Line Tracing ( NON-PROGRAMMABLE )
1. Objective Follow the line as far and as fast as you can. The robot will be placed at a pre-assigned starting point and may be started by hand as directed by the judge. Once started your robot must navigate along a black line as quickly as possible. As the course progresses the complexity of the line becomes more difficult and may include (but is not restricted to) the following distractions. •Gentle rounded corners •Sharp rounded corners •Sharp obtuse angles (greater than 90 degrees) •Sharp acute angles (less than 90 degrees) •Dark tunnels (make sure your robot can see in the dark and fit through the tunnel) •Gaps in the tape (robot might leave line and have to find it again ) •Hills (both up and down) •Bumps (small cracks may exist on surface) •Distractions Robot operators are allowed to replace an errant robot on track but will suffer a penalty for each replacement. Each stage must be completed before the next is started. The course layout will not be made available until the day of the event 2. Robot Control The robot shall be Autonomous. Search & Rescue SEMI-RC
1. Objective Participants are required to build an autonomous, remote controlled or both, robots that can accomplish a set of tasks and obstacles in the given playing field. ( eg. Half a basket ballcourt ). The Playfield may be on uneven grass land. 2. Robot Dimensions 1. The size of the robots at the starting box shall not exceed60cm by 60cm by 60cm. However, robots are allowed to expand to any size after the game starts. 2. The maximum weight of the robot is 60kg. 3. Only 1 robot is allowed at the starting box during the start of the game. The Robot is allowed to subdivide itself into as many robots as the team wishes after the game starts and the Robot must leave the starting box as a whole unit. 3. Robot Control Robots will be Remote Control Detail games rules in: Proposal WRG 2016 or www.worldrobotgames.com
Games Rules Underwater RC
1. Objective Underwater vehicles are vital to port &harbour security, naval and scientific exploration, underwater cleaning etc. This fun-filled and challenging competition aims to introduce students to this fascinating world so that they can explore career opportunities in this field. The competition will spur interest and promote education in this area and motivate young and aspiring engineers and scientists to further pursue this field. 2. Robot Specifications 1. The robot should at the start of competition fit in a box of 30cm (width) x 30cm (length) x30cm (height). Any vehicle found violating the dimensions shall be disqualified immediately. 2. During any attempts, the vehicle should not exceed 40cm in any one dimension. Thisspecification however does not prevent the initial vehicle from splitting up into multiple partsas long as the above conditions are satisfied. The latter condition above would then apply toeach completely disconnected part. However, at the start of the competition, the vehiclemust be assembled as a single unit. 3. In case of AUV’s, the method of wall sensing is at the discretion of the builder. However, the AUV must not exert a force on any wall of the tank likely to cause damage. 4. Wheeled or legged machines running or any other method of movement that requires the surfaces of the tank to move will not be allowed. Anyother method of propulsion is at the discretion of the builder, provided that the power sourceis non-polluting. Use of any kind of explosive material is prohibited. Nothing may bedeposited off by the machine in the tank. 3. Robot Control Robots will be Remote Control Detail games rules in: Proposal WRG 2016 or www.worldrobotgames.com

The team with a higher number of fire extinguish within the given time period wins. 2. Robot Dimensions The Full size of the playing field is 2m x 4m ( 200cm x 400cm ). There are a total of 24 rooms and 1 “GRAND FIRE” spot in the middle that has a fire protection mechanism 3. Mission of game The competition will start when the player turns on the robot. After that, robots need to run automatically. Robots are allowed to hit walls in the arena during movement, however is the arena is damaged in anyway, the robot is disqualified immediately. The robot’s mission is to find rooms, identify a fire spot, and extinguish as many fire spots as possible. 4. Robot Control The robot shall be Autonomous. Detail games rules in: Proposal WRG 2016 or www.worldrobotgames.com
