiving off at my house and had done NO Christmas shopping! I went back to Dr. Baker day after day, six days a week. After the 2nd week of treatments, wellmeaning friends and family members began to direct me to websites and forward me phone numbers of surgeons in the area. I continued to see Dr. Baker. By the middle of the third week, now the beginning of December, my pain level was at a 9 most of the time (down from what I considered to be an 11 on a scale of 1-10!) The pain in my left leg was so severe that I began to think I had bone cancer or a break in the femur of which I was unaware! I was in tears when I talked to Dr. Baker that day. He just told me to “hang in there; it will get better.” I did begin to feel a tiny, miniscule bit of relief after leaving his office. Generally for about 60-90 minutes my pain level would be bearable. I can’t say I was without pain at all. My leg, even if not aching like a toothache, still hurt all the time. By week four, I could actually see some progress. I began to be able to work a bit, move around and get in and out of my car with relative ease. I continued to see Dr. Baker 4-6 times a week. By the week before Christmas, now a full 6 weeks had passed, I could function will minimal pain until around 6 p.m. By that time I was in the chair the rest of the night. My husband took a photo of me sitting on a stool cooking dinner because I couldn’t stand that long at the stove! Little by little, the pain was gone from adjustment time till close to bed time—12-14 hours at a stretch.
Feb / Mar 2015
I had a trip coming in January to a sales conference and I was concerned about getting around at the airport and then walking around for three days at a conference. But my pain began to diminish rapidly by Christmas. I wasn’t ready to dance a jig, but certainly a waltz!
to adult, then stooping, walking with a walker and in a wheel chair. I literally saw myself in that poster and know without his help, I would probably be on a surgeon’s table by now. His Maximized Living is my next step and I know that with the proper nutrition, exercise and rest, my 62 year old body can once again “dance a jig!”
Now I have been seeing Dr. Baker for nearly two months. The pain in my back and down my leg is nearly gone; the numbness in my left thigh is almost normal, but still tingles a bit. I can walk, stand, move and even go to the grocery store without worrying about “making it through.” I am now down to twice a week and I will continue to see Dr. Baker, or one of his associates, weekly. I don’t know for how long, maybe forever, I just know I NEVER want to be in that much pain again. I am leaving for my conference tomorrow!
Thanks Dr. Patrick Baker, Dr. Brock Frear and the entire staff at Baker Chiropractic and Wellness. You are all amazing!” - Patricia Stirnkorb

A Path to Inspiration
by William L. Molitor, BCH, CI
What inspires me? How do I get inspired? Do I even need or want to be inspired? How can I inspire others? These are questions that people ask themselves all the time. Most of my clients come to Tri-State Hypnosis Center to get inspired. They may want to be inspired to change habits such as eating, smoking, and drinking. Others wish to overcome fears or phobias, and many others want to be able to deal with their anxiety or stress. Inspiration always begins with a thought. An inspirational thought holds a very specific quality and is easily recognized by the emotional invigoration that is experienced at the time of the thought. Once you have experienced that feeling, your mind goes into overdrive to find ways to maintain and or repeat that feeling. You hear stories all the time about people who have performed incredible feats and then when asked what drove them to do it, their answer is “I was inspired”. Anything that you want to change in your life today is only one thought away from becoming a reality.
12
The Wright Brothers did not start building their first airplane until they had that one “thought” that said that it could be done. Bill Gates did not develop his first computer program until he “thought” that he could. And the list goes on and on. Everyone can change their life with just the right thought. The challenge for most is finding that right thought that can motivate you to take action. For decades I have been applying motivational techniques to help myself as well as other people reach their goals and/or their true potential. Generally, people greatly underestimate their capacity for change. Napoleon Hill famously said “Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve”. There are many ways with which I help people to use the power of their thoughts. The most well-known and successful technique is the use of a natural trance state called hypnosis. This natural state is often compared to a deep meditative state. This state is used to help you evaluate your own thoughts at the subconscious level where all thoughts are stored.
Feb / Mar 2015
More importantly, the need to judge or to assign categories such as good, bad, right or wrong is not present in the subconscious mind. You can therefore gain access to your inspiration without having to come up with reasons why you cannot do A, B or C. With this uninhibited assessment of your thoughts you can easily discover that inspiring thought that in turn will create the desire and motivation necessary for real change. Goal setting is understandably a very important aspect to anything that you choose to accomplish. Far too often you will set goals without ever evaluating your emotional drive which is fundamental to achieving your goals. Many people fail to achieve their goals because they believe that they can create enough external motivation to power through any hardship and then they simply cannot understand why they have failed. Motivational experts fully understand the important difference between motivation and emotional drive. Emotional drive or “desire” is the key that turns on your motivation. In order to achieve that emotional drive, the goals that you have set for yourself must be believable. Not having a full understanding of your own beliefs pertaining to your goals can and will limit your success. All of your beliefs are stored in your subconscious mind - so you can see why it makes sense to work in that part of mind. It is important to shed light on those beliefs that may contradict your intentions or goals. Desire is a strong feeling of wanting to have something or wishing for something to occur, and motivation is what prompts you to act in a manner to achieve what is desired. Motivation is the powerful engine that moves you toward success and accomplishments necessary to achieve the goals that you desire.
4. Visualize your goal as if it was already accomplished in as much detail as possible. 5. Read books and articles about people who have achieved similar goals. 6. Sharing your intended goals with others. This increases your accountability. 7. Focus on the benefits that you will gain by achieving your goal. This will increase your desire and motivation. 8. Breakdown the actions necessary to achieve your goal into easy achievable steps. 9. Don’t wait for the perfect time or opportunity. There will never be a better time to start than right now. 10. Start taking small steps toward your goal right now.

