SUNDAY FOLKS SHANGHAI POP-UP
THE SHANGHAI EXPERIENCE
Sunday Folks opened a pop-up experience in partnership with Kerry On at Jing An Kerry Centre from August to October 2018. Planning started 8 months earlier with location scouting and space planning. One of the main citeria was to recreate a similar experiece as the Singapore outlet and given the pop up was only going to last for 2 months, a lot of considerations had to be considered given the constrains of not just the location within the mall but also the equipment and furniture needed.
To prepare the audience for this pop up, we came up with the liner: “Sunday Folks, The Shanghai Experience.” A throwback to the concept & philosophy of Sunday Folks.

SUNDAY FOLKS JAKARTA FIRST OVERSEAS OUTPOST
Nestled in the quaint leafy neighbourhood of Pantai Indah Kapuk, North Jakarta, Sunday Folks opened in Jakarta on February 2020. Serving a range of delicious premium handmade ice creams, Belgian waffles, cakes & desserts which are crafted fresh daily from natural quality ingredients sourced locally and internationally.
“It’s about bringing back the traditional craft of dessert making. In our modern society, many of the foods we eat are highly processed and commercially produced with unnatural additives – these include the sweets and ice creams that we and our children enjoy so much. At Sunday Folks, we love to develop our own unique recipes and to explore using natural ingredients sourced from local farms. We are truly excited with the rich food cultures and diverse ingredients found in Indonesia, and look forward to working closely with local communities for flavor inspirations.”
