A reminder to members

Inland Power performs right-of-way maintenance as part of our ongoing effort to promote both public safety and reliable service. This maintenance involves trimming and/or removing certain trees and other vegetation growing near our power lines. For the next several weeks/months, we will be dispatching a contract crew into your area to begin performing this maintenance work.

All trees within Inland’s 20-foot (10’ on each side of the power line) right-of-way are subject for removal, including small trees. Additionally, trees outside of our right-of-way that are deemed to be a hazard to the safe operation of our utility system (i.e. dead, dying, uprooting, etc.) will be removed. (Sorry, there will be no chipping of dead limbs and/or trees). When the situation requires, Inland Power will mow rights-of-way to ensure areas are clear of excess vegetation and trees.

Inland Power desires to work cooperatively with property owners when performing removal and/or trimming work on trees considered part of a property owner’s landscaping. Such trees will be trimmed 10’ from the primary wire. Live tree limbs will be chipped. Wood too large for chipping will be cut and left on site. Live trees that have been cut, but are not accessible by chipper, will have limbs “lopped and scattered” for quick decomposition and logs left on site. If you have a locked gate on your property, please call Inland Power to make arrangements for this maintenance.

As a free service, Inland Power will disconnect the service wire (the wire between the transformer and the meter) if a property owner desires to down a tree near such wire. Members who would like wood chips are invited to visit www.getchipdrop.com. Please read terms and conditions prior to signing up. Inland Power does not own or operate this service. If you have any question or concerns, please contact us at (509)747-7151

New rate notification

Effective April 1, 2024

Dear Valued Member,

As an Inland Power member, your electric rates are amongst the lowest in the region. Our goal is to maintain these low rates while continuing to successfully provide all our members with safe and reliable electricity. We understand the need to be proactive in our efforts to keep rates affordable, while improving our system infrastructure and distribution. Although rate increases are never popular, they are necessary at times. Over the last two years Inland Power has experienced power supply cost increases, increased regulatory obligations and rising material/equipment costs. As a result, effective April 1, 2024, members will see an increase in their rate schedule.

We appreciate the opportunity to be your utility company and to serve you. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at inlandpower@inlandpower.com

Temperature sensing plug program

Limited time offer for members

Every year, members pay unexpectedly high bills for something so easy to do; forgetting to unplug small heaters. There is a simple solution -- temperature sensing plugs. Inland Power is offering two FREE temperature sensing plugs to all members. This device shuts off energy wasting heat devices such as small heaters, defrost wires, engine heaters, pet warmers, well heaters, animal water and grow lamps. The sensing plug turns connected devices on when the temperature drops below 39 degrees. As the

temperature rises back above 39, it stops the flow of electricity eliminating wasted energy and saving you money!

This is a limited time offer while supplies last. Due to limited supplies, Inland Power members can submit one claim per household.