Here are 10 easy steps that will help create those inspirational thoughts that in turn will motivate you to be successful. 1. Make your goals very clear. Writing them down will help. 2. Think about and analyze what it is that you want to find out to determine whether it is worth your effort and time. 3. Think about your goal often, as much as three or four times each day.

Adolescent Medicine &
Infectious Behavior Disorders by Dr.Terri Wilkerson Riddiford
Infectious behavior disorders have been well known to medicine for eons. The most widely accepted end study would be neuro-syphillis 77. The turn of the century mental health facilities were full of neuro-syphilitic patients. It was not until the advent of penicillin’s discovery that this infectious behavior disorder, that was so dramatic and incapacitating that it yielded the patient unable to function and in most cases placed in state sponsored asylum, that this neuro-syphilitic disease was eradicated. Even now, in third world countries it is not a very common entity due to the ubiquitous access to the antimicrobial penicillin. Other infectious behavior disorders also exist and were being defined and treatment protocols created to assist those patients with these devastating neuro-psychiatric conditions. One such infectious behavior disorder is PANDAS/PITAND syndromes including PANS. Unfortunately, in 2015, these consolation of conditions which dramatically affect both child and adult behaviors are still quite controversial and not well known. As it has been said the “the eyes see what the mind knows” and unfortunately there is a lack of common knowledge base in the medical community with family physicians as well as pediatricians on this family of conditions. PANDAS stands for Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorder associated with streptococcus, but can also include PITAND, pediatric infectious triggered autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders. They are controversial and still highly contentious conditions which were introduced by Dr. A.J. Alan and Swedo in the late 1990’s. The National Institute of Mental Health(NIMH) includes a sub-section on their web site for these infectious behavior conditions. The premise brought forth in the 1990’s by these researches that certain mental illness, including OCD, tic disorders, including certain cases of Tourette’s can be caused by an infection with common infectious agents including group beta hemolytic streptococcus(GABHS) and possibly by other infectious agents serving as triggers for PITAND including certain viruses, mycoplasma pneumonie fungal infections and also psychosomatic triggers. These are essentially defined as physical illness with mental symptoms and certain recent scientific evidence contains a widening list of other possible mental illness that could also be included into PANDAS and PITAND groups, including certain cases of anorexia
14
nervosa and psychotic symptoms following Lyme disease and at least in some cases of autistic spectrum disorders. Families and children who are afflicted with these syndromes are in a constant state of family crisis. There is hope and PANDAS is noted to be curable in high percentages once the right diagnosis and treatment plan are developed. PANDAS signs and symptoms: Pediatric onset of this condition mostly occurring between 5 and 7 years of age, but symptoms can occur as early as 18 months of age or as late as 10 years of age. If the first clinically recognized episode is detected after the age of 10 it is unlikely a true initial episode but a recurrent one, and the previous episodes were simply just not recognized. The particular patient phenotype of a PANDAS patient is frequently a highly intelligent, very communicative child who is also a very good student. It is common that the patient’s past medical history may contain information about an occasional transient tics, such as a dry cough and certain other degrees of obsession with order, cleanliness, preciseness and also with detailed family history of infantile problems including colic or poor sleeping habits are frequently reported with PANDAS. There is usually a presence or history of certain psychiatric symptoms as well, including OCD symptoms with the most common being vague GI disturbance in which there are unfounded fears including possible vomiting or other dreaded event coprolalia. These symptoms of OCD with intrusive thoughts, anxiety and different phobias are usually involved in all cases. There is also sleep disorders, insomnia and inability to fall asleep or frightful sleep and nightmares are involved with a large percentage of these patients as well. There can be behavioral regression with separation anxiety, insistence to remain close to home with separation anxiety from their bedrooms as well as regression to baby talk and or temper tantrums. These behavioral regressions occur in all most all patients as well. Aggressiveness can occur with a change in their behavior in roughly two thirds of patients. Hyperactivity, inattentiveness, as well as learning disability particularly involving mathematical skills as well as their handwriting skills is usually present in approximately two thirds of patients. The inability to concentrate is present in a majority of patients as well and there can be eating disorders, usually of the anorexic type, involving these children as well. There can be hallucinations but this is not a very common

