One of the many benefits of belonging to a nonprofit electric cooperative like Inland Power is that you are an owner. The amount of equity you earn is determined by net margins – the amount of revenue collected in excess of expenses for that year. These net margins are returned to you in the form of capital credit checks.

In total, Inland Power has returned more than $32,000,000 in capital credits to our members so far. In the past we’ve had members inquire about how they could donate their capital credit refund back to Inland Power. While the choice is entirely up to you, Inland Power started an Operation Round Up program in 2013.
Cooperative ownership brings you value year after year and does have its privileges. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the years to come. We wish you a safe, healthy and joyous holiday season.

Test Your Smoke Alarms You can prevent possible tragedies simply by testing and maintaining your smoke alarms and practicing some safety tips: • Install smoke alarms inside and outside each bedroom and sleeping area. • Install alarms on every level of the home. • It is best to use interconnected alarms. • All smoke alarms in your house should be tested monthly and batteries replaced annually. • Every family should develop a fire escape plan and practice it at least twice a year. • Replace all smoke alarms when they are 10 years old.