finding. Physical signs and symptoms include adventitious movements as well as wide pupils when they are having an exacerbation which makes the child appear terror stricken, this occurs in over three quarters of the patients. There is also evolving and various tics present, as well as short term memory loss, as well as enuresis and urinary frequency in more than three quarters of the patients. There is also increased sensory responses in which they have increased sensitivity to light, sound and or touch and smell. This is reported in almost half of all patients. Nonspecific GI complaints are common as noted above with full Gl workups yielding no definitive diagnosis. Characteristic clinical presentation: It is a sudden abrupt, sometimes overnight onset of symptoms. Parents will frequently recall the exact date and or time when the symptoms first appeared. They wax and wane with a saw tooth pattern. Even without treatment, partial improvement in symptoms within four to six weeks can occur, unfortunately certain symptoms, especially the separation anxiety will persist even during these periods. The initial episode maybe associated with GABS infection, however, subsequent episodes do not necessarily need to be related to GABS. Caution the association of PANDAS and GABS appears to be more than causal, however firm evidence supporting the exclusive role of GABHS in pathophysiology PANDAS is currently lacking. Significant elevations of GABS antibody titers, including ASO titers and antiDNase Btiters is common but not necessarily present in every case. Negative GABS titers do not absolutely exclude the diagnosis of PANDAS and this should be highlighted. This condition called PANDAS is a diagnosis of exclusion though decision making matrixs are being developed by leading researchers across the world which will provide a diagnostic framework to assist the work a day clinician. This diagnostic criteria for PANDAS will operate much like the rheumatology criteria for autoimmune disorders, in which there will be absolute criteria and major criteria and minor criteria. This is a work in progress. Please check the NIMH website for updates. Though there is extreme controversy in the medical community to date, there is more and more leading research being done across the world. A new center has been established in California at Stanford University and the West Coast Symposium on PANDAS in April 2014 shed new light and evolving understanding of this devastating infectious behavior disorder. The prospect of PANDAS and PITANDS and associated conditions theory that realization that a

biological agent in this case an infectious vector has been identified as a single cause of a mental illness for PANDAS and possibly PITANDS, and does indeed represent a disease that satisfies the stringent criteria which provides future possibility of affective treatment and cure, highly probable. Once the cause of an illness, in this case a mental illness has been identified, then further research into the adequate treatment including current use of antibiotics which will not only cure symptoms of PANDAS but also in certain cases may cure the patient. One highlighted case of complete cure involves a young man named Sammy. His mother an attorney and PANDAS advocate, Beth Alison Maloney has written several books on the condition, one called “Saving Sammy” and two, “Childhood interrupted. Both of these are landmark resources for any clinician working with families or children. Her son Sammy fell ill and saw over ten physicians up and down the east coast until they finally recognized his abrupt onset of OCD, was involving an infectious agent. Sammy went on to complete two years of anti-biotic therapy and is now once again a highly functioning student as a post doctoral student at Carnegie Mellon University in computer science and mathematics. He is a reason for celebration and hopefulness for families and children dealing with PANDAS as he now has no remnant of OCD or tics and takes no medications. He has no eating disorder. All this due to the persistence of his mother and grandmother in their extraordinary efforts to locate the finale physician in developmental pediatrics. His story is most definitely a success story and can be read in it’s entirety in her engaging book, entitled “Saving Sammy.” Now some ten years after Sammy’s horrendous two years in which they saw nine physicians including two top pediatric neurologists in Boston, along with pediatric infectious disease experts at a leading medical school, had dismissed the possibility of an infectious agent. The treatment protocols have expended to include IVIG therapy, which is an intravenous treatment usually given over several days with the expected result of a complete and lasting cure of the condition in a high number of cases. Also Plasma exchange or plasmapheresis is considered a possibility as well as long term anti-biotic use. The goal of treatment is to find the trigger and treat the trigger. Some researches and practicing clinicians, such as Dr. Rosario Trifelitti, M.D., PHD, in New Jersey considers PANDAS and its related conditions to be a four stage illness and he notes that it is a common modulator of children’s behavior, it is just often misdiagnosed. It should be noted... (Continued on pg. 16)

(Continued from pg. 15) that removal of the adenoids and tonsils has not shown any long term benefit in the treatment of PANDAS by todays scientific review. For further information on PANDAS/PANS and the possibility of an underlying mitochondrial disease, please refer to the reference sources sited below. As an aside and to highlight the extreme controversy within the medical community worldwide, the attorney/author/advocate, Beth Maloney Esquire had written an open letter to the American Academy of Pediatrics, President dated July 14, 2014. You can read the entirety of her open letter, six pages, in which she encourages the President to mobilize the Academy of Pediatrics to develop high profile physician education materials concerning this devastating and misunderstand condition as well as to encourage the AAP to develop practice guidelines for diagnosis and treatment. On her face book page, Beth Malone notes unfortunately, in November 2014, that no response or guidelines are forth coming from the American Academy of Pediatrics at this time. It would be my professional and personal plea that the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians as well as the American Academy of Family Physicians pick up this dropped ball from the AAP and pursue development of clinical diagnosis and treatment guidelines at this time.

I am always hearing the saying, “Let Go, Let God.” What does that really mean? How do I let go of something or someone or even of an outcome when it directly affects my life or livelihood? Thank you, B.B. ________ Blessing to you dear B.B., Yours is a universal question, one I often ask myself over and over. To me, when I say “Let go, Let God/Goddess,” I am surrendering all outcomes to a higher power. I walk in faith completely, believing the outcome will be to my best interest as well as for all others involved.
Feb / Mar 2015
Once you begin the practice, it becomes a way of life and life becomes filled with more peace, joy and abundance. Suffering becomes less and less of our daily experience. Life is meant to be lived and lived fully. When we have faith in ourselves and our connection to Creator we begin to see shifts in our life from the inside out.
I have discovered that when I truly surrender all to God/Goddess, my awareness opens into our only real source of strength, security, joy wellbeing, and unconditional love. We are only in control of ourselves. Our reactions and actions towards outside forces is our choice. Once we begin to realize this fact and live from such idea, we regain our own personal power. As we go through an engaged life, we get all kinds of opportunities to let go of expectations. I believe many of us come to the place of “letting go and letting God” once we have exhausted all other avenues to make someone or something work out in our favor. It occurs when we have done all that is humanly possible. Ultimately, when we do not see the outcome we desire, there are two things we can do: Continue to push and feel more frustrated or begin to realize we have done all we can and now it’s time to take our hands off in order to allow circumstances to unfold as they are going to anyway. Often we agonize over predicaments out of our influence because our ego seeks control. If we are suffering, we are attached. Once we become passionately detached we stop suffering. “Let go, Let God” does not mean expecting God/Goddess to do all the work. It means doing what we can to the best of our ability and then simply letting go and allowing the magic of Spirit to manifest whatever outcome will serve us best for our journey. This takes much faith and trust to allow such surrender, but it is essential for our walk in Spirit Blind Faith.

No matter what comes in the day, at some point, I will always end up at “Let go, Let God.” How fabulous it is to release all that we cannot control to the Universe. applying topically to wounds, scrapes and burns because it is a natural antibiotic and contains antiseptic qualities.
Research has shown that honey contains antioxidants, antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. Raw and organic honey is the best to choose from because it is not filtered or heated.
To create beautiful skin and hair, honey has been used in several hair and skin products on the market. For a smoother complexion, a honey mask is popular for treating skin conditions, such as acne and skin irritations.
Honey has trace minerals and organic enzymes. Some of the best honey can be found from local farmers because when it is raw, it does not go through a process that will minimize the flavor and more importantly the health effects on the body. Honey is invaluable for the countless remedies that it provides; for example, suppressing a cough and soothing a sore throat. It has been known to heal ulcers of the stomach as well and has been found in studies to prevent cancer. Honey produces incredible healing results when

Honey has been effective for treating allergies, however, it is wise to purchase local farm honey closest to the area in which you live, because your body is already acclimated to the environment. Just a couple of teaspoons of honey a day prior to pollen season would be most helpful in building your immune system while keeping allergies at bay. Although honey is regarded as a premier natural healing product, infants cannot consume honey until the age of 1 year old for safety reasons. There

Core Strengthening by Lisa Gerard
The winter weather has arrived and for some just being cold is an issue. If you are unable to go out and enjoy a crisp walk, here are a few tips for exercising safely while warm in your home. Chores are a great way to turn any daunting task into a workout for the core. Engage your abs, such as before vacuuming, washing dishes, carrying laundry (lifting with legs), and tighten your abdominal muscles. Activating the core muscles helps prevent injuries, all the while strengthening back and abdominal muscles.
Need more of a challenge? Then add resistance bands to the exercises, hand weights or a weighted ball. Begin with a lighter weight, (or resistance band) than you know you are able to lift or use, increase repetitions each week for two weeks. Then increase the weight or resistance band for two weeks increasing reps before increasing weight.
Exercises:
Staying hydrated is just as important in the winter as in the summer. Please do not forget to drink plenty of water before, during and after any workout.
Leg Swings: Place one hand on a wall or chair to help with balance, the other arm resting at your side, head should be in a neutral position, abs engaged (without holding your breath), and swing the outside leg (that is not nearest the wall) three inches or a little higher forward then backward while keeping the torso erect. Then repeat turning to the opposite arm and swing the opposite leg (try not touching the ground). You can also try this exercise swinging the leg to the side and back to the standing leg, switch and repeat. The repetitions are based on what you are able to do. Try ten reps on each leg in each direction, performing each circuit twice. Squats: Stand with feet hip width apart, torso upright, head neutral position, knees slightly bent for starting position, and squat as far as you are able, squeezing glutes as you squat downward, then back to the starting position (remember do not lock your knees; knees should be slightly bent when returning to start position). 10-15 reps rest 10-15 seconds then repeat. Lunges: Stand with one foot far enough forward without loosing balance, arms can be out to the side or hands on hips, bend the front knee forward while bending back knee toward the floor, hold for five to ten seconds then return to upright position, repeat with opposite legs. Ten reps each leg, two circuits. Side Lunge: Standing with feet hip width apart, arms forward in front of chest or to the side, step to the right bending the knee forward and keeping opposite foot flat on the floor, then push onto the opposite leg in a lunge. Repeat ten reps, two circuits.
20
Keep your doctor informed of any exercise routine that you begin.
If you do not have the motivation or the discipline to do the exercises listed then at least turn on your favorite music and move to the groove. Exercising keeps the mind active and healthy, your joints lubricated and muscles warm/loose, this is especially important during the winter months. Engage With Purpose The Understanding That Becomes Wisdom Within Us by Michael McAdams Many are the opportunities we are given that enable us to recognize the guidance and teachings made available from a source above our command if we will but open our minds and believe that these communications that come to us in many forms are given with love and presented from our spirit teachers/ angels who truly have our best interests at heart. I have endeavored to share many of the messages and teachings received directly from spirit teachers dictated through Wilma Jean Jones. The depth and quality of these teachings received and the personal nature of this material engages and allows readers to feel they are being spoken to on a level that reflects what they personally are experiencing and speaks to the heart of those willing to accept the divine nature of these dictated messages. Your own spirit teachers share information with you such as this. Allow the pathways of your mind to be opened by the grace and presence of your spirit teachers speaking through you. Many of these teachings will be made available in thought form however taking notes and writing down that which is received shows a receptive willingness that encourages communication on this level. From the collection of messages and teachings received directly from spirit teachers/angels that compose Wilma Jean Jones’ upcoming book “An Angel Told Me So” comes this high teaching. Note the references by these spirit teachers’ to themselves as “we”, “our”, and “us.” Note also the reference to “the many that wait in line” to present these messages. This message was received by Wilma on Saturday, May 16, 1998. “Occupation will bring you together with your purpose. There are many avenues yet to be traveled and precise methods will be required. Together we are surmising all that recalls and brings to mind intentions that are valid and need fulfillment in order that accomplishments are met. Deciding factors ofttimes eliminate that which would alter circumstances, however we are capable of adjusting matters as they are presented to us. Accommodations to rescue your

efforts are in the making and results will bring you together with those who are willing to supply your efforts with thoughtful considerations. Liable in your own right, still you deserve to be comforted and set apart as one who has been faithful to His cause, riding the waves of adversity with the determination to begin anew that which has fortified and kept you close in heart to His Spirit. Determination requires that opportunities are taken and set aside only when matters decide for you, therefore as each day approaches see the results of that day setting a pattern that will be expected if progress is to take place. “There are other avenues we would like to interpret to put your mind at ease concerning your dilemma that stymies your efforts. Fruits are beginning to appear that will bring together what God has intended for your observation and sincere dedication will lead you over these areas of concern at this present time. However you view the picture in your mind, incredible action is possible to alleviate your concerns. We have allocated a time period that will allow your ability to focus on the main issues so that we may introduce you to levels of understanding to enable you to entertain those minds that are hungry for knowledge and understanding. “Waiting in line are many who will present these series and while many are contemplating life forces and the need to pursue truth, you will balance issues of concern to bring new enlightenment that will elevate the consciousness of those who are recognizing that the soul in all that it has endured is but a representation of God’s own handiwork that multiplies over and over a service to enhance and supply ingredients of a nature that consumes and counteracts all that would try to remove and void His intention. Whatever else constitutes His blessing will be derived from times of digression and diversion from the fountain that maintains and constructs the framework of His design and is lovingly singled out and brought to bear as a witness that God’s timetable includes instances when glancing over our shoulders we must acknowledge our stance and become bold in our focus and commitment lest we remake circumstance and release hold on that moment of

conviction that decides the thrust of ambition to succeed and behold there waiting the summation of our accomplishments. “God entitles each soul to reach the pinnacle of His intent, and although words are spoken and experiences expose reality, still there lingers the draw of humanity toward stones unable to give life, with a vision clouded, unable to see the guidance available and content to surface from time to time in order to secure some escape, only to find the journey no longer accommodates their effort. Realize that time holds fruitful experiences for you. Intimidations have created remorse, suffocating objectives. March straight forward toward the goal set by His Spirit to allow entanglements to fall away and freedom to pronounce your own judgments. Release requires complete confidence in your ability to rely on His authority and by His standards you will be given that which He brings into being so to shift existing circumstances into a favorable light. Whenever consequences force determination, mighty is the power available to enliven the spirit in man that draws from His resource of strength and delivers safely the soul dependent on His promises. “Let this be the beginning of time well spent in order to incorporate all that has been presented so that a firm foundation has been established to enable methods that have been put on hold, now bring forward insights of a nature that will combine man’s ability to discern and put into practice His truths that will decide the means by which the soul searching, reaches a place of understanding and harmony within the boundaries of it’s present existence. Listless and lost, the soul diminishes it’s ability and must exercise authority in order to rise above displacement and put into force it’s function to see that God’s love and devotion will bring to fruition it’s purpose when presented in the light of His countenance to those to whom it must serve and resemble His leading in all areas that will substantiate and uphold His precepts, for not only are we accountable for what we have observed and put into action, but the responsibility to bring forward revelations installed while yet waiting in the wings, to enforce and not negate the importance of His Holy Spirit who will continually seek out the hungry soul.”

Unconditional Love Keeps Us Connected by Cindy Huff & Terri Noftsger When I heard that this issue’s theme was about how unconditional love keeps us connected and thriving, my mind went immediately to animals and transition. I know that may sound very odd to you, but read on and I’ll try to explain the connection. I think most of us who have lived with animals at some point understand that they are usually very forgiving of their humans. It doesn’t matter if we holler at them, feed them late because we were late getting home, are so preoccupied that we walk in the door without saying hi to them, go on vacation – they still love us. You can be gone for 10 minutes, come back in, and they will greet you like you have been gone for DAYS. When someone uses the term “unconditional love”, I think the way our animals love us is the perfect example of what they are talking about. Our dog Lukas may be very upset that his dinner is an hour late by HIS clock, but he still loves us. Our cat Diana may want to control when and how we pet her, but she still expresses her love through asking for contact and

purring. My horse may give me “grumpy mare face”, but in her own mare way she loves and trusts me. I’m sure each of you can think of an example like these from your own experience living with animals. This unconditional love is not limited to the physical body. That is because the connection that allows love and communication between animals and humans is not a physical one. The expression of that love can be physical – a dog wagging its tail, a cat purring, a horse nickering - but the actual connection between humans and animals is the connection between the human’s spirit and the spirit of the animal. That connection is the “highway” on which the love and understanding travels. Make sense so far? What happens when a human or an animal dies is simple. There is a chord that attaches the physical body to the spirit or life force of that individual. In death, that chord breaks, and the spirit leaves the body. Where does the

A Space Within by Cynthia M. Brown spirit go? What the animals have shown us over and over is that the spirit/life force goes HOME where it came from. It goes back to the Other Side. We call this process transition. What happens to the chord that the animal had with the human? What they show us is that that chord does NOT break when transition happens. It remains intact, because it is a chord between two spirits, not between two physical bodies. The unconditional love that animal feels for his/ her human does not stop when the animal or human leaves the physical body; it continues on as long as both individuals choose to continue to love each other. Every animal I have ever loved is still connected to me as long as I still love them, and they still love me. I feel that love every time I remember them. I feel that love in my spirit and my heart chakra. Do I feel sad that they are no longer in a physical body that I can touch, smell, see? Of course! But I can still love them, and as long as their spirit continues to love me, I can still communicate with them. That is how Terri and I can hear and see animals that have transitioned Home. You can too – just remember them and see what pops up for you – a memory, a fleeting glimpse of them out of the corner of your eye, the sound of their meow , a feeling of overwhelming love and warmth. They are with you – always – in unconditional love. Please take a minute or two, and tell each of your animals that you love them – those in body, and those that have gone Home. Happy Valentine’s Day to all!

The season of love is here: Valentine’s Day. Last year I wrote about the loss of my beloved four-legged companion Ruby. I wrote about making space for a new companion in the future. That happy day came this past summer. His name is TeddyBear! Yes, all one word and with an exclamation point. He s a bundle of nervous Rat Terrier and Australian Shepard (I think) mixed energy and intelligence. I have been thinking a lot about making space these days. I am trying to create balance in my life around work and home. I live where I work and it can be an all-consuming endeavor if I allow it. I have two very ill parents who live far away and for whom I worry a great deal. I worry for my sister who cares for them, along with her mentally ill husband and daughter. My son has his own problems and I would love to help him. He is 21 and, of course, he knows far more and has far more wisdom than any parent. My partner has wrestled with the demons of chronic depression and trauma most of her life. I worry for her. I try to create safe space for her as she works to heal her own psyche and heart. I have made space in my life and heart for this amazing little life-my TeddyBear! I continue to hold space for all those I love. As I watch my partner work through her healing, I find myself saying things to her that I could also be saying to myself. I encourage her to take just one hour a day and do something just for her-not cleaning, not for me or the dog or anyone else, two or four legged. I encourage her to spend time dreaming herself in a way that does not involve her trauma or any of her relationships-just dreaming herself into being… I hear myself speaking and the words echo large and loud in me. Where is my space within? What have I done recently to love and nurture myself? Where is that space of quiet in which I may dream, create and explore? Isn’t this the essence of self-love; that we create safe space for ourselves; places in which we are free to dream, to dance, to sing, laugh or cry; to create both our world and ourselves? This season of love, I hope each of us will gift ourselves with the space and time within ourselves and our busy lives to find anew who we are and what gives us joy. I hope we seek it, find it and nurture it. Happy Valentine’s Day.

Becoming A Friend of God by Donald B. Carroll
“Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.” John 14:15, (KJV) The Edgar Cayce readings tell us clearly our ultimate purpose is to become co-creators with God, to be companions and friends. “Make thyself, then, put thyself, be thyself, in companionship with Creative Forces. For the purpose is that each soul should be a co-creator with God.” (Edgar Cayce Reading 4047-2) Co-creation refers to the act of creating, as a partner with the divine. According to the Cayce readings, cocreation is a birthright of each soul to become a “colaborer” with Creative Forces (from the Official Edgar Cayce Readings DVD-Rom: definitions). This seems to be a daunting mission; to take on the mantle of co-creating with God and being friends. At times we may feel unworthy or even fearful of such a friendship. We may even feel at a loss as to how to be such a friend or companion. But we don’t need to feel overwhelmed—we are given all the time and lifetimes we need to become God’s friends. “For the Lord hath not willed that any soul should perish, but hath prepared ways of escape. He who seeks will find. He who knocks, to him it will be opened. These are irrefutable, these are unchangeable. What will ye do about them? This is left to the individual. The Lord can only offer. Man, as His child, as a cocreator with the Creative Forces, accepts or rejects. There’s no half-way. You are or you are not! To be sure, there are various stages of unfoldment, of development, but use that thou knowest to do and the Lord will give thee the next step. He doesn’t fail in His promises, even though ye may be far, far away.” (Edgar Cayce Reading 3654-1) I think the above reading points the way to this destined companionship. We are all children of God. God, as a parent, knows that sooner or later we will grow up and mature. I think of my own children—I love them all dearly. When they were young, I loved
26
them, but they really couldn’t be my friends. Now that they have grown to adulthood, I love them as much as ever, and they are also my friends and companions. We share and participate together, and know each other as equals. I sometimes feel as if God is the parent of 7 billion eight-year-olds, loving them all and anticipating, with great patience, their growth to adulthood, to a state of friendship. This also explains for me the purpose of reincarnation: to give all of us as much time as we need to reach spiritual adulthood and become God’s friends. This also answers the theological debate of free will versus predestination. We have free will to make any choices we want—doing so in any manner we wish and taking as many lifetimes as we need to become such friends. The predestination is in that God has not willed that any soul will perish. If it takes 30 lifetimes or 3,000 lifetimes (however far, far away we may be), ultimately we will become God’s friends. Much like the movie Groundhog Day, with Bill Murray—at first we may play with our lives inappropriately and for selfish purposes, but sooner or later we “get it” and unite with the greater good of love and friendship. Thomas Sugrue, author of There Is a River: The Story of Edgar Cayce, made this same point more than 70 years ago: “Each of the systems of stars and planets represented, in this manner, a temptation to the souls; each represented also an opportunity for development, advancement, and growth toward the ideal of complete companionship with God—the position of co-creator in the vast and wonderful system of universal mind. The race of man was fostered by a soul which had already returned to God and had become a companion and co-creator with Him. This is the soul man knows as Christ.” (Reading 294-202 Reports; The Meaning of Edgar Cayce―An address delivered by Thomas Sugrue at 10th Annual A.R.E. Congress, June, 21, 1941.) As to how we begin our ultimate journey of being friends with God—“in the vast and wonderful system of universal mind,” the readings show us a way: “In cooperation is the offering of self to be a channel

of activity, of thought; for as line upon line, precept upon precept, comes, so does it come through the giving of self; for he that would have life must give life, they that would have love must show themselves lovely, they that would have friends must be friendly, they that would have cooperation must cooperate by the giving of self to that as is to be accomplished whether in the bringing of light to others, bringing of strength, health, understanding, these are one in Him. (262-3) About the Author: Don Carroll spent his career working in Fire & Rescue, as a district chief, academy instructor, and paramedic. During those 30 years, he raised a family and pursued the meaning of life
through extended study into the Cayce readings and other spiritual, scientific, and philosophical materials. Today, Carroll is a regular speaker and writer of metaphysical topics from Cayce to the Kundalini. He spent 10 years researching and writing his latest work, Sacred Geometry and Spiritual Symbolism: The Blueprint for Creation. Carroll is also an international tour leader for the nonprofit Association for Research and Enlightenment, visiting sites of a spiritual nature across the globe. His website is DonaldBCarroll. com. Astrology by Mary
Aquarius January 19 – February 18
This is indeed a lively time for you, as not only is the sun in Aquarius, but also Mercury is retrograding in Aquarius. It will go Direct in mid February but remains in Aquarius until mid March, and much of this time will be spent on checking out many new ideas to see which will be the most productive. There are still necessary issues to be completed and resolved which have been bugging you for awhile, but you are close to new beginnings, and there are likely several partners who are eager to assist you with the game plan. You may be changing your mind several times, so don’t settle into the first idea you see. This is a “revolving door” period so you need to keep a sharp eye out on where you are going. Be sure to check the bottom line on the bank balance before you sign anything.
i
Pisces February 18 – March 20
This whole period for you seems to be centered on the process of “finding” your true self, which can be scary and exhilarating all at the same time. The new moon on Feb 18 is at 0 degrees of Pisces, and the Solar Eclipse on Mar 20 is at 29 degrees Pisces, so if there was ever a time when you can take advantage of “being all that you can be”, then this is it. Please don’t “drown” in your sometimes pity-party, but the encouragement of friends will keep you on track. Early Pisces do seem to be making a career shift, and may just be stepping up to the plate to put themselves in the lime light, which admittedly, is not very comfortable for them. But now is the time, so take a deep breath and go for it!
^
Aries March 20 – April 19
For you, Aries, this period seems to be almost split in two, with matters having to do with work, service, your own health or that of loved ones seemingly taking up the first half of this period. But then, the Solar Eclipse on March 20 will register at the beginning of your sign, and does signify a brand new start of sorts. The transiting Uranus in your sign is definitely edging you on for new beginnings of all sorts, with both Mars and Venus in Aries right now. A full moon early Feb in Leo will be extremely exciting, and for early Aries, the transiting Saturn in Sag is supporting you for learning or travel. For many, there
28
appears to be a major overhaul in career situations, or position in life, so, to boil it down, the old order is leaving and a new one is coming in!
_
Taurus April 19 – May 20
For you, Taurus, who needs comfort, security, and routine, this period is somewhat agitating, as there are planets creating change and unrest at this time, and you can’t do much about any of it. There could be loved ones who are ill. Or you may be getting to a point where you are stirred into activity because of home matters, dwelling, etc. which are beyond your control. Also, you could be feeling the urge to move into a future which will be beneficial, but there are still fuzzy areas around the details that can be holding you back. Matters involving high finance may activate some of your concern, and for some, who have children, those children are going through some unforeseen circumstances which can be stressful. But they count on you to be there for them – and that is your gift!
`
Gemini May 20 – June 21
Wow, Gemini, you are about to get very busy with some new ideas and projects, and it is all because your ruling planet, Mercury, is in Aquarius for almost the whole period here. You do very well in Aquarius, because that sign feeds your thirst for information. Yes, Mercury will be retrograde, but that just adds to the fact that you are doing some extra hard-core searching to see if this is what you are looking for! The love of learning is very strong now, and there could be a partner or a person who holds the key to your quest. From all this activity, you could be building a whole new future for yourself. There are a few aspects showing that indicate concern over the health and wellbeing of parents or other family members, and there are situations here that appear to be out of your control.
a
Cancer June 22-July 22
Well Moon-Child, the lunar energy that starts this period is
Feb / Mar 2015
e Scorpio focused in your money houses, and Jupiter involved can mean that there is a fair amount going out, (or coming in) but it would seem that it is all related to a good cause. There are planets that involve your work/labor area and also career area that support this outlay (or demand it). However, there is a plan here, and while you may not be fully aware of what the outcome will be, there is a need to move this along. Some Cancers will find that their spiritual/psychic abilities are developing quite nicely, and that will lead to a growing sense of self-worth. A friend or associate can give you some well-thought out advice as to where and when your efforts will be paying off.
b
Leo July 22 – August 22
Oh great one, this period for you has Jupiter, planet of expansion and good fortune, in your sign, but the little drawback here is that now it is retrograde, which may mean that some of the activities, or excitement that you were expecting is a bit late in coming. The house of partners is quite active, with people bringing in all kinds of information, or possibly not agreeing with you as much as you would like. However, the tide seems to turn, especially in March, where there are plans for growth, and/or trips that just may come to pass. In the long run, this is a very good period for you, and the only drawback is having to wait for the best to show up. So, just “chill” for a bit, and let the universe come to you for a change!!
c
Virgo August 22 – September 22
Virgo, this particular time frame will test your level of patience, because your ruling planet, Mercury, will be retrograde for ¾ of this period, and will be in the sign of Aquarius (which could drive you a little over the edge), and is located actually in your work house. So, the good news is, you are always up for more work, but the bad news is that there are some new work goals, which don’t exactly follow the tried and true methods. So, you appear to be the only one in the bunch who knows how to put everything together so it will all work. And they are all in a hurry! Take the time you need to get it all done correctly, and ignore the chatter and the distractions in the background.
d
Libra September 22 – October 23
This period begins with your ruling planet, Venus (along with Mars) in the territory of health and work. If it is health, there may be situations that don’t always show up on the scans. If it is all about work you have to do, there is a sense that you are wearing yourself out, with no time to relax and enjoy, which you seriously need! On the other hand, partners, and/or best friends, will be keeping the wires hot with their demands for attention. Some of this may just be actually lots of fun, but you know you need some quiet time to regroup from all the distractions. Be sure to take it. Parents or grandparents (or your role as a parent) may demand a bit more attention than usual.
Infinity
October 23 – November 21
This period finds you focused on the area of creativity, which includes children, love affairs, and any activity which is joyous. There is a sense of giving without restraint, and it would appear that the area of ideas and thought processes is engaged seriously in finding answers to questions that have been puzzling. New activities in the home area, sudden changes here, will affect your career decisions, but planets in the area of work and labor are extremely active right now in the manner of bringing new beginning and/or new skills to the table. A solar eclipse on Mar 20 will activate much of this thrust towards new plans.
f
Sagittarius November 22–December 21
Now it is your turn, Sagittarius, to have Saturn, the teacher, in your sign. The lesson here is involved with “what do I know, how much do I understand” and in this particular time frame, there are lots of other planets coming in to enlarge that scope. Jupiter, planet of higher learning and long journeys is helping out, and the full moon early February is highlighting this urge for “more”. Planets in Aries are cheering you on, especially in the March period. The Mercury retrograde is urging you to check out information that you may be unfamiliar with. February shows some concern over family members, but March will be a grand recovery.
g
Capricorn December 21 – January 19
Cap, you have lived through ½ of Pluto’s travel thru the sign of Capricorn, and by now you understand that Pluto will eliminate old patterns and give birth to new ones. The retrograde Mercury through this period is suggesting all kinds of new efforts to revamp your value system, especially as regards your own self worth. On the other end of this see-saw is Jupiter, suggesting or demanding that you embrace some new techniques which will assist your goals. Matters on the home base seem to be very active, and even possibly a move of some kind. A solar eclipse late March will move in to highlight the home base and/ or parent role.
